Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

"Thanks Skeets." He says as he turns to his side. He gently runs his paw over Jericho's white underbelly. Maybe tomorrow will be better . . . . and with that he drifts off.

Male Human Gestalt: Binder 16, Wizard (Enchanter) 6

Having slept for only a few restless hours.... Treisdan awakens in a cold sweat, "why? Why do these images plague me?"

Treisdan flings his sihedron ring across the room with a faint ringing as it strikes the stone...

He glares at the three circles embedded in his floor, and goes over to them muttering to himself

1d20 + 16 ⇒ (18) + 16 = 34
His inscription and binding of the first vestige goes off without a hitch, even though his current taciturn nature

1d20 + 16 ⇒ (10) + 16 = 26
The second vestige gains the better of Treisdan, and Treisdan's left hand grows and hardens into a large green scaled claw.

1d20 + 16 ⇒ (1) + 16 = 17
Treisdan's voice becomes hollow and guttural, the third vestige winning the pact.

Treisdan sighs, even though his actions are now partially dictated he felt that he had enough power to meet the cause of the nightmarish images that plague his mind

"Hai." Midori replies, sounding just a tiny bit unenthused... though perhaps it's just fatigue. They had done alot of running around after class.

Sense Motive DC25:

[i]Something about Lang and Ignace's trip to the Sun is bothering her. Perhaps just feeling left out though.

After Vare had sufficiently explained that Mikayla was not dangerous, that it was something to be celebrated and encouraged - there was even an offer to allow the young girl to attend Avalon occasionally for tutelage, Vare leaves Kuros. He was out of teleportation spells, which was a little annoying, but he walks the few miles back out of town in the dim light, casting a cantrip on his ring and using it like a torch, lighting his way back to the school. Once he's there... he looks at the door, grimaces, and walks back out into the forest, searching for the place where everything had gone wrong. He sits out there, waiting again to see if Miss Anahita would return... he would likely wait all night.

Male Gnome

Repp was slowly growing bored as there was less and less people in the hallways to meet and speak with. He had learned alot about the school though, in the afternoon and evening since he had arrived. He was going to like it here, of that he had no doubt. Perhaps it was time for bed though, and to read through the student handbook. There was apparently no classes for a couple days. Plenty of free time to meet more people.

Male Elf Bard 14/Sorcerer (Maestro) 14

Ehos pulls the blanket up around them. He was going to be sore tomorrow. It was definitely worth it though. He looks at Jaiye's sleeping face... she was so peaceful at that moment. He wraps her up in a hug, and slowly drifts off to sleep, content that everything was right with the world.

Female Elf Gestalt Sorcerer (Starsoul) 16/Oracle (Heavens) 16

Several hours after the pair had first entered the room, Tyrrin murmurs "You are incredible." while drifting off to sleep - having completely forgotten to use her Seer focus before drifting off, so satisfied was she.

Irresponsible? Yes. Overly trusting? Yes. Succumbing to her base urges? Yes. Worth every moment? Utterly.

Need to know if Ghalen is falling asleep with her/etc. Will matter somewhat, depending.

Male Human Gestalt Inquisitor/Dragon Knight 16

Ghalen kisses her on the forehead as she drifts off, and watches her sleep for a while before falling asleep himself, content for the first time in a very long time.

Yep he stays there.

Ace walks over to the High Seer, "Evening mi Lady. I am on my way back from a date with my girlfriend and was wondering if I could somehow be of assistance."

He then notes the gentleman standing next to her, and for the third time today, he experiences an odd tugging sensation, which causes him to sway a bit unsteadily on his feet. "Ugh, not, ooh, again"

"You sound tired, Midori," she said sympathetically. "Actually I'm getting tired too. And tomorrow will start very early. I'm nervous about this trip. At least my mom and dad will both be there," she said, not noticing that the air around her tends to heat up when she feels nervous. It's not uncomfortable yet, but the room is decidedly warm, like a hot summer day.

Rena's head perks up as Tryko'Sam returns, carrying the steaming mugs. She sniffs curiously at the proffered drink, though her lips don't exactly lend to easy sips. Instead she flicks out her tongue - which is surprisingly not forked despite her serpentine nature - and her eyes light up.

"Ohhh... that is wonderful!" she says, apparently as giddy as schoolgirl.

A few more hungry flicks of the tongue and she seems to be unsatisfied with the delivery mechanism... but can't think of a way to improve it. "Hmm. How can we make this more... do you have any ideas?" of course, she completely forgot any preamble in her excitement, and if Tryko'Sam isn't able to understand what she's getting at, that would be completely understandable.

"We'll, if you want to drink it faster, we could pour it, or find a large bowl? Here, tilt your head back, like this..."

He demonstrates the intent with his own, tilting his head back and pouring some into his open mouth.

"Maybe the other dragon guys can help- or yer wizard buddy, teach you to change shape or something? Doesn't magic fix everything? Otherwise, I think I just came up with a great idea to invent here."

He'll offer some for her to catch the pouring from her mug.

Tryko'Sam clearly appears happy for the interaction.

Fei finally rises, proverbially, from the ashes around him as an idea comes to his mind. It would have to wait until morning and require assistance from Adsila, but would be a proper obeisance for his return from death's embrace.

The young monk leaves the crater and returns to the Materials and Supplies building...which looks to be unusually active for this time of night.

He is not left to ponder this for long before the Foreman spies him and motions him over. Emergency supplies have arrived (via an elven contingent) for the firebirds that have evacuated to Avalon, and they need all of the hands that can be mustered to help catalog and disperse the goods to those that need them.

Fei is given a list of orders, and he immediately makes his way to the firebird encampment to lend his assistance.

The Half-Alive Streets | Truth of the Seeker | The Sanctuary of Drowned Delight

When Fei arrives at the camp, there is still something of a bustle on, though it is tapering as the elven dispatch themselves are tiring. It was later in their homeland than it was here, and jetlag (or teleportlag, in this case) wasn't something the inhabitants of Agartha were used to dealing with, and so the work had become sluggish. Fei helps the distribution for a time, and then spots a pair of familiar faces... not quite. One familiar face - Ace, and another which looks remarkably akin to Tyrrin, except a good deal older. The High Seer herself, it is likely. The pair appear to be speaking.

"Did I not tell you to seek medical attention?" The High Seer says sternly, moving towards Ace, her eyes suddenly glowing as she manifests a power. "Ah... a shapechanger. That explains the horns and wings." she says quietly. "I can sense nothing physically wrong with you, but I am not a healer. Did you not seek medical attention earlier? Light-headedness is never a positive thing, especially since you are not intoxicated."

"We are nearing completion of the distribution of the supplies, High Priest. There should not be overmuch to do, but we are looking forward now, as the Firebirds will need further supplies while they get re-established." The High Seer continues, and pauses to glance back at her companion. "Gomari, that will be all for the moment. See to it that we leave none of our people here when we return. I would not enjoy stranding one of my own."

"Yes, High Seer." he responds, bowing and turning away to go about the task assigned.

Salis thoughtfully looks her over. Soon he smiled to her as she starts to ramble. "Well you do have a strange man in your room. In my experiance that is something to worry about." After a quick glance around Salis took her hand and lead her to a seat they both could sit with in and cuddle.

With Ori now embraced in his arms he starts telling stories of his homeland. At first it seemed much like here, but as more depth was added the placed started to sound more a more fantastical compared to Argatha. After a while this world Salis was speaking would start to sound made up, with it's gods of light and dark and a demon threat so ever present.

Fei does his best to help the fatigued elven benefactors, switching back and forth between Elven and Common to ease any communication barriers between the two crews. He works nonstop to maintain the rate of distribution while allowing them some bit of rest.

Curious (about both the elven woman and Casilkasheyith's additional bits of...anatomy), but not wishing to interrupt what appeared to be an important conversation, the young monk continues his seemingly tireless efforts. He hefts a pair of large crates and proceeds to bring them over to a pavilion tent a few yards away from the conversing pair.

Feel free to 'act' out Tryko'Sam a bit in the future, Fireclaw, especially in these moments were your time is limited-- he's not an ass. Definitely nice guy here.

Pouring just a bit for her to catch in her open maw, Tryko'Sam doesn't appear to flinch at the size of her teeth or what not, grinning.

"Technology? Nah-- I'm no scientist. I have a knack for math, well, certain types of math, I guess. My memory's a bit blank right now, but it'll come back to me when I can remember it. Usually it's a lot faster than it's been." He doesn't sound upset or anything at the statement, just stating a fact.

"You want some more? Remember-- alcoholic, shouldn't be that strong, you're kind of bigger than a normal human, after all-- I mean, you're not, hum-- yeah, gonna shut up now. More?" He flusters a bit, regains himself and is ready to pour again, sipping from his own in between the pauses.

At this point, a couple step out of the tavern and suddenly pause, being /extremely/ quiet, eyes wide, looking on in shock or surprise, (probably the former) at the sight of a large monstrous looking thing, catching fluids from a human, pouring away.

They seem to reconsider their position in life, at the doorway, and turn to go back in, slowly and quietly. Tryko'Sam doesn't notice one bit, his back was to the door. Seems either unperceptive, or just not that paranoid.

Given, what will entail the evening fully, Vare will find himself (sadly? introspectively? other?) uninterrupted through the night, save by the occasional creature that strays too far, the myriad of Dream creatures that venture in and out of his field of view, the wind and smells of a living forest, and above all else, no return of Anahita.

Whatever the emotions and thoughts that tore through her, at the moment right after their playful frolic and initial stages of foreplay was interrupted, most certainly did not steer themselves towards any desire for her to return to where he was now. Additionally, through the night, there were no further howls of anguish, on the wind, from any wolves-- at least, none as forlorn and pained as the one as Anahita's from before.

It's a lovely evening though! Plenty of night life, for a forest, lingering about, life teeming and things doing, without a care or concern for the wizard, save a sense of avoidance due to instincts for survival and the like.

A few mosquitoes might dare though, as well as some other insect life, depending...

"Hm... I've never had alcohol before... would it even affect me?" Rena asks again, curious at why Tryko'Sam suddenly got so flustered. It was definitely true that she was bigger than a human. After a few more tastes, poured directly into her mouth, the cup is mostly finished off, taking far less time than if it were merely being sipped at. "Thank you Tryko'Sam. You are a good friend." she says eargerly, shaking herself up off the ground.

Moving a bit closer after topping off the mug for Rena, and as to keep the 'secret' he'd thought of ..well, secret, Tryko'Sam leans in and whispers, "So-- where I come from, we have things called 'straws'. They are tubes, that use the power of air pressure and suction to drain the contents of a mug like this, without having to actually pour. I ... suppose, if we had a wine skin. Gah, I really have to think middle ages here, low tech-- but, someone said there's a space port. Anyway."

He promptly downs his own and shakes his head, smacking his lips a few times after, going, "Aaaaa... tasty."

Looking around, he puts the mugs on the railing near the tavern entrance for a moment and thinks on her other questions, "Well .. sometimes there's dancing, movies, music-- uh, could always do that sight seeing too, plus, I guess... just eating and enjoying life." He shrugs, grins and says, "We haven't explored the whole town yet! There might be ice cream still to sample. Come on, Rena, let's make tracks."

With that, he motions to move on, and starts walking off.

"Sorry... I don't know much about technology stuff. I think there's factories around here?" That last part was a question, but probably rhetorical, given that Tryko'Sam was just as clueless as she was about the environs. "That straw sounds great though, just what I need." she intones afterwards, not wanting him to think she'd forgotten about that part.

"I... don't think I can dance... but those other things sound interesting. Exploring sounds fantastic!" Tryko'Sam might notice as he's going along that Rena doesn't seem to be floating anymore, slithering along the ground like a snake now, for whatever reason.

Midori does guiltily show Zilla-chan her hands, slightly burned as they were. It was no worse than a moderate sunburn though. Painful, but that was about it. "But... Ignace-chan just wants to be normal! I can't let her know that she hurt me just by me helping her to get dressed!" Midori counters passionately, the pensiveness seemingly momentarily dispelled. "She's my friend and I'll help her be happy. That's worth some pain, ne?!"

"I understand how you feel, but I don't want to see you hurt ether. So please just don't get yourself really injured. I'm sure that would hurt Ignace more than us being careful." Zilla pleeded with her. Zilla was both worried about Midori's health and Ignace finding out that Midori has been hiding getting injured.

"Well, first and foremost," while walking along, "we can explore town-- after all, who wants to be cooped up in some school all the time, it's the weekend. Shit."

He casually covers ground with Rena, peeking into this and that open shop or stall, while perceiving his surroundings-- at one point, however, he pauses and sniffs, then says, "Oh.. do you smell that?"

There's a smell of cooked meat, flavored and the like. "Do you like barbecue? Cause I sure do-- finger licking good. Shall I get some? Chicken or beef?" He guides Rena towards the smell, which grows greater and greater as he does, finally lending to another eatery with people seated outside, who pause in their meals and look ...somewhat on, horrified, towards Tryko'Sam, but much more so towards Rena.

Initially, however, Tryko'Sam pauses and then says, "Hi! Don't mind me or my companion here-- she's extremely polite and friendly, won't hurt a single one of you, I promise! More importantly, she's a classic vegetarian -- not a meat eater, in the least way!"

This... sort of works. A few of them calm, a few of the older ones stay spooked.

Hissing through his teeth towards Rena, he says, "Be right back with some tasty treats... act friendly, don't grin." He then slips into the place, running.

Rena takes a long deep breath in through the nostils when Tryko'Sam first asks if she can smell what he is smelling, and immediately begins salivating, swallowing a couple times. "Uhh.. whatever you are having. That smell is amazing."

When the pair approaches the eatery, especially when the people look spooked, Rena keeps her head as near to the ground as possible. Tryko'Sam defends her verbally, and gives advice before going into to get them food.

She continues to hug the ground, staying an non-threatening as possible. When Tryko'Sam is inside, after a couple moments, she says in that silky smooth voice of her. "He's right. I'm not going to hurt you." despite her words, her teeth flash slightly as she talks.

"It's okay, really. It only stings a little. I'm fine. I'm not silly enough to stay when Ignace-chan gets really hot. Don't worry about me, ne?" Midori says modestly. "But a little pain is fine if it means my friend is happy."

Female [Classified] Bard 16 / [classified] 16

Melody, lying in her bed writing in her diary...

... Despite being a bit difficult at times, Kai has been there for me when Dom can't, I hope to never loose him. I love ya Kai, no Prince Charming is gonna take me away.

Got a new roommate, Her name is Vai, I hope to become close friends with her, I never had friends, I mean real friends before. she had to see her family today but she will be back, maybe I can wait up. maybe have hot coco or something for when she comes back. thats what friends do isn't it?

Melody sits and thinks what else she needs to add. deciding that is enough. she closes the diary and sets it on her desk.

she then sets up a small table with some mugs and starts to look for a way to make hot coco and have it ready for when Vai returns.

not finding anything in the room she starts to head out the door but stops.she takes a few deep breaths then runs back to grab her sonic wand clutching it like a weapon and security blanket all in one.

Brave heart....brave heart...brave heart... she whispers to herself over and over.

Melody flings open the door pointing her sonic wand out into the hallway looking up and down left and right. the gentle buzzing of the wand is the only sound heard.

she steps causiously into the hall and uses her wand to close and lock the dormroom door.

Melody moves as quickly as possible to fetch some hot milk and chocolate and hopefully return to the room. hoping to avoid as many other people as possible.

Yaaaaah... teeth show, even with her voice, and there's cringing. Murmurs of fear-- the usual, but not too severe.

A few of the people keep their eye on her, intently.

And then, out through the doorway, Tryko'Sam with a couple 'bags' of stuff, grinning. "Awesome-- let's find a roost spot or whatever, and chow. At that, he's glancing around. Can you spot somewhere we can park it? Given the hour, it's a bit dark for me..." Peering back, he grins at the others nearby and says, "Hey! thanks a ton for being decent and nice people by not giving my companion here grief-- I'm just thrilled you were understanding and polite enough to embrace diversity."

With that, he turns back, grinning.

"Let's find a spot-- I'll follow you, just make sure I can see you, where ever you go."

He is ready to follow.

Lead on Fireclaw, assume he will follow you.

Ace shakes his head, both to clear his mind and to disagree with the High Seer "I do not believe this is medical related. It has happened three times today. Once with your daughter this morning when her and I were talking about the Equinox gala, once when I met you for the first time, and just now. I spent hours in Kuros dancing and dining, with no ill effects. Ginni and I strolled back to down, so I do not think my time in town lead to this most recent episode."

"Indeed? And do you not think it is unwise to leave these episodes uninvestigated?" she says, still stern and cold in manner, her eyes following the young man a few yards away carrying quite a heavy load given that he appeared to be a student.

"Even if it were a new ability manifesting itself - would you not think it wise to seek to gain control of it, that you might direct it or at least understand what the episodes mean?" The High Seer glances again at Fei, looking him up and down. "Young man, do you agree with my assessment of your fellow student? No need to be coy, I know you could hear us speaking."

Rena is seemingly overjoyed at Tryko'Sam's return and sniffs the bags eagerly. Her blue-white feathers are quite easily visible in the town, despite the dim light on the streets. She bows her head slightly in deference to the people eating outside the restaurant, happy they had not spooked too much at her presence.

Moving a little ways away from the cafe, Rena stops, flicking her tail forward in front of Tryko'Sam to indicate he should stop as well, before flying... or stretching, straight up. Her tail stays in front of her friend, but she extends herself some 15 feet in the air straight up, clearing some of the low-buildings, clearly looking around town. Apparently abandoning all pretense of being the submissive creature with Tryko'Sam as her master.

"There's a park with a small hill just a few blocks over that way." Rena says upon her return to ground-level, floating along beside her friend as they begin to make their way in the direction she had pointed out. The streets twist oddly as they make their way easily through the town, and Rena is forced for a second time to raise her head way up to reorient themselves... but they do eventually make it to the park.

Beautiful green grass, well tended, as well as a large fragrant flowerbed leading up to the hill.. there's even a bench atop the small hill, though clearly meant for humanoids and not huge snake creatures. Still, Rena doesn't seem purturbed, and the view between the trees of the park is quite nice - the lights of the town wink gently at them as the leaves rustle in the wind. "How's this for a roost spot?" Rena asks, sniffing the bags again, hopefully.

"That's... that's alright Krays." she says, still trying to fight the blush, especially with what she was about to say. "I mean, if I've ever ready, Fei might never be, y'know? I hadn't really thought about it."

"Don't borrow trouble before you need to. You guys will figure things out in their own time. Somehow or other," he said with a wink.

Ephebe was surprised to find so many people still in the hatchery.

"Am I interrupting something?" she asked, bemused.

"Not really. Vai was just playing her harp for the eggs. And I was trying to convince mine not to be jealous about having to wait for their names. They all seem tired today. I'm not really sure why. Anyhow, I'll get out of your hair now. I know you don't get as much time with the little ones as you'd like."

"Pheebs!" Vai cries, jumping up and squishing her petite big sister in a hug, the remainder of her embarassment dispelled by James and then the arrival of Ephebe. "How've you been?! I haven't seen you since.... well since the night Dad came back!"

"Yes, High Seer, I do plan to investigate these episodes, as well as attempt to harness whatever new ability may possibly be emerging, if in fact that is what's going on. However, my day has been incredibly, uh, crazy, to put it mildly. I've had dreams I believe are telling the future, found out I have an insane, incredibly powerful psion living inside my head who took over my body and tried to murder or at least maim a fellow student and finally I had to help resurrect Fei, who happens to be the young man you just directed your question to. He blew up early today."

"Perfect..." Wasting little time, since things were cooling off, Tryko'Sam opened up her bag and ripped it in half, so it were a plate of sorts, to set down in front of her. Then he undoes the wrappings on the various meat products in there adding, "Wasn't sure if you liked bones or not, so I went for as much boneless as possible-- just be careful biting too fast." To which, grinning, he starts in on his own food stash.

Mostly, he's eating so he doesn't speak-- manners!
