As Lang finishes his form a huge wall of water rises up about 20 to 30 feet and about 80 feet long solidifies to ice.
Lang turns around to see what he did his mouth open in disbelief
as the racers emerge, to Lang the whole world seems to swap to slow motion.
all Lang can do is close his eyes and hope for the best.
Fei glances back briefly to gauge Vai's distance. An odd series of creaking noises cause him to return his attentions ahead of him where a wall of ice has emerged from the (unusually choppy) lake across his intended path to make a crossing.

"Fei!!" Vai cries as it looks for a moment like he was about to slam into the ice wall... but once again Vai is impressed by his quick movements.
It is an easy thing for Vai to swoop up and wing over the wall, delivering an almost careless blow to it with her tail, smashing a small part. The incident is quickly forgotten as Vai's big wings rend the air, flapping quickly, allowing her to gain a great deal of speed. She banks around the lake, turning up to the final leg of the race neck in neck with her meldanya.
"Great! Well it's a bad word but there are much worse." She calmed down as she spoke as if the fact she knows that is something she wished she didn't. Sorun's eyes fade to icy white, and he goes to the waters edge, a bubbling noise escapes his throat and he pushes downward..... A funnel to the bottom forms....
Lang stood there stareing as both racers avoided the Ice. the look of panic and fear in is eyes but as each avoided it he breathed a sigh of relief.
once they pass unharmed lang just collapses into the grass.

Next he moves over to where the divide of the room splits his odd decor from Dave's default settings. He produces a blue marker and traces a large ornate fireplace on the wall. The magic grows a real one out where he draws. When the fire pops up it is blue and cold instead of hot. "Cool it worked!"

LAng feels relieved that nobody was hurt. and he goes back to looking at that book. perhaps there is more to this than he thought. the old forms seem different. hard to describe.

she sets up to record and pulls out her guitar and starts some free form playing just letting her feelings guide her as she plays some gentle songs that will express her feelings.

"Well I guess it more like stealing the image. I just remember her image from another school Hew attended. So I used as a basis for an illusion. I hope that she doesn't mind it but I just thought she looked cute so I used it. I'm sure what ever my body will be, will look different. If I ever get one. I didn't ask to use it so it's kinda like stealing." She seems a little depressed about not having her own body.
Vai and Fei are neck and neck right until the end... when Vai seems to be fading from fatigue and Fei puts on a burst of speed, reaching the top of the rise first, if only by a second or two.

"Sun, Cariban says we should go out and tell the squirrels to be nice to you. And that you will be nice to them. So they will leave you be." :)

Realizing Jeran was the only one in this out-of-the-way student lounge, Tyrrin thought it might be appropriate to knock on the threshold. She taps firmly, standing at the doorway. "Mr. Darkclaw?"
Jeran looked up and gave her a blank look. "Am I in trouble for something?"
Vai bites her lower lip as she lands next to Fei and shyly plays with her hair. "The more time I spend with you Fei, the more awesome you are." she steps a little closer, a little breathless and flushed from the excercise, she takes a slow breath, looking into his eyes before saying. "Thank you for suggesting this."
"Thanks Ginni, I appreciate your concern. I promise, if this happens again, I will head to the infirmary right away, and call for both you and Professor Sunwake immediately."

"Hmm. Well....if it's just the basis for your illusion and you didn't make yourself an exact copy, then I don't think it's stealing. It's imitating. The person might not be exactly thrilled, but I think I would find it creepy if someone was walking around with my exact appearance and much less so if it was just a close resemblance."
