Ooh vitalist I love vitalist

Ya, they're a pretty neat class. The collective ability is awesome, and it takes the onus of healing others off of one class and allows anyone to heal someone else.

Shadow Lodge

I suggest getting yourself some boots of the earth as soon as you can

Shadow Lodge

Two levels of Alchemist for Tumor Familar. Spread out that fast healing 5. :)

that would be flavorful with some Mindchemist haha (not sure on the mechanics though, never played a mindchemist)

Sczarni

I had a skald with a tumor familiar. Since he was a dwarf, I made it his liver. It detached and ran around and there's a cantrip to turn liquid anything, -anything- into booze.

So when the long, sailing adventure begins, he drank the sea water. It was delicious.

Made an Incanter. She's a life/light/destruction spherecaster, background will follow.

well, yes...

That or an abarent bloodline sorcerer (arguably abarent bloodline bloodrager)
Sadly neither of those are third party options

Also, boots of the earth don't require dipping

Edit: Ooh! He could get the abarent bloodline via eldritch heritage! Or variant multiclassing!

Fun Fact: If you are interested in playing a Paizo class, you'll need a 3rd party archetype from the sources listed above. Otherwise they aren't listed in the possible classes. This was on purpose. ;)

Is this true if you use a 3rd party race? I was planning on submitting an Oakling Monk to do a rift on Groot.

As a help to the DM, here are players we have substantial character work from, as far as I can tell. I'm not perfect, and if I missed something, feel free to copy and add to the list. This is people that have submitted pretty much anything more than a concept be it backstory, fluff, or a full character:

Syltorin: Incanter
Burnscar: Incanter
Vrog: Vitalist
Zayne: Dragon Rider
Crayfish: Mage knight
Arqran: Warlock

I believe you'd need to make use of one of the available 3rd party archetypes.

Shadow Lodge

Thank you for the list, Magic. It's quite helpful.

This is correct.

When is recruitment over?

Shadow Lodge

At the moment I do not have a set date, as I want to let MisterLurch have time to look over SoP and make a character if that's what he still wants to do. That being said... maybe this coming Saturday or Sunday.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Thank you for your amazing patience! I am indeed still interested and working on getting my head around the SoP.

I will have more for you tonight.

I'm still working on the beguiler concept...been sick all weekend and work has been nuts (still).
If I don't have anything by Sat, then I probably won't.

I wish I had the time to dive into SoP. It looks like an awesome system.

Shadow Lodge

It's pretty amazing. Simple too.

Sczarni

It's simple, but my goodness. Option overload. Like a new person to Pathfinder; there's just so many choices.

So I am looking at a mid to high caster. I am thinking either a lizardfolk or something else tribal, and the flavor I am putting together is highly shamanistic.

So a bit more delving, and I am thinking either Sphere Shaman or Shifter.

Shadow Lodge

Both are pretty cool options and can fit the shamanistic feel you're wanting.

So with SoP, is it generally better to only get a few spheres and be really good at them, or to get many?

Shadow Lodge

I depends. High Casters can afford to get many, Low Casters not so much.

MisterLurch here. Took me forever and a day, but he is almost ready.

I present to you: Krish, Half-Orc Sphere Shaman!

Some background and description to add, and some equipment to buy and some to pay for.

But he is here. Sorry for the long delay. (there are so many options!!)

putting my submission together today

1 person marked this as a favorite.

My first assumption when I saw this thread's title was that this would be a PbP about a "third party" following the "main heroes" around in an AP, cleaning up messes and alternately helping/hampering the Alpha Team. ;D

Best of luck regardless!

Shadow Lodge

....that sounds kinda fun, actually.

Tenro: Cutting it a bit close, but I look forward to checking it and the rest over tomorrow.

thanks for the consideration. if i dont make it, i dont make it. this week was one of those weeks, haha.

alas, i have as yet not been able to finish the character. i'm kinda having some difficulty deciding what i want to do and i need to go to sleep.

if i decide in my sleep and wake up to finish it, then bully for me.

BUT

if you select before i wake up to finish it, then happy gaming to everyone!

Have we decided which one we will play?

I think we settled on Dragon's Demand.

Shadow Lodge

Recruitment is now closed. The Dragon's Demand menu party will be posted tomorrow. Thank you everyone that has participated!

Shadow Lodge

Alright, this took quite a bit of thinking and deliberation on my part, so first off I'd like to thank everyone again. I saw great characters and wish I could have picked more.

Players:
MisterLurch
Magic
Crayfish Hora
Vrog Skyreaver

Please head on over to discussion and dot it.

But, but...Dragon Rider. Awwww.

Sczarni

I'm sorry dragon rider. You will always be cool in my book. I will bring the rain for you.

Shadow Lodge

I love Dragonrider too, I really do, but I had to make hard decisions.

I wish I learned about the Nightblade earlier. :(

Path of Shadows is awesomely [pun]DARK![/pun]
