The surgery went well - the only hiccup so far was having to switch painkillers because the first one wasn't working (but we got that taken care of this morning).
My wife and I are now up at her parents' home in the North Carolina mountains for the week. I think it's time to finally get some rest now... ;)

I spent this morning chaperoning a field trip to a pond. There was a lot of mud. Glad I have galoshes. And I smell like furniture polish thanks to my citronella based bug spray.

Quick question on the functionality of the library: Does it have access to all libraries on the material plane? Only Avalon? Does it work off of what the person is trying to find? It'll matter for Tyrrin.
It has access to all libraries current, past, and occasionally future (that gets complicated) on the material plane...and maybe a few other planes once in a while. Rooms and sections appear based on what the person is seeking. The entire school is essentially like the room of requirement. In this case what was required was that the room be a school. So when new things are needed, the magic adds them on. In the case of the library the magic of the school intersects with the inherent magic of books and wackiness ensues.
Before the operation goes on regarding Nasima, I'd like to acquire both Resist Energy and Protection from Energy. I know they don't stack, but resist energy will be a longer-term thing, taking over after Protection from energy runs out.

Okay, this is basically a recap because I'm finding that with the exception of a couple of things still in progress we're kind of finished with the weekend stuff.
The book crew. Scheduled to be back at Avalon before Monday morning since Ori has class to teach...presuming she still has a job after she has to fess up to Ryo that she neglected to include some info on her application. Like her real age and the fact that she turns into a violent nature spirit when she loses her temper. minor stuff. :P

Nala. She was successful in helping Michael and the story arc with her mom is finished. The Winter Queen believes the real Nala is with her. Meanwhile, the real Nala is enjoying some R&R with Ryuzo. (Also, Nala and Vai should totally form a support group. Just saying.)
Kitty and Michael. Enjoying some time with Michael's parents. I think we covered all the important conversations there?
Ephebe interfered in her sibling's life (big shock) and is now enjoying some quiet time with her mate before starting her new project on Monday. (Also possibly taking over the ballet class since the prof just got kicked out, but we haven't really gotten to the fallout from that yet.)
Student council elections. Jiminy was elected student council president. Nadya is also on student council. Don't feel bad if you don't remember her, she's an NPC whose scheduled appearance was canceled because of other stuff happening with the PCs. She's only appeared once in class with Gustav who hasn't been around pretty much at all. I don't yet have names for the other members of the student council so if anyone wants to lay claim to one of them feel free. Otherwise I'll just make stuff up as I go...like normal. :)
Plans for interventions with Nasima's problems have been set in motion and are on the back burner for now.
Sadie and Vai are attending a tea party hosted by the half-ogre brothers. This is full of awkward at the moment. :)
Fei and Tyrrin are having a confrontation as Tyrrin was on her way to the library.
Ehos and Anthony are brainstorming ideas for dealing with Ehos's problems.
Wyrd is helping in the gardens.
Phaeze is going to get some rest after a difficult transformation.
Ghalen was looking up history books in the library.
I think that's everything. Looks like there's only a couple of things to wrap up before moving on.

I know what you mean about Ghalen. I have a few NPCs like that. They're there, but their turn to matter for the story hasn't really come up yet. But it's fine. It adds to the sense of realism. Besides, Jiminy has decided that Ghalen is his friend now whether Ghalen likes it or not so he's likely to be drawn into things more often. :)
Also, I can't wait to see Jeran's reaction at Nala being a were bear.
lol. Yeah. Oddly enough I think it will actually help. Not that it makes things better, but being bested by another lycan rather than just some girl I think will help salvage a little of his pride.
