If it gets round to Jerrid he will do the same as last go. Its 11pm and I have a busy day tomorrow. Someone kill it!

How in the name of all the gods did it survive another 15 damage in the first place! I thought you implied another 10 would kill it :P
Damien steps back into the whole provided by Vhillish and brings his hammer to bear on the creatures thorax.
"Circle around, pin the bloody thing down! Keep clear of those fangs! Damned thing has to go down soon, it's leaking like a sieve."

Wow, windy escape is awesome!
Damien continues to move in order to gain more space and tries to bring down the monstrosity.

"Enough of this. Let us finish the vermin off!" Kevezyat cries as she brings the greatsword around in a killing arc.

Flicking her sword through the air, spider ichor flying into the bushes , Kevezyat nods at Leoven's words "Indeed, 'twas a formidable adversary. Keep faith Leoven; Tyr and Freya will see us through many more such trials. "
Damien "Wet" Winters
Damien surveys the corpse with a disgusted expression, he spits, "Formidable? Damn sure ugly at the very least. We'll have to move camp, it's leaking everywhere. Gods that smells..."
The half-elf sets about trying to clean the ichor off his hammer with some dirt and leaves. Once mostly satisfied, he picks up his crossbow and searches in the trees for his dagger.
Returning he looks at Leovan, "You alright? Bite didn't do too much damage did it?"
With everything in hand he helps the others dispose of the corpse and the relocation of camp to a nearby area.
Once done he finally takes up the rest of his watch with Zevezyat.

TO damien: it does hurt a lot, but thanks to Jenna I had the time to recover from the wounds
Janna - The Storm Maiden
Janna is uninjured as the spider's attempt to crush her met with failure as she turned into air for the brief moment denying the spider the pleasure of a hit.
Once the fight is over she goes to take a look at the spider. then she scans the surrounding tree line and the sky for any signs of more unwelcome visitors.
it has been several days since there has been any sign of pursuers. perhaps they might want to know more of this quest, but they have been rather silent on the matter, perhaps they are uninterested, or perhaps they have in fact honored my wishes to not discuss it yet. Still there has been no sign of him, or that blasted bird. maybe in the morning.

Vhillish Quarrelwick
Vhillish lowers his arbalest then approaches his former (and still - in his mind) commanding officer.
"Might be worth having a quick sortie up there in its nest sir! (jabs his thumb skyward)... Might be its taken others afore..."
The serjeant mutters some words in his kin's tongue and four glowing orbs appear (Dancing Lights) to illuminate the pathway for any climbers.
Jerrid Kinslarn
Jerrid looks at the huge body, well huge to him, and whispers one word, "poison." Then he walks over to the tree and listens to Vhillish.
"I'm no climber, Sam? You hobbits climb?"
As a novice with no skill in climbing does it look difficult or not to reach the web nest, Climb 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2. And can Jerrid see any other spiders or swarms up there? Percption check 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
Jerrid Kinslarn
The deep gnome then removes the bag of gnoll herbs from his pack and offers them to the healer Leoven. He hands them over in bunches checking to see if he can recognise anything useful against spider venom.
Craft(alchemy) 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damien "Wet" Winters
Damien follows the sergeant's lights up the tree, scanning for signs of a nest, "That's assuming it made it's nest here? Could have easily been out hunting...a little of the wolf in it showing through?"
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18
Kevezyat Faen
Looking up, Kevezyat says "Indeed, there may be something of use up there. This creature was obviously a successful hunter for some time, before it encountered us. I'd not be surprised if some unwary travellers found their final resting place up in that tree."
She walks over and retrieves her crossbow, holding it ready in case another of the spiders makes an appearance.
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
Damien "Wet" Winters
Well hot damn. That certainly helps!
Damien shrugs, seeing nothing of interest atop the tree, "Guess not. Now lets get our equipment moved and head back to sleep. More than enough excitement for one evening."
Jerrid Kinslarn
"Try this on that wound. Its got some ubasook root in it and that should get the spider venom out. Leave it overnight and bandage up. Hey, you know all about this don't you. I just listened to my master and he was the expert. Anyone else got bitten?"
Thanks DMG! Herbal Poultice for Leoven 1d4 ⇒ 3
Kevezyat Faen
"Olamin would be proud, Jerrid, if he could see you now." Kevezyat says with a smile.
She then checks her weapons, and with a nod to Damien , resumes her watch, keeping to the same patrol pattern.
DM Grimmy
Keep the RP as-is but don't subtract a lesser restoration from your herbs. Leoven made his poison save with an assist from Janna's heal check.
You find a new campsite, free of the tell-tale patches of webbing and greasy fur. In the morning you all see that Janna is up first, waiting to talk about something.
Use this opportunity to ask Janna all your questions about her purpose for recruiting all of you.
Vhillish Quarrelwick
Vhillish is up with the early birds of the group, once again prepping his weapons and equipment and applying his Spit and Polish innate magicks to ensure his uniform is pristine and immaculately pressed.
Once ready he partakes of any breakfast before forming up expectantly with a salute;
"Morning Ma'am. Constitutionals completed and ready to move out, once all and sundry have been fed and watered!"
Jerrid Kinslarn
Jerrid starts at the name of his old friend and he mumbles something quietly. Then he frowns as Leoven stops the poultice being applied with a shake of his head.
Eventually when the morning comes, the tired gnome awakes to find Vhillish up early already. He shares some tea and chews on the hard bread he has left for the morning. Seeing Janna there he gets up and stretches so that he can practise with his rapier.
The blade is not so needle point since the fight, with streaks of gore and fur so instead the gnome sets about to clean and point the weapon. He uses his finger knife to get the worst off first.
Damien "Wet" Winters
Damien rises early this morning as well. He joins Vhillish in his morning prep of equipment. The gnome making quicker work of it with his magic while the half-elf cleans his hammer the old fashioned way, oiling it with care. Satisfied he sets the long weapon across his knees while he joins the others in tea and more of the venison from the doe Vhillish has brought down the night before.
He looks on as Jerrid sets to cleaning his own weapon, "Shouldn't leave the damn thing crusted over with the abyss knows what overnight like that. Best way to ruin decent steel."
Jerrid Kinslarn
"No? Why Damien? Does it seep into the metal, like pores in the skin? Or is there are acid or alkali content imbalance that leads to a rusting, I mean like an oxidation?" Jerrid asks with interest.
Astor Evisthan
As the beast finally falls Astor feels satisfied that he got to take at least one good swing at it. He follows the group to the campsite, pitches his tent, and before he knows it he's fast asleep, a smile on his face.
He wakes in the morning, the smell of tea and the sun shining on his face. Astor is finally feeling like he's getting the hang of this adventuring thing. Realizing he hasn't said much to his companion since the road was hard, he takes a cup of tea and goes to sit next to Jerrid. He stays silent for a minute, watching him clean his blade. "So, who would have thought it would be this... this crazy?" He sips from the tea, not really sure what to say next.
Damien "Wet" Winters
Damien raises an eyebrow, "Both actually, the moisture in the muck will rust the metal into a right heap and the salt...and other mess eats into the metal, causing it to pit. Even a bit of corrosion like that and a thin blade like this is like to snap at the worst moment. Say when a slavering freakshow jumps on you from a tree..."
He reaches out a hand towards the weapon, "Here.", with an exaggerated wave of his hand the remaining gore slides from the rapier leaving is shining, (Prestidigitation) "'Corse it's never as good this way, I prefer to mundane method for my own gear.", he pats the shaft of the hammer on his lap.
Jerrid Kinslarn
Jerrid makes an O with his mouth as Damien finishes the lesson. He stares down at his blade then up at the bard, then down again.
Astor breaks the moment and he looks at the man, his red eyes glittering, and smiles raising the blade, "Crazy! Yes. Look at that."
When Kevezyat settles, he asks the obvious question, "how do you know Olamin and me?"
Janna - The Storm Maiden
Janna sits quietly by the the remains of the fire, having some tea (or coffee, or whatever there was prepared).
she scans the tree line once again

feeling pretty safe, I'm sorry all about the troubles on the road, I wasn't really expecting so much....excitement
she takes a sip of her drink, picking at some scant serving of food. she apparently seems to have gone without in the past and is accustom to eating sparingly.
I am sure some of you may be wondering a few things about this trek. I have been, shall we say, apprehensive, about sharing too much. at least after what happened a couple of nights before I posted the notice. However, it has been several days on the road, and I am sure that my associate was successful in his part of this journey. I have not seen any sign of being followed.
Janna pauses to see if any have any interest in anything she has to offer

Having woke with the dawn, opening her eyes to the brightening sun, Kevezyat stood in its bright light, attempting to banish the darkness of her past and heritage.
After a moment of silent meditation and prayer, she returns to the campfire and settles herself on a log beside Jerrid.
Turning at his question ,she smiles "You were so busy with your master in the infirmary you never noticed the newly arrived Paladin. Though do not think that I missed your devotion to Olamin and the sacred duty you two performed at the temple. " She smiles again "You and I are kin of a kind, both of the dark peoples under the earth; trying to find our destiny out among the sun and stars. I look forward to discovering our destiny together, Jerrid."
As Janna speaks, Kevezyat listens attentively, then murmurs "Do continue ,Janna, we would hear your tale"
Janna - The Storm Maiden
Janna waits a moment, not wanting to interrupt seemingly important discussions concerning proper care of your gear and weapons, or proper military bearing, or whatever topic they are discussing.
soon though those that do have an interest make it known.
DM Grimmy as turned over the game to me for a short time with extremely limited power, well actually just this scene, but hey I'll take what I can get.
she takes a sip of her tea. and sets the cup down. she takes a glance to the sky and the trees. confident that the blasted bird is nowhere to be seen she continues.
This whole little venture actually started quite some time ago, when I was in my final weeks at the academy magicka in Reme, some of you may have heard of the school. But the school isn't the real reason. Its during that final year all students are to work with a senior professor, to find you final niche in the world so to speak.
It was during this time we made several trips to the traveled to the library of Feriblan, I really loathed those trip, not so much the constant studying or even the history lessons, It was another wizard, Vortigern, Feriblan’s apprentice, and his loathsome raven familiar—Talon.
Janna reaches into her sachel as she continues and carefully pulls out a small object wrapped in a piece of leather.
On one of these visits I finally managed to avoid Vortigern, but in doing so I found this. tucked inside some hidden compartment in the library.
Janna open the package to reveal an amulet.
this amulet supposedly will get us access to a tower once owned by another wizard, went by the name Eralion. Eralion was once a student at the academy, long before I arrived, but he was expelled because of his "experiments". anyway he sought immortality, by wanting to become an undead creature called a lich.
Janna picks up her tea cup and finishes it, then scans the area once more for signs of prying ears.
maybe I said too much, I don't want to scare you away or anything. But there is more to the story. but suffice to say, I believe Vortigern also knows of our quest and seeks to prevent us from gaining access to the keep, at lest based on what happened a few days before I assembled you guys. Anyway, that is why I have been a bit, forceful on the idea to keep moving. And for that I am sorry.
Janna gets some food allowing what she has said to sink in. but it seems evident that she does have more information.
