As far as gear goes, I'm keeping what I bought at creation plus a light crossbow, 20 bolts, my scale mail(obviously,) my grooming kit and my harvester's kit, but the rest as I see it is pretty much communal equipment, so go ahead and throw it in whatever pool we get written up.

Myth-weavers for the win, IMHO. Screw the spreadsheet noise.
hmm, I'm not seeing a group inventory sheet of any kind there. please halp?
GM_Armok
Ok, I got everyone but Urist on this. It's a Google Sheet, again, but I designed it differently, and that means that it's editable by everyone here. I'd really appreciate help keeping it up to date!
I hope I got it mostly right. In making it, I noticed some haven't changed their profiles to reflect masterwork weapons and armor and such so make sure you've got that. A +1 to attack can be crucial at early levels!!!
Specific notes:
Boomer, what kind of armor are you wearing?
Toulbe, you have a shortsword listed under offense on your profile, not the masterwork frying pan I expected.
Urist, I'll get to you sooner than later.
A link will live under the Campaign Info tab :)

For the sake of this combat, yes. For PbP i like to do the baddies in blocks by type. Usually at the end of each of my posts I'll have the initiative order, with bold highlighting who can act. Then I try my best to resolve things according to initiative and give a summation of that round. Other combats might play out a bit differently if theres a mix of combatants.

~shakes fist~ Damn you spider...you so WILLFULL.
Seriously though, I can only assume the damned thing is at 0 or 1 hp and that is just frustrating. LOL
Oh well....would've been a good way to prove his worth to the dwarves managing at least a kill...but Toulbe will have to do so another way one day!
At least, he has a wagon full of explosives back there to keep him viable should we get into another combat!

Well, the forums return just in time for me to inform you that I will be traveling out of town for the weekend. Going to Roswell and Carlsbad. UFOs, bottomless lakes, black rivers, monstrous caverns, gonna be a fun weekend. Feel free to wind up this conflict, you’ve neutralized the threat as far as I’m concerned.
Gunnar, two of the spiders are left intact enough to harvest parts from. That’s a DC16 Survival check for each spider to extract venom or spinnarets.
I’ll be back Monday to move things along.

Last week they rolled out a bunch of under-the-hood changes to the sit's architecture. It broke some very important features. Like the ability to reply to posts and private massages, and the ability to buy things from the web store.
Apparently fixing that wasn't a quick process.

Think of the revenue loss. I cannot imagine what happened but there has to be more than what I am hearing.
GM_Armok
From an email response I received from the webmaster, there was a massive strain on the site following the launch of the play test that caused some unforeseen problems. I’m hoping they’re starting to get a handle on it. I’m a bit wary now of celebrating too soon, I admit.

Just a heads up that I am headed to dragon con tomorrow after work and will not be back til late Monday night. My posting will be limited until I return. I hope the site is up and I am missed. lol
GM_Armok
Travel safe Glor, and have fun! Has everyone survived the Great Downtime of 2018?
GM_Armok
You've each earned 228 XP from the spiders. We are on the medium advancement track.

Travel safe Glor, and have fun! Has everyone survived the Great Downtime of 2018?
...wait, the site's back up? For real this time? Lovely
I'll order Urist out of the burrows and start posting again!| GM_Armok |
According to THIS thread, there's one more scheduled outage in the near future. But things appear to be smoothing out!
Toulbe Hilnack
Still here, I apologize if I've not posted, all these outages and my own mental health thanks to a rough physical health month has been...holding me back a bit on my normal posting rates >.<
Barik Everast
Hi all, I've been holding off from doing this, but following the website crashes and my attempts to keep the games I'm running from going under, I don't have time or headspace for this game.
I'm really sorry to do this to you, it was looking like a great game and a fantastic concept. I will continue to GM and I hope to see you on these boards at some future stage.
GM_Armok
Understood, and thanks for the heads up. You’re welcome back if things settle down for ya.
That leaves Hezekh unaccounted for...
GM_Armok
Sure, I'm great with that. I'll start contacting peeps from the original recruiting pool.
In the meantime, I'm sure you can handle these scorpions.
GM_Armok
Players, I want to write up clear rules on the profession skill checks I spoke of earlier and send those to you via PM. Please add these to your character sheets, as they are basically an extra feat/class ability what have you.
I say this because now is a perfect moment for Urist to make a Profession (Soldier) check for some extra combat bonuses.
I’ll try to get this done over the weekend.
Also, we have a replacement for Barik joining us soon, they’ll introduce themselves here shortly.

Grand so!
I'll dot in with Goggeck Ghack. Still working on mechanics.
Rolewise, he could be a staunchly traditionalist militia sergeant, hammerer or champion. He believes very strongly in an aggressive stance against the foes of dwarf-kind. Specifically, hammering them to mush.
Mechanically, an inquisitor of Trudd with the exarch and preacher archetypes. And the biggest hammer I can get my hands on: dwarven longhammer with a feat.
Urist McFatson
Sounds like a bunch of fun(tm)! It'll be nice to have a fellow militiadwarf in the crew. Perhaps he could share war stories with Urist.
And of course, welcome aboard.
GM_Armok
Some of you received your Profession Skill abilities yesterday, I'll try to roll out the rest of em today.
Because these are homebrew abilities, and to preserve the difficulty level of 'Challenging but Fair', I reserve the right to tweak these as we go along. If you fancy yourself a more experienced GM than I (which you probably are if you're a GM) and you see something completely gamebreaking or just useless the way it's written, I'm always, always open to feedback.
Goggeck Ghack
Mechanics sorted and some basic background, all in his profile.
How best can Goggeck join in?
Standing 4' 3", with a well-kept red beard and piercing stare, Goggeck is a picture of Dwarven strength. And that's before the giant hammer with the snarling hydra head.
A mere 54 years old, Goggeck made something of a name for himself. He used to be a sculptor of middling skill before he felt a calling to use his strength for something greater. He found himself in a temple to Trudd, and never looked back.
He has joined the militia in an effort to batter down the enemies of Dwarfkind. Time will tell how well this goes.
GM_Armok
I think because it's still early in the game, Goggeck can jump right in as if he'd been there the entire time, if that's ok with everyone.
I'll have your Profession Skill ability in a jiffy, Goggeck.
Goggeck Ghack
Fine by me. :)
