Well, think about the mechanics of what it's supposed to do. List it out. We don't have to copy the mechanics of another class, just make power levels equivalent. I know what my impression of it is, but I don't know exactly which aspects you're looking at. Once I know that, I can definitely help make something that will work.

What I'm really looking at is the ability to absorb spells, taking on the characteristics of said spells. Eg, if lightning bolt were to be absorbed, we'd see an increase in speed, and extra damage in the form of electricty damage. I'd also be interested in the possibility of losing control, and having a demonic sort of power take over. It fits well with such massive modifications to the body as happen during Magia Erebea.
Looking around, I found that someone put down a (very) rough conversion idea. Keep in mind, it's incredibly nonspecific, but it's the only thing I've found.
Yes, that seems like a good idea. The closest thing I can find to that idea currently is the psionic power, energy conversion, which really doesn't fully realize the concept. Absorbing spells should probably work a lot like dispel or counter spell.

Continued looking around, and I've found a potential build, although it's incredibly vague, adn I've got to get some books from a friend. It uses some Bo9S stuff, like the Swordsage, specifically the unarmed variant proposed at the end of the swordsage section. I'm looking through it, I'll be sure to pop in if I find something that might work.
Also, I was talking about Absorbing the spells of the user, not necessarily as Negi's power-capturing magic circle thing, although i found that really cool as well.
Swordsage, with the unarmed variant seems like it could work. As for the the demon taking over I would say take some frenzied berserker levels along with a level of barbarian or two with fiend totem.

Yeah, I was considering that. I'm looking at unarmed Swordsage, Jade Pheonix Mage on one side, Duskblade, Enlightened Fist, Abjurant Champion on the other, so I don't really see where Frenzied Berserker would fit in, although i could get a level or two of barbarian. Still looking for potential classes, but it looks like I've got what I need. Do we have any teacher openings?
Also, I still need to learn the Stance/Maneuver system. Going over that now.

That is a lot of multiclassing, reminds me of what I had to do for a Guts character idea lol.
Well, you can also feel free to do a mashup to keep things from getting too complicated. If all you need from a class is a class feature or two see if there are features of another class you are already taking that can be exchanged for it.

Hmm... actually, I was considering taking Spellwarp Assassin for Warp spell, and Enlightened Fist for Hold Ray, but have no idea what to swap for. I could do completely without Armored Mage and Armor Proficiency, but I'm not sure if that would be an adequate swap, (My gut instinct is no) nor am I sure what else to swap for.
I think your gut instinct is correct, especially on armor proficiency. It just isn't as good of an ability as what you'd be swapping it for. Maybe the swap plus a feat though.
I found the Guts character, he has levels in fighter, barbarian, Hellreaver, Frenzied Berserker, Ranger, and Stalker of Kharash. Frenzied berserker was mostly for flavor though.

Sure, I'll give up a feat for it, if that's alright with you. Do you have a preference for what level feat would be given up?
Also, do you mind if I count Mage Armor as an abjuration effect for the purpose of Abjurant Champion? It seems odd to me that it wouldn't be, but it's an Evocation, if I'm not mistaken. :/

Edit 2: :O Shield and Mage Armor aren't even on the spell list. That's so disappointing.
Feats are feats. No need to worry about level. It tends to auto correct since losing a low level feat means taking longer to qualify for prereqs.
I'm fine with counting mage armor as abjuration. It really should be if it isn't.
Do you mind, then, if I add shield and mage armor to the spell list? I'm surprised they aren't.
I'm good with that. I doubt very much that those two spells are going to cause things to become overpowered. :D

So.... I won't need Warp Spell, or even, i don't think, Hold Ray. I would, however, like to add some variety with the spell list. The spell list is incredibly small, so if you don't mind, some that I can think of off the top of my head that I would like to add are Force Punch, Force Hook Charge, and Dimension door to the list. That, and maybe fly. Frigid touch wouldn't be bad either, but I can't really think of any others.

Err....trying to remember....I think the only ones were PE teachers. And Aananda is not up for teaching unarmed combat anymore. Or PE for that matter. Security and tech development are full time jobs already. So unless I'm forgetting someone then no, we don't already have a teacher for that.

Given the info that came up during Michael's interview about his mental issue, now solved, perhaps Vakkler was asked to take a brief sabbatical? He was obviously having emotional difficulties during the whole episode. I doubt they would ever fire him, but letting him take a break would be reasonable. Genosuke can take over his classes until he returns.

Well, I hope that works better for you than me...The one time I took it I don't recall if it helped with pain on account of it knocking me unconscious. I can't take anything stronger than motrin. But I'm told that vicodin is good stuff. :)
