Well if you hold ye tongue and ask nicely I think this will get it for ye.. He offers her the 5 GP, unless ye want me to try getting that for you.
I know it's hard, but sometimes honey does work better then a stick even with those ye hate...
Lito de'Anora
Lito will see if Grok is still awake/open for business.
If she is he will ask with his biggest smile:
So what would it take to liberate that Fiddle in there? I know Rosie is a foul mouthed little pain, but I think a little music would do wonders to help crew morale...
Estelle Numbduster
Estelle will wander up on to the deck with the rest, watching them toss the hog. She will then go over to see Owlbear, sitting down with the.
"Ye fought well old timer, ye didn't stand a chance though, blind eye and being beaten as ye are. Next time maybe ye will get me."
She touches his shoulder then goes over to the rest gathered at the rails.
Riaris Krine
The six are greeted by Riaris Krine. Krine’s skin is darkened from countless days on deck under the sun, and her nose has the appearance of having been broken several times over. One of her legs has been replaced with a wooden peg leg. She may be the most viletongued wench the group has ever met, and her language makes Rosie Cusswell sound like a nun.
"You are going to learn how to enter a ship today. So you lower the jolly boat while I explain to you what you'll be doing." Krine orders.
"From that jolly boat you're throwing a grappling hook at the Wormwood. You tie the rope off and climb up and enter the ship. And because that is too easy for you I'll have some of the others throw garbage at you."
As the boat is lowered Krine takes two of them with her to do the training. "Come over ye rabid, nose pickin' worthless streak O' pee! Who dasn't make 't on the ship will get six lashes"
GM Foxy
Rules:
- Throwing the grappling hook is at -6 to hit AC 5
- The climb check is DC 15. You need four of them to reach the ship. You miss it by 5 and you're off the rope.
- If you're hit by trash, you make a DC10 Reflex Save or you fall off the rope.
- The sea is calm, swimming is DC10 and you can take 10 on it. If you don't make it with that just sink to the ground. You're no good as a pirate.
- You got three tries to get over.
Procedure is: You make your climb rolls - 4 successful ones or until one fails - check if you're hit on the way - one Attack per climb check. Make the reflex rolls. Restart if it ended in the water.
You go in groups of two
Estelle, Besmara
Lito, Trytton
Noonan, Jarrus
At the rail of the Wormwood stand four of the pirates that don't like you as much.

On her turn Besmara gets on the boat. She takes up the rope with the grappling hook and once Krine says to start she throws it at the Wormwood.
Ranged: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (8) - 1 = 7
As the hook hangs on to the rail she ties the rope off and starts climbing.

Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26

Estelle Numbduster
So I got hit each time?
Grappling hook: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Hitting the side of the ship and locking her hook on, Estelle ties off and begins her climb.
Climb 1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Estelle takes a piece of something to the face, falling in the water. She Swims back over to the boat and begins again.

Trytton
Grappling hook: 1d20 + 3 - 6 ⇒ (10) + 3 - 6 = 7
Once it is Trytton's turn he tosses the rope when indicated.
Hooking onto the balustrade he begins his climb.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 16
He makes it partway up before being hit by rubbish.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Besmara swims back to the boat.

Lito de'Anora
Lito grabs a grappling hook and tosses it.
Ranged Grappling hook: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (1) - 6 = -5
However he doesn't grab it well an the hook flies backwards on the backswing.
As he reels it in he thinks:
Oh boy, I better play this one for laughs.
He looks around and says: oh wrong boat.... let's just try that again.
He tosses the hook again:
Ranged Grappling hook: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (6) - 6 = 0
But the wet rope slides through his hand and the hook bangs into the hull of the ship.
Hey, at least this time I got closer!
He tries one more time and manages to set the hook.
Ranged Grappling hook: 1d20 - 6 ⇒ (14) - 6 = 8
Hey, I did it! he sounds genially surprised.
He ties off the line and tries to climb.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Which promptly dumps him in the water.
Swim take 10
He manages to swim back to the boat.
Is that three tries or do the two grapple misses not count?
GM Foxy
Noonan throws the grappling hook.
Hook: 1d20 - 3 ⇒ (6) - 3 = 3
Reels it in and tries again.

Noonan makes it right before the rail before he gets a bucket of Fishguts stew from lastweek into the face and in disgust lets go of the rope.
GM Foxy
So Noonan swims back for another try.
Climb: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Lito is made for the fine arts and for knowledge. He proves that beyond doubt by trying again to climb the rope.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 10
And again.
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Which he fails on the first few feet of rope much to the laughter of the pirates who don't get the chance to throw stuff at him. Luckily the sea is calm, or he would also prove that he is not made for swimming.
But you know we're doing a campaign on water right? There were some traits to give you swim as class skill in the players guide.
Jarrus Darkhaven
Jarrus moves to the edges of the ship and leans with elbows on the railings and listens to Krine and watches some of the friends he's made on the ship splash into the water. After Krine's comments when those in the water look up he just shrugs defeatidly at their plight for not being able to make it across.
GM Foxy
After rowing for some time you reach a reef 200 feet north of the ship where the water is shallow. The waters are calm (DC 10 Swim checks) and clear. You approach a superb coral reef, measuring approximately 100 yards square, lying between 5 and 30 feet below the surface. Many crabs inhabit the reef.
It's a DC10 perception check to spot a crab and a DC10 Swim check to dive down to catch it.
Besmara __
"What a wonderful day! Out on the sea in the sun with this perfect reef. Have you seen these colourful fish? And these... what are these things growing on that?" The wards flow out of Besmara's mouth in awe.
Finally she stops looking for new exciting things of the reef but starts to actually look for crabs too and jumps in to get some.

Fell asleep since it's like 1am here
Jarrus climbed down into the boat thinking at least he'll be away from the crew for a bit. Once at the reef he does his part. He leaves his pistol on the boat since he'd prefer not to get the thing wet so he puts it under his seat then dives into the water.

From between the nice and beautiful corals come two spikey and clawy creatures who think that it's only fair that if you collect crabs to eat that they in exchange get to eat you. They look like spikey eels with claws attached instead of pectoral fins.
