Fiallain
Round 1
Still holding the power, Fia races towards Chen and Alathea's position, hoping to reach them before the enemy cuts the two groups off from each other.
Keelix Andren
Keelix runs forward, leaving the bow work to Rhoekk and his lightning bow. He slides his bow back into its case on his back as he runs, drawing his greatsword to replace it.
Rhoekk of the Tardaad Aiel
Round 1:
Rhoekk dashes forward down the path, after the trollocs moving away from them. Once gaining a clear line of fire at the curve in the path, he drops to one knee in preperation to loose a flurry of arrow fire.
Round 2:
Rhoekk starts loosing shot after shot, picking out a new trolloc with each shot, knowing that the beasts were likely to be dropped after a single hit. He started with the one furthest to the rear, advancing up the line as the rearmost fell. The sound of lightning striking was likely to take a bit of the surprise out of things, but the furry of strikes at their heels might also serve well to confuse and panic them.
1d20 + 18 ⇒ (2) + 18 = 201d8 + 9 + 3d10 ⇒ (1) + 9 + (4, 10, 2) = 26
1d20 + 18 ⇒ (19) + 18 = 371d8 + 9 + 3d10 ⇒ (4) + 9 + (9, 9, 2) = 33
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (17) + 13 = 301d8 + 9 + 3d10 ⇒ (5) + 9 + (8, 4, 7) = 33
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 13 = 201d8 + 9 + 3d10 ⇒ (5) + 9 + (2, 8, 6) = 30
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 231d8 + 9 + 3d10 ⇒ (3) + 9 + (6, 1, 9) = 28
Ryvin Altessar
Round 1
Ryvin charges down the path, skirts held aloft with one hand, sword of dark flames flickering and roaring in the other.
Round 2
The Ebou Dari comes to a halt a step behind Rhoekk and gazes at the mass of Trollocs. She grins, the way a shark or a ridgecat grins just before the strike, and jabs one hand forward. A globule of trembling, wobbling air shoots along the path and to the centre of the Trollocs -- and there erupts with a BOOM of thunder!
Kiss of the Storm, 5th-level, aimed at the centre of the Trollocs. It should take in most of them without hurting Chen. Damage to the tune of 10d4 ⇒ (4, 1, 2, 3, 4, 3, 3, 2, 1, 3) = 26. Reflex save DC 19 for half damage. Fail Reflex save and make a Fortitude save DC 19 or fall prone.
Amorial Suth
Round 2
Amorial begins to Inspire Confidence in his allies allowing them to gain a +2 to saving throws vs. Fear as well as the same bonus to Attack and Damage.
"My friends, cast aside this lot! Our strength and perseverance shall overcome the minions of the Dark One!"
Even if I stop speaking next round, this will last for the next 9 rounds thereafter.
RIZZENMAGNUS
well, i could be evil and say that ryvins kiss would encompass the chen and the group as well, but i didnt specify that the scale is correct where the melee brawl with chen and alathea and the rest are located, so i wont.
just to state, everyone is approximately 4 miles away from the door
to keep things easier for me, i am going to do as much group rolling as i can. for example, with ryvin's weave affecting pretty much all of the trollocs, rather than roll 18 different rolls and figuring out who gets what, i am going to make one roll and apply it to all. if a weave or effect affects a single trolloc, that is different.
vs kiss of death for all trollocs: 1d20 ⇒ 19
the trollocs stay up.
other: 1d20 ⇒ 12
releasing 5 arrows just as fast as a weave is cast, rhoekks arrows strike into the backs of 5 trollocs just as the thunderclap of the Kiss strikes in the center of the group.
The tightness that the trollocs were running does not work in their favor as a majority of the trollocs are struck hard by the shockwave. The shockwave also hits the nearby trees, causing the blight stricken trees to snap in half and fly into the air, or lean dangerously away from the detonation, only to have the pressure relax and have them swing to far back, snapping their trunks and having them fall across the trail, blocking the sight beyond.
on the map, note the thatch looking material upon the trail.
as the forest comes down around the trollocs, some of the plant life seem to develop life, and reach out to the trollocs, wrapping up hands and legs and feet with their brown diseased foliage.
save vs entangle: 1d20 ⇒ 9
with roars of outrage, many trollocs thrash about, seeking to free themselves from the annoying weeds.
free of entanglement DC 15: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
their efforts are for naught, as the weeds and trees retain their grip, slowing the trollocs down.
Slowed down, but not stopped, several of the trollocs move about, seeking to surround Chen. The ones that were standing in front of him, not having to move more than 5 feet, swing their swords in long heavy overhead arcs towards the ogier.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
two of the trollocs, unaware of the branches wrapped around their arms and swords, swing hard, only to have the sword ripped out of their hands and hung up above their heads, leaving them, for the moment, unarmed. the lone trolloc to retain its sword swings and clangs again off of chens armor.
Just then, fia, ryland, analin, landa and merdrith all burst out of the woods and onto the trail 30 feet back, and make a last ditch sprint to rejoin chen, alathea, kodokura and zira.
not to far to the south of you, you hear the sounds of more trollocs approaching.
start round 3.
Keelix Andren
Round 1
Keelix races along beside the others, Greatsword held balanced on one hand.
Round 2
When Ryvin stops, he charges forward to strike at the nearest Trolloc with the force of a landslide.
Boulder Rushes Downhill: 1d20 + 16 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 16 + 2 + 2 = 31.
Damage: 2d6 + 16 + 2 ⇒ (1, 5) + 16 + 2 = 24.
Ryvin Altessar
Round 3!
Still grinning like a predator, Ryvin unleashes a lesser version of the weave she just used, the globule of air encapsulating the smaller huddle of Trollocs in front of her part of the group. She takes pains to make sure Keelix will remain outside the weave's influence...
3rd-level Kiss of the Storm, aimed to hit the group of Trollocs closest to Ryvin, not humans or Ogier. Damage of 6d4 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 1, 1, 2) = 10, Reflex save DC 17 for half. Fail Ref. save and roll a Fort. save, DC 17, or fall prone.
Amorial Suth
Round 3
If Amorial sees the third group of Trollocs coming from the South, he will use Entangle to slow the front of the group down.
If Amorial does not see the third group coming from the South just yet, he will simply continue to Inspire Confidence in the group.
Chen Armand
No trolloc could match his skill with blade, as they fumbled and flailed, Chen worked with brutal efficiency, attacking those foes near him and switching from one to the next as they fell.
attack: 1d20 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 17 + 2 = 29
attack: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 12 + 2 = 33

Crit confirm: 1d120 + 17 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 17 + 2 = 26
Damage: 2d8 + 21 ⇒ (4, 8) + 21 = 33
Critical hit: 4d8 + 42 ⇒ (8, 5, 2, 6) + 42 = 63
Damage: 2d8 + 21 ⇒ (1, 8) + 21 = 30
Alathea Neribar
Although she's seen their likes before, Alathea's breath catches as she sees the trollocs crashing through the underbrush. Working at a feverish pace, she weaves together strands of saidar to construct a barrier against the foul creatures, intent on keeping herself and her companions safe.
From the looks of the map, a 25 foot radius should be enough to encompass the whole group. Any more than that risks getting an excessive amount of trollocs in the circle too. Hence, Alathea is casting a protection from shadowspawn weave at level 4, centered on herself and encompassing all of her companions. There'll be some trollocs inside, but hey, that's what Chen's for.
Fiallain
Round 3
A spear of undulating, licking flames appears in Fia's hands. Silent as a ghost, she moves to flank whichever of the enemy Ryland attacks.
Fiery "Sword", level 2 weave slot
Analin Mendiana
The group hanging out in the room came 4 miles through the woods?
Seeing the others on the field, Analin closes her eyes for a moment, looking exasperated. "If they are here, who is holding the portal?" Her expression quickly returns to its usual aloof mask as she turns to the south. "Don't get bogged down by these ones on the trail! Keep moving west!"
Hoping to assist in that, the Green weaves an explosion of flame on the road in between the two groups of trollocs.
What's the map scale? If it's 5 feet squares she can get most of the trollocs behind Chen and a couple of the ones by Keelix with a level 6 50' radius Fireball. Level 5 weave due to affinities.
Fireball damage, DC 20 Reflex half: 6d6 + 11 ⇒ (2, 6, 6, 3, 1, 1) + 11 = 30 Thanks, dicebot. :P Still, should be enough to take out trollocs.
RIZZENMAGNUS
analin, yes, you all came 4 miles. its 4 miles from the doors to the woods.
analin: the map scale is the true 5 foot squares.
round 3
Keelix howls a bestial roar, all sound and no content, and does a vicious overhand chop, bringing all his strength into the viloent attack upon the trolloc. the trolloc can only look upon its doom and not react, for the fearful wolfbrother is to fast for the mere trolloc.
Amorial continues to inspire his comrades in battle, providing a lofty message that will see them through this battle against the Shadow.
Ryvin, seeing the danger has turned close to home, unleashes another violent thunderclap upon the narrow trail.
ref save DC 17: 1d20 ⇒ 18
WHile the thunder and shockwave is powerful, the trollocs all retain their feet.
Chen, not resting on his laurels, forgoes using form and goes for efficiency, snapping his large blade around like a leaf in the breeze, whatever it contacts it cuts down like a cleaver on a hunk of meat. He strikes, and three trollocs fall.
Alathea, breathless from running, makes a snap decision and erects a barrier against shadowspawn. No sooner does she create it and in the process of tying it off, she feels it strain under a heavy weight, as if something slammed into it. Looking towards the source, she spots a large black mass through the branches and leaves. It takes the flash of a wolf muzzle to inform her that another trolloc force was coming up from the south and seeking to overtake her and her companions.
analin perception: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
Analin, emotion showing on her early-stage ageless face, gives a command to everyone to head back to the portal, as she spots the trollocs through the trees and branches of the forest.
Turning again upon the trail, she weaves fire and air an hurls it between the two groups of trollocs.
analin, since there was a question about the scale, i will inform you that if you went with the max fireball with 50foot radius, you would have engulfed everyone from yourself to Amorial. so i will say, for this one time, that you hurl a level 3 20foot radius and not a 35 foot, because that would catch Keelix in the blast. But if you hadnt asked the question about scale, i would have went ahead and let you roast your fellow PCs :)
ref dc 20 vs fireball: 1d20 ⇒ 11
trollocs fall to the ground, burning as the fireball consumes their life.
A lone trolloc, maddened with pain, attacks keelix.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 but fails to connect.
6 trollocs move around Chen, surrounding him.

Dropping into Flame & Void. Longsword attack: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 4 = 24 for 2d12 + 4 ⇒ (9, 9) + 4 = 22 damage.
Ryvin charges up the path, longsword of dark fire coming up in a howling arc. As she comes to a halt next to Keelix, the Ebou Dari sweeps her blade through the Trolloc standing to her Warder's left.
"START RUNNING!" she shouts at the rest of the party. "MAKE A HOLE AND USE IT!"

Confident that Alathea's ward would deter the trollocs to her right at least for a while, Fiallain moves forward, her fiery spear attacking the trolloc on Chen's flank nearest her.
Ugh. Must be rusty with the spear. :P

Kodokura
Kodokura hurls a fiery ball at the mass of trollocs on the party's right (the ones above us on the map).
Now, at level 6 this has a blast radius of 50', so I'm assuming I'll be able to include all of that group in the blast radius without hitting any friendlies, yeah? That's what I'm doing, placing it so I hit all... 27 of them. Also, do I need a concentration check to avoid an AoO? If so, could you please remind me of the numbers required, somebody, anybody? Not sure now that the system has changed (and also, I still haven't rebuilt Kodokura...).
Fireball damage: 6d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 3, 3, 1) + 10 = 29
This bit assumes there is now an open path to flee by? If not, please advise and I'll alter/retcon it...) Kodo then grabs Alathea's arm. "Time to go - after Ryvin!" If Alathea is an agreement, Kodo will take off after Ryvin.
Alathea Neribar
Alathea staggers under the weight of the trollocs pressing against her ward, but manages to hold herself steady. She prepares to weave again--this time, to attack, but Kodokura's action interrupts her. Nodding in agreement, she follows him away from the safety of her ward.
Amorial Suth
Round 4
Amorial stops singing and rouses his friends among the Forest to slow down the charge of the Trollocs from the South.
Entangle on the ones closest to Alathea's ward.
My inspire still lasts another 9 Rounds.
Analin Mendiana
"Don't stop! Keep moving!" Analin turns to their left and launches another ball of flame at the mass of trollocs approaching from that direction.
Another Fireball, this one at the group to the south. So one group should eat Kodo's fireball and one should get Analin's. She'll do a full level 6 weave to catch every trolloc she can on the south side of the map, excluding those inside the ward. Counts as a level 5 weave due to her affinities.
Fireball damage, DC 20 Reflex save for half: 6d10 ⇒ (4, 6, 1, 7, 4, 6) = 28

fia jumps forward to help chen with his attackers. she gets into form, and thrusts, only to have the blade of the spear be deflected off of the hard armor.
Ryland, following Fia closely, leaps in and attacks the same trolloc, felling it as he rushes past. Retreat or we will be overridden!he shouts over the melee
chen, still in deathwatch mode, continues hack apart the weaker foes. his blade, a cleaver to trolloc flesh, hacks off limbs and torsos with ease. His latest attack cuts off both of a trollocs arms at the elbows, blood fountaining onto chens chest. The puddle of blood is quickly churned inot a muddy paste from the feet of chen as he attacks.
on the other side, keelix and ryvin slash at the two trollocs that tower above them. their combined might enables them to bring down the latest foe.
Rhoekk takes aim and fires his bow at the trolloc...and misses!
90-99% it strikes chen: 1d100 ⇒ 68
recovering from his first shot, rhoekk adjusts aim and pierces the back of the trolloc, dropping it without a sound from it. he scans the forest, searching, yet cannot find the target that he knows are out there.
analin and kodokura both channeler their weaves into identical effects. Massive fireballs explode in the forest, destroying trees and trolloc alike. Yet, kodokura's aim is off, and instead of exploding beyond the trollocs, it explodes in the middle of them, and the flames come hurling out, engulfing those that he wanted to protect.

As the explosions die off, you pick up on the sound of more feet coming from down the trail towards the fort. Many, many feet.
end round 3, begin round 4
RIZZENMAGNUS
Andrenaline and the ter'angreal attached to your ear lends itself to your incredible speed, allowing you to run through the large column of trollocs as they run towards where all the fighting is occuring.
One explosion gave you the general idea of where these people are, but two more in rapid succession has pinpointed their location for you. In the woods, not too distant, perhaps another 200 feet.
you cannot see them because of the tree cover, but they are there. The common tongue is being shouted! THe urge to hurry drives you on...
but your eye catches something. an oddity...
for as fast as you are, and for all the other trollocs you past as if they were standing still, you see 11 trollocs all keepign pace with you. their arms pump, their feet a flurry of motion, they are something above and beyond that of the normal trolloc.
They pace you, but do not attack you.
Looking again, you see that one trolloc in particular is different. It stands a whole head again taller than the other trollocs, and instead of a sword in hand, it carries three long spears. It also appears to have covered its face in a veil?
only the savage aiel do that...? the thought lingers in your head as you push on, deftly dodging the trollocs around you.
Ryvin Altessar
"Chen!" Ryvin shouts. "Grab the bloody sul'dam! Somebody hit her with a quick Healing and RUN! We are running out of time!"
Thee Ebou Dari holds position for the moment, waiting for the others to get in gear, and keeps an eye on the forest beyond them.
Dengorin Kaltaneos
If I can take the Run action to get x4 speed, with the ter'angreal giving me haste, I should be able to cover 240 ft and make it to the clearing. If not, I'll double move for 120 ft.
Alathea Neribar
Alathea pulls away from Kodokura's grip and runs to Zira's side, wasting no time even to look for nearby trollocs. Crouching down, she draws deeply on saidar to heal the woman...if there's any woman left to heal in Zira's charred body.
Alathea doesn't waste time delving Zira's wounds, but goes all out on healing instead.
I seem to remember modifying the time required for healing weaves somewhere in one of the game threads, but I can't find it offhand and it's not listed in the House Rules. If healing weaves have the same casting time as in the books, Alathea will use a level 2 weave (cast from a level 0 slot using the sa'angreal) on Zira: she's willing to risk some extra time, but not longer than a minute. If this is the ruling, Zira regains 2d8 + 11 ⇒ (4, 5) + 11 = 20 hit points.
On the other hand, if higher level healing weaves no longer require long casting times, Alathea will use her strongest healing weave--level 8 (cast from a level 3 slot using the sa'angreal and accounting for all affinities met)--on Zira. If this is the ruling, Zira regains 8d8 + 11 ⇒ (1, 2, 6, 8, 7, 5, 2, 4) + 11 = 46 hit points.
Chen Armand
Ref vs 20: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17

Stooping, he scoops up Zira, holding her over his shoulder like a small sack. "Go!" he roars.
Analin Mendiana
Ref: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
Even distracted by her own weaving, Analin is experienced enough at fighting alongside other channelers that she knew to be wary for misplaced weaves. She manages to throw herself down at the last moment, escaping the worst of the heat and flames from Kodo's fireball. As soon as it was clear that the trollocs were largely gone, she stood up and ran for the portal. "Run now, heal later!"
RIZZENMAGNUS
amorial, there are no more trollocs from the north. those coming down the trail you cannot see.
alathea, i think it was up to 3rd level healing, not channeling, but the 3rd level weave itself, could be done within one combat round. anything above that took time.
i thought i had posted this somewhere before but i cannot seem to find it. The woods are thick, limiting sight to no more than 50 feet in the best of situations, and 35 feet in the worst. so you will need to make perception checks dc=20 to see the 50 feet.
Dengorin Kaltaneos
Running as hard as he can, Dengorion bursts from the treeline onto the path. This do be the strangest group I have seen. Do those Ogier be wielding swords?
Unable to do more than quickly look at them, panting slightly, he shouts, "Trollocs do be right behind me! Whether you do run or fight, you cannot rest!"
Amorial Suth
Round 4 Retcon as I cannot see the Trollocs!
Amorial continues to speak to inspire his allies.
Round 5
Amorial will continue to inspire his allies but will begin to head back own the path as it appears a full retreat is in order.
He holds his axe ready to do battle as necessary.
Keelix Andren
Keelix stands his ground, blade ready to strike any shadowspawn that comes close, shouting encouragement to his allies, "Come ON! Run like a horde of trollocs is after you!"
Fiallain
Fia gapes for a split second at the sight of the wetlander bursting onto the path where she expected a horde of trollocs instead. "Go." she tells the others and watches the newcomer comes toward them, knowing that she could easily catch up to her slower companions. She readies a weave set to go off should see see trollocs appear before the newcomer reaches her.
