Rakavet:
Didn't see you with Binary Chatter talent, its ok, just didn't know if its unavailable or you don't think it useful?
Strong minded talent is reroll failed WP test to resist psy powers, not all things, your description in alias is a little vauge.
DragonScale is gonna be 8AP, I think its always BQ to begin with and so that's reflected in books, much like artificer armor which is always BQ, but book list it at 10 (for example) meaning getting it at BQ won't up the AP or cut weight.
From Malatek advance table, you can only purchase one of the talents for him, not all 3. Choose b/w The power within, without, or beyond.
Everything else good, still working on some history for you, but we'll figure it out after I get a look at everyone elses profiles.
BayouSnowman
Gaius:
Yours looks great and straight forward, nothing crazy or questionable. The one thing I'd offer is an elite advance for 200xp which is Infused Knowledge, giving you all schol and common lore at basic and +10 to any you possess. I allowed the Inquisitor to take it and I'll let you have it too as Sage. Just update your xp tree if you'd like it, otherwise, you're good to go. Like the history stuff, as Inquisitor wasn't always a gimp. You've got stuff with others and are good at investigations,so lots of room for your history to intersect with others.
@Jovian
Your profile is incomplete and by saying incomplete, that's an overstatement. Get that finished up and let me know if you're stuck or need any answer on anything, I tried to reply to your PMs as best I could, hopefully I addressed all the concerns you expressed. Just get what you have done so far so we can work on it.
BayouSnowman
Master at Arms Ludicus:
Can't be untouchable and a Psyker. Not gonna happen with your history and going through the Temple.
In regards to your Paragon talents:
You don't have the "Combat Master" talent so you don't have Blade Dancer.
Everything else looks good, let me know what needs to be answered or done, lets finish up our history and get this game going.
BayouSnowman
@Inquisitor:
I see you updated alias with xp tree. I just realised I need to send you the rest of the profile, so I'll get that PM to you shortly that has stats and details etc.
Still need to work out details of her, is she in a coffin like your background says or is she able to meet and greet people...We talking Hawking or Xavier? Or you mean Fallout style?
I threw out ideas in the first PM so still waiting for you to decide, maybe after I get you the final sheet you can decide.
Master At Arms Ludicus Marleno
Ok, changed the force field to common quality, exchanged one sound constitution for combat master (how did I miss that?) And fixed a typo, not supposed to have untouchable in the first place.
Aside from that, I think I'm good to go now.

Sorry not trying to drag my feet, just busy today. The support coffin I think should be completely enclosed. I'm thinking it will look like a black coffin bent into a reclining chair position, if that makes sense, armored and covered in Imperial iconography. The chair should have sensors so I can perceive the world and a vox system so I can speak, but won't have weapons.
Looks like people have good ideas for connections between characters, I'll drop some too a bit later.
Phineus Faeyd
As for your history: Some suggestions above fit. I was thinking you did some clean up whenever others stories were involved, and through your actions you learned more than you should. You were recruited into something, but your more black ops, not knowing much more than that. You've had interaction with the Interrog. and Inquisitor, working closely with them. Now due to your high profile activity and the life you once lead no longer an option, how about personal body guard of the Inquisitor? She is handicapped and not made for direct combat and confrontation, perhaps you'd be her right hand man? Also, your shadow recruitment means you could be together, or about to be, up to GM, and she can let you in on things now that it'll be avoidable, your assistance gives you access and knowledge to too much without her full trust it would be a difficult relationship, but with a common bond of your secret ties, then you two could be in it together and you loyally devoted to her and the cause. Hiding the evidence and cleaning up to keep things secret and control information.
I'm definitely happy to be used by the Inquisitor and Interrogator (and anyone else either directly or by their previous inquisitor/commander). And he certainly doesn't have to know the details of what was going on.
As for her personal bodyguard I think that's a bit too direct for Phineus. I think the idea is in the right direction, he's just more of a lower profile kind of guy than physical bodyguard. But if you were thinking in charge of security in general, he could do that. He can definitely be a right (or left) hand man. I expect that his usual "cover" will be as her clerk. The guy that handles the day to day aspects of the job. The other members of the crew obviously know who he is (as do most members of the Inquisition at this point), but when dealing with non-Inquisition he's just a normal unremarkable member of the crew who handles the paperwork.
As for hiding and cleaning up evidence, that's Phineus' bread and butter.
I think Sister del Vecchio is especially well-suited for the direct physical bodyguard of the Inquisitor. She's as close to a Crusader as we have with good perception skills all around.
As for other connections:
Rakavet: While Phineus primarily has worked for Ordo Hereticus, I'm sure he's had run-ins with Ordo Malleus. Perhaps one of the missions Phineus was involved in went poorly and Ordo Malleus came in to clean things out, including Rakavet as one of the "troops"? They may not have known each other well, but met in passing?
Inquisitor Lillian Naraku
I was personally thinking all PCs would be field agents when they want so they can get in on the action and I would just use an Influence roll to get myself a permanent Arbitrator or someone as a body guard.
They wouldn't be the greatest bodyguard ever, but it would be someone with a gun if/when our enemies come for me.
Gaius Haxtes
Just off the cuff thinking here, but does anyome remember/ have seen on repeats the old cop show Ironside? In that the ex cop,now PI is in a wheelchair and his people do the legwork for him. (See the parralels yet!!) He has a 'carer' who pushes his wheelchair around who is an ex con and uses his 'street' contacts etc for info. Without ripping this off directly would this work for Phineus?
Yes most of the time Lillian may stay on ship or at our 'base' but should we have to meet government or nobles or what have you, we have the entourage of Inquisitor, personal assistant (Ludicus), advisor (gaius), bodyguard (sister del Vecchio), carer/valet (Phineus) and finally tech support (difficult to blag, unless anyone has any other ideas) (Rakavet). Did i miss anyone?
@Sister Del Vecchio. Sorry i never commented, but yes i suppose Gaius could have been the adept in more of a master of operatives way rather than direct command (really only the go between, but might have appeared as the leader) kind of taking a kindly mentor role would work.
Sister Federica Del Vecchio
Hah. Cop shows. I always wanted to play in one, and an Arbitrator was my original choice for the campaign, just got sidetracked by something and it evolved in Sister Federica.
I wonder if the Inquisitor's seen the Rite of Setesh:
Utilised by the rich and powerful whose fear of death is sufficient to overcome their love of humanity, these augmetic rigs (known in Mechanicus lore as the Rite of Setesh) involve the living mummification of a dying body and its emplacement in an all-encompassing exoskeleton designed to keep an advanced aged or disease-ravaged body alive long past natural limits, trapping the body in what amounts to little more than a semi-mobile iron coffin devoid of human contact. The use of these augmetics is largely frowned upon even by the Mechanicus as skirting the edge of technoheresy in form and function. In the Calixis Sector, only the isolated and independent Magos Biologis of the Hippocrasian Agglomeration are willing to fashion these implant systems, and only then for a price that would beggar a king.
Common: This rite grants a character the Machine (4) trait (except this Trait does not affect his or her mind) and the Regeneration trait. Wounds and mental characteristics are unchanged.
Drawbacks: The character reduces Weapon Skill, Ballistic Skill and Agility to half (round down). Life in one of these devices is nightmarish and painful. The character gains 2d10 Insanity Points. Also, the rotted biology contained within adds +5 to any Critical Effect inflicted against the character.
It's basically a non-combat Dreadnought for normal humans.

I knew that Artificer Armour was like that, but I didn't realize Dragonscale was too. It's the stuff they give to Enginseers, after all. Ah well, I'll just have to make do with AP 12 everywhere.
I didn't spot that The Power traits were only one. I've removed The Power Within, and replaced it with Binary Chatter and Pilot (Military Craft).
Re-worded Strong Minded for clarity.
Updated profile is in my alias.
Looking forward to the History stuff.

Game on. People should be finished with profiles and pretty much set, anything last minute or still undecided PM if you need help or a decision made. Our Inquisitor will have a little more time and as things unfold more of the history will be flushed out for everyone.
Once we get people introduced, met up, and greeted, then we'll brief and begin. Some things might be left vague for now as we work on details, like the ship or certain locations/equipment.
Any questions or rolls you wanna make, feel free to do them without asking. If they pertain or render something I'll give it, if you can't make the roll or it doesn't apply, then no harm no foul.
Before we begin the mission and history gets finalized, I'll take another look and consider how many FP to award everyone, between 1-3.
You can spend them and I'll let you know when they return. Might do afterr benchmarks, give some/all back. We'll see how it goes.
The Inquisitor does have an Acolyte Network so they can provide some things you might need, don't forget about them.
Anything I'm leaving out, just ask. It's late and this browser doesn't have spellcheck, so forgive my mistakes here and in the gameplay thread.

I'll try to update soon, just giving people a chance to post as some lore rolls take a while and I don't want to jump forward in time without everyone else having something to do in that time. Make sense?
Also, may not respond to each lore, but instead give you the summary and important details you uncover in general.
Good thinking with rolls, please don't wait for me to give you the rolls, which sometimes I will, but at this level I'd rather base things more on your DOS than giving too easy or difficult rolls, hard to balance party of this size and level. Once I get more experience with your PCs it'll be more efficient and individualized.
I'm assuming people here know of Cadia and the pylons, either OOC or IC. If not then don't be afraid to ask to be sure what your pc knows. Maybe you all know of the pylons but maybe not that necrons built them.. For example.
Also I've been trying to nail down a year for us to be operating in, obviously it's before the 13th black crusade, but how soon I've yet to decide, if that's important for you let me know, otherwise give me some time to finish working my story out so I can make sure it coincides with official time line and.
BayouSnowman
Just a few other thoughts, 9n my phone so forgive the shortness.
Please post what equipment you'll take on a "mission/task/dinner meeting" in discussion as well as IC if it's obvious or you want it to impact your presence in the environment. Now, what were doing it isn't necessary, but in the field your limited and advantaged/disadvantaged by what you carry and how you dress/present yourself. I realize this all may be an unnecessary reminder, but I just wanted you to hear from me how I would like to run this game. I'm very detail oriented and I constantly factor a lot in. It'll be rough as we all try to recall things from our past and what we have from where because we didn't work ourselves up to this point but I know we'll get the hang of it soon.
TTry to space your actions/rolls in posts. Things take time and if you post too much you might miss your friends leave or hold them up. Also it's easier for me to reply to sets of actions in small time chunks. The exception is below:
Sometimes, because of the scale we're working on, time could advance quickly and jump days, weeks, or longer depending on what we're doing. Just try to keep in mind that when we do things on a larger scale time could advance differently. Then sometimes we'll have missions we play out in more detail. That's just how I potentially envision some endeavors in this game working.

I'm thinking I would like an NPC bodyguard for my person as previously mentioned in the recruitment thread that isn't a PC so noone is stuck with me all the time but I have a gunman at my disposal if I'm alone and things get nasty.
I was thinking of grabbing an Arbitrator(DH corebook page 336) with an influence roll on a permanent basis, not the best warrior ever, but a decent bodyguard.
Would this be allowed?

No need for a roll, that's fine, personal bodyguard for your state is a given, plus a some security when/if you desire. Probably a tech priest as well, you're cadre hasn't always been around so you've got the perks of decades working in the Inquisition.
@EVERYONE:
Also, still working on a starship, for now let's say you got vehicles at your disposal and a shuttle. I don't plan on factoring those so heavily into the story so we can be vague until we make up our minds on a few things. Sound good? I might not have thought of everything to offer, I'm open to suggestions if you want something particular.

Oh, don't worry. There's no rush on any of that. He's mostly just thinking out loud and using the other experts in the room as a sounding board for what are good ideas and what won't work. So he's not quite at the point where answers need to be coming in. :)

Exactly, sorry for delay, Brother moving to India in 2 days so I've been chilling with him in my free time.
BayouSnowman
I've thought of all I want to give in the rolls, just haven't had time to type. I'm Bbq'n today, Brother flies out tomorrow morning, probably won't see him for a few years, so my time is limited, just walking dog seems to be my posting time. So I'm still here, just give me another day RL stuff and I'll be back to you all. Thanks for understanding.

Got a post up, gonna get home and afterwards I'll probably post again with some background or feedback on your ideas..might be in OOC or IC, not decided yet.
Let me know how you feel about the info given, if you think you should get more or have something specific in mind that I missed, then please let me know.
You guys got some good ideas you could act on, up to you how and when do do them, you can discuss yourselves and if need be I'll add something or correct you if you're wrong or fill in the blanks when I can.
Options:
Investigate Pylons
Investigate Thefts of Tech
Set up a sting operation wit your own tech OR
Have Rakavet build something special that could be traced...
ON Rakavet's note...It would take a while and great skill to construct something of Archeotech quality and design...Design and materials are rare and/or you'd have to make it up (Heresy?) so unless you make a fake something, may hold up to some scrutiny, maybe not...
You guys can have some leeway to make up and narrate some things, feel free to read all you can on Cadia in the Wiki, as well as the Pylons, most of that should be known to you or would be given to you by the Inquisitor. That should be the base set of info we all are working from.
Of course I'll be adding and making things up that aren't there that you'll need to discover and find out. The wiki is just stuff from books and they are vague and light, just enough to get me started and the freedom not to contradict myself. (Still possible, but unlikely)
Anyways, I think you're ready to move, once Gaius shares and/or other's take off to investigate, then I'll have more to update on specifically. You've got a skimmer and the pylons half a day's drive.
Master At Arms Ludicus Marleno
You probably had the luck of previewing and posting just between the page updating.
I don't know how often it happens, but sometimes the page itself resets, and then new rolls are generated.
BayouSnowman
Yuugassa let me know in another thread that he's gonna be out til the 25th, so I'd rather just say that she has remained behind, I didn't think she was coming, but then she started making awareness rolls..so I'm gonna say she stayed behind, so I don't have to micromanage her too much. If need be, I can speak on her behalf, as I'd anticipated this possibility, but since we created her together, it won't be hard for me and I'll make sure its only when necessary.
When she returns if we'er still away, then she can physically join us or with her Psy abilities, she can actually be there invisibly or through a body proxy she's take over. So she won't be left out or far away permanently.
So, sound good? She's not aboard the skimmer, but in contact if you need her. Feel free to send message/update, and I can reply if need be. Otherwise, the decisions are in your hands, one of you might step up to lead or you can all be more egalitarian, up to you.
BayouSnowman
@Phineus Faeyd
Yea, I didn't list the test difficulty, so I know and understand why you did what you did. It's all good, sometimes I will list it, sometimes not, just list your DOS based on what you know.
For example, I was looking for 3 DOS on the test and b/c the size and level I didn't put the test at +/-__. Sometimes I will, sometimes I won't, just depends.
Anyways, I think we're good now, so I'll wait for people to post and update.
BayouSnowman
Sorry for the delay fellas, my home pc video card is fried and its too much to do on my phone. Gonna have to do it at work, I'm off Mon/Tues, will buying a new pc at the end of the month, so please bare with my pace for a week or two. Wed. now so back in the office and will try to catch up before I leave.
BayouSnowman
Sorry for all the OOC text that might bother some and others may not mind, but it's hard for me to avoid giving hints/advice/corrections this early in the game. As things smooth out and less becomes necessary to clarify, it'll be more IC and little to no OOC.
Still lots more to be done or looked at there, up to you all how you can proceed, if you look hard enough you'll find things to help you out. Trying to balance some difficulty here, but in a new game of scope like this I might make it too hard or easy, so any constructive feedback would be appreciated.
