If the party decides to stay, then Jerrid makes tea for the morning, puts it in his waterskin and volunteers for the middle watch. He finds a good spot within about sixty feet to wait then returns to wake Janna or Kevezyat.

This post was from just before the ettercap fight. DMG, I believe that the weed lasts 24+1d12 hours and we drank the last batch just this am. Everyone should be protected until at least 9 am tomorrow, I reckon, unless Jerrid made a dodgy batch?

Realising his arbalest will be a poor tactical choice against the strige wing, the veteran shoulders his ranged weapon and draws his rapier

Astor stops running, leans over putting his hands on his knees, and sucks in some air. He feels the remaining strength return to him. "Where in the hell is this guy? Looks like we lost him..." Astor looks around for his comrades, making sure that no one is missing. He stays put for now, watching and waiting for anything else that might threaten them at the same time keeping an eye on that freaky cloud of stirges.

Shouldn't this have been mentioned before? Jerrid has been allowed to make another batch already so I assume we will stick to that. Or we can go back to the point where the tea he made no longer exists? Frankly I'm getting a bit fed up with this level of micro management. Do we really have to adventure making tea every day. Not very Conan. Forget it. Do whatever you want, I am out of this game. Good luck folks.

Damien pops back into view as his spell runs it's course. The veteran's head snaps around as Lannet mentions the thimbleweed. Eying the gathered stirges, Damien shoots a look at Astor, "Right, get your ass into the brush. We might have to haul ass in a minute!"

Following his own advice, Damien drops back into the nearby bushes, readying his hammer against a possible stirge attack.

Move Action : Drop back to the bushes
Swift Action : Arcane Strike
Standard Action : Ready attack on the first stirge within reach

I think you still have actions left this round, right Astor? Just move down a couple squares to come hide in the bushes.

What?- say leoven after Damien warns them against the stirges. The young cleric is not on the brave side today so he moves back to be behind janna, perhaps her magic could protect him in case the stirge attack indded happen.


Lannet raises his crossbow.

"Does anyone remember which stirges didn't eat yet?"


Lannet's question is soon enough answered when ten stirges from the row which did not receive fresh boar take flight and slowly amble towards him through the air.

He looses a shot from his hand crossbow.

Sneak Attack: 2d6 ⇒ (1, 5) = 6

The stirge splats, but nine remaining ones flock too him, streaming right past Samduc paying him no mind.

As Lannet gets swamped by the sucker-beasts Vhillish gives a quick flex of his rapier and moves toward the larcenist;

"Whot Ho! They'll be no sucking that one dry by jingo! Not on my watch..."

The veteran attempts to skewer a stirge:

The deputy shishkabobs a stirge, and Sam slices and dices another.

Sam I don't believe sneak attack applies to your AoO. As for the rest of your attack routine, you can ready an attack for after your flanking buddy draws a melee weapon, but in that case you will not be able to full attack when the trigger occurs, just one attack with sneak attack. Or, you can take both attacks now, with no sneak attack.

Cursing as he sees the stirges aren't at all interested in him of Astor, Damien charges the hindmost of them, bringing his hammer around with brutal precision.

when the stirges all approch, Janna takes a step back trying to get as many as possible in front of her. then unleashes a fan of electricity.
