I'm thinking for the sake of efficiency, I'm just going to roll a bunch of attacks for now, so we can just use them in order. Buster will take a kinetic weapon and he will prioritize shooting Ratrod. The only time Buster will act differently is if someone else pulls ahead of us and Ratrod happens to be behind us. In that situation then he'll transfer shooting that one. But otherwise, all his shots will go towards Ratrod.

Attack 1:
Kinetic weapon: 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 3 = 20

Attack 2:
Kinetic weapon: 1d20 + 3 - 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 - 3 = 8

Attack 3:

Note: I do need to know who is on the Energy weapon. So far I know Buster is on a kinetic weapon and Tyrone is thinking about a kinetic weapon, but Brob and D-474 have just said "weapon" without anything more.

Also, because I am not at home until Sunday, I won't be able to tabulate the results until Sunday or Monday, BUT, once I am home it should only take me an hour or two to plug all the numbers into my Excel sheet and get the whole race posted!

Darkrunner - important question for you as pilot. When (if at all), would you want to try using your Overload Engine power? You don't have to use it if you don't want to.

Ideally as the final burst to pull ahead and win. Hopefully by then we’d have disabled opposing racer weapons. I feel like using it too early you’re just asking to get shot at.

I haven’t looked at the spreadsheet yet but I’ll be interested to see which of our decisions made the difference.

Well, a lot of the decisions are made on the front-end, specifically what you're improving. I played this the first time with a 4-player group. One person wanted to focus on doing sabotage (and got caught), another wanted to improve weapons and armor, I was focusing on diplomacy, and another did various improvements. We had a rough time on it.

I think that too many options are given for improving the racer, when speed and maybe weapons are most important. Trying to improve EAC, for example, is a lot less valuable.

I concur with Brob's assessment, to a point. Too many options allow tons of variables, not all of which are ideal. That said, because this scenario is evergreen and endlessly replayable, being able to have every junk race be totally different is somewhat refreshing :)

Here's the first junk race I ran in pbp - PbP Gameay VI Link - just in case you're curious to compare or something :)

As for the armor, it's up to you all how to decide who gets it, so unless anyone else says anything, Kallus will end up with it.

Definitely having alot of fun. This and one other session are my first forays into Starfinder, so I'm still getting into the change of pace from pathfinder.

I think I need to build a rolodex of trick attack RPs :P

Yeah, this is my fourth Commencement and every time we've done things slightly different. I like adding guns because 1)you need a kinetic gun to hurt Ratrod, 2)It gives more players something to do.

I'm partial to boosting the EAC up a little bit because Ratrod has an energy weapon and he pretty much always shoots at the party. In one of my runs we had something like an 800 ft. speed, but we were also getting hit multiple times a round. We almost always had at least a -8 on our runs, so were often only going half speed.

For the new identity...

Death certificate: darkrunner would prefer the approach of associating her record with an unidentified corpse with a computers check (he is a hacker, after all). He has decent bluff, but somebody with better might help there.

New alias: He could help setup the new alias with culture, but my last roll wasn't great. I'd prefer to reroll it. Darkrunner get's no diplomacy bonus, so would defer there. Finally, he could provide the computers check to forge the final documents.
