He swim pretty good. Now we get back to keeping ship afloat.

Male Gillman Water Kineticist 2 ____ 34 HP

Trytton swims back to the boat and climbs back on board carefully.

Narrator

After a few hours of strenuous work as riggers the storm calms down again. The sea is still in uproar but the sun breaks through the clouds here and there. And one of these beams of sunlight lights up a white spot on the sea.

Ratline shouts “Ship ahoy!” from the lookout. And Captain Harrigan immediately commands pursuit. It will take quite a long tim eto reach that white speck tere close to the horizon. But now some actual piracy is in sight.

Narrator

Aretta and Tam are put on the lower deck. Due to the ship ahead no one is interested in asking questions now. But it takes hours and hours to follow that ship. It takes all night and some until the Wormwood closes in on the Rahadoumi merchant vessel.

Captain Harrigan instructs Kroop and Trytton to slaughter half a dozen pigs, slit their throats, and throw them overboard to attract sharks to the scene of the battle.

As the Wormwood closes to within half a mile of the Man’s Promise, Riaris Krine summons Trytton, Lito, Besmara, Jarrus, Noonan and Estelle to the Wormwood’s poop deck (area A2) to give them their task for the upcoming battle."The ship’s wheel is on the aft deck, just below the sterncastle. You’re going to grapple over, kill the guards on the sterncastle, take the wheel, and guard the ship’s boats. Kill anyone who tries to get away on one of the boats. Don’t move from the wheel until the fighting’s done, or you’ll have to answer to me. Oh yeah, as we get close, it’s going to get foggy. Just stick to what I told you to do."

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"Are we going to strangle them to death? Or are we getting some weapons for a change?" Besmara complains after she made sure none of her knives or her axe showing.

Krine looks at all of the group and orders "Come with me." and takes them to the armory.

This tiny chamber is crammed with chests and neatly ordered weapon racks. The armory is secured with a lock. The weapon racks hold 20 clubs, 12 heavy crossbows, 20 cutlasses, 50 javelins, 12 shortspears, and 20 grappling hooks each attached to 50 feet of rope. Two chests contain 500 heavy crossbow bolts each. "Everyone who has no weapon can have one."

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

Besmara grabs a heavy crossbow and a hand full of bolts.

Grabs his weapons and armor, and finally a grappling hook/rope. As he gets ready he asks Sandra.
I'm still weak from the poison stings at the reef, any chance ye can help me with that?

Female Human Cleric of Besmara (3)

"I sure could. But I will only do if you stop calling me Sandra. My name is Sandara." she replies with a raised eyebrow.

Taking her flag out she casts lesser restoration on him.
LR: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Narrator

The two ships soon enter into reasonable firing range (120 feet) and close together at a speed of 30 feet per round. The crew of the Man’s Promise begins to bombard the Wormwood with missiles, mainly crossbow bolts, but also with two ballistas on the sterncastle attacking the Wormwood’s rigging in a futile attempt to slow the pirate ship. At the same time, banks of heavy mist suddenly envelop the enemy ship. From now until the conclusion of the battle, combat aboard the Man Promise takes place within multiple fog cloud spells cast by Peppery Longfarthing. Which makes all shooting from and to the Man's Promise just random guessing.

After a short time the ships collide and the pirates start and the pirates begin hurling grapples and lowering planks to board the Man’s Promise. The ships are now locked together.

Narrator

Now there are several options to get over to the Man's Promise.
a) You do as told and throw your grappling hook and climb over via the rope as you learned it. (Haha) There are sharks swimming in the sea by the way and the Rahadoumi wont throw Garbage. They will shoot with their crossbows and cutting your ropes.

b) Jumping over to the ship. Which might not be the worst option. It's about a ten foot jump to get amidst the deck you shall go to. But you jump from the rail and have no running start.

c) Ignore what you've been told and take the way through the thick of the fight and walk over one of the two planks. Which is a detour over the main deck.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"Yeah, great. That crossbow is completely useless." Besmara states and throws the thing into the corner. "After me! Last one at the wheel will stay a swab forever!"

She mounts the rail and jumps over to the other ship
