It takes time, costing the party half a day, but they drag themselves out of the sewer, into the Puddles, then from there back into the Coins where they purchase various items [/ooc] Everyone just list what you buy[/ooc] then they make their way back down into the sewer, dropping anything they want to off back in the base camp.
Kracow shows the party where he discovered a dead Drow with a massive wound in his chest. It has already been stripped of gear.
The wound appears to have been made while the Drow was helpless with a very large Sword
Nothing particular for Varin to do. He spends his day scrubbing metal. At one point he sees a Kobold slave be dragged back quivering Heal Check below The Kobold who poisoned Varin comes out and messes around with the wound, collecting something then leaves the Kobold to its fate.

Salus eyes the downed drow closely, "I wonder who stripped him, and more importantly, where are they now?"
Boneyard Pyke
"That's not the only mystery. There was also evidence in the spider cave that some large was dragged from there. I also saw some pieces of cloth that may have been netting. Perhaps our male spiders. Or perhaps something fell to the females and was dragged this way."
Boneyard crouches over the dead drow. "Give me a few moments and we might be able to learn a few things from this dead drow besides the fact that he was killed while helpless with a great big sword." Boneyard pulls out his scroll of blood biography and a sheet of paper and casts the spell.
Heal 1d20 ⇒ 15
You learn the answers to a specific set of questions about a creature so long as you have access to at least one drop of its blood. You can cast this spell on the blood of the living or the dead, but living or undead creatures are entitled to a saving throw to resist the spell. You can cast the spell on dried or fresh blood. Once you cast the spell the answers to the following four questions appear on any flat surface you designate (a wall, a piece of paper, and so on).
Who are you? (The name by which the creature is most commonly known)
What are you? (Gender, race, profession/role)
How was your blood shed? (Brief outline of the events that caused its wound, to the best of the victim's knowledge)
When was your blood shed?
These answers always appear in a language you can read even if the creature cannot speak that or any language.
We each received a monthly retainer of 150 gp. We each received a bonus of 200 gp (from the platinum). That's everything earned so far, correct?
Kracow "Two Guns" Tosier
Just to be clear, since we know its a drow, do we have another question or is it only those four? Can we ask its job or function in the group he was with instead of race?
Good to know we have some hocus pocus divinity. I'll be sure to make more corpses for you to talk to.

Kracow will cast darkvision to staff off the impending sickness once we chat with the dead. On the trip to the city, he would have cast endure elements from a scroll.

Great orcs and drow. This is getting better and better. Next there will be kobolds!
Ready to head in?
Kracow waits for the group to prepare then will lead the way, scouting for traps along the way.

Salus moves to the body and positions it in a state of repose, muttering a prayer to Sarenrae as he does so.
"Raiders, an orc from the surface..." the tiefling says, thoughtfully, "We should find this orc and find out what they know, and why the drow where tracking them. Let's go."

Not sure if you wanted to speak with dead here.
The party moves slowly down the tunnel, with Kracow guiding the party around a trap, that would have set off a large alarm bell.
They come to a fork in the tunnel. One goes the same direction on the same elevation, and the other goes deeper underground.
Boneyard Pyke
Yes, hadn't had a chance to frame up the post yet. So, quick retcon...
"Before we go, let's see if the drow can tell us anything about what we face ahead." Continuing to kneel next to the corpse, Boneyard casts his mind toward Ziomarra. "Mother Ziomarra, I have need of your advice and perhaps your aid. Before me is the body of a drow raider, slain recently by an orc. We hope to learn more. Can you help bring his spirit back so we may have some words with him about the drow?"

Kracow finds it hard to hide his revulsion at the sight of the dead come back to play. He nervously keeps his hand on the pommel of his gun.
Once done with this, heal yourself. We don't need aches in pains holding us back in a possible fight.

Drow twitches.
We have set a base camp. When I left there were 3 other raiders, a priestess, and her body guard, and slaves of varying numbers, I care not for them. There is but one entrace and exit to the cavern and there are traps along the entrance though they are changed daily. We are the advance force soon to be slave.
the drow makes a sound as if he is spitting, though, of course, nothing comes out.

Definitely close, my rockcoco friend.
I looked through a drow's eye and would hate to have to repeat it.
Kracow will cast identify from his wand(50/47) and concentrate while searching for traps once the party is ready to go.
Keep your eyes open for those traps. Once I disarm them, buff up and get ready for a fight.
Ehad, not sure if your order teaches this but if you can stun the priestess, that wold help reduce her as a threat. I'll focus on any casting drow and range attackers.
Ready?

As Kracow moves down the tunnel he comes across four different traps, all of which are plates designed to cover the entire area of the floor. They must be disarmed or tripped.
4 DC 20 Disable Devices
Then he comes across a magical trap. It too covers a large area of the tunnel. As far as Kracow can tell it extends the last 20 feet until the entrance to the cavern where the drow should be.
With his identify spell up, he is easily able to discern that it will set off an Alarm spell, alerting the drow of their presence. Perhaps due to this fact the drow in the tunnel do not seem to be paying much attention to the tunnel.
Looking in ou heroes can see that along the side wall is a pool of water. There are two tents in the cavern, one square and one round. Against the far wall is an orc, with one hand busy scrubbing armor clean.
This orc is familiar to you. He runs an apothecary in the Puddles District. He usually tends to his patients with a horrific mask. He often suffers from extreme bigotry. Those who know such things believe that were he to be a human or elf, or gnome or dwarf thathe would have a successful shop in the Coins.
Just before leaving the city there were rumblings that he had attempted to kill his apprentice Albrecht.
There are 4 Kobolds, slaves, wandering the room, though one near the square tent seems to have various bottles on his person.
There are two Drow raiders and another wearing a large sword along his back as well as wearing nicer armor, and a horrific mask. D1 There is no sign of the priestess.

I cant stop her entirely but I'll do my best, if her lackeys come to here aid they'll be in for a surprise as well.
those traps could pose a problem. Who wants to bet there are spiders involved in at least one of them. I think at this point I'll use one of the antitoxins, I dont feel like a repeat of last time.

Time to get paid. Use your magic now while I disarm these, Kracow will whisper.
Kracow casts shield from his remaining scroll then set about disarming the plates getting a guidance from the oracle.
