Reiko starts forward, and then thinks better of it. He draws his katana, speaks a word of magic, and it begins to glow with that sinister red it always has when he's focusing his power into it. Then, he almost smirks, and takes off his overcoat, revealing his arms, and the gruesome scars on them. Anyone familiar will notice right away the arcane symbols and formulas normally found on a scroll. He speaks again, and one set begins to glow, and disappears, letter by letter, almost as if it's being read. His eye begin to glow, matching his blade, and he begins to grow in size as he calmly strides toward the beast. There will be only death in this place today. Yours... Not ours. Prepare yourself. He calls out, and as he speaks his voice gets deeper, more sinister, more... foreboding.

Antonio shot the creature from behind a bush.
Crossbow attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20 for a possible 1d8 ⇒ 8 piercing damage. If vulnerable to sneak attack damage add 2d6 ⇒ (1, 3) = 4 precision damage.

Then he dropped the crossbow and dashed towards a flanking position, drawing his sword along the way.

Baldek's eyes grow wide as he's easily picked up as he charges forth, then he smirks as he feels a thick coat of grease on his armour and starts to slip. "Aye! Tasty yes! Trouble with butter, is it makes it hard to pick your food!" he banters as he tries to slip away.

Nia, you're correct. It does normally require a will save to avoid blindness. Trust me - it makes it. You can try a roll for identifying it - roll high. I'll add the appropriate modifier.

Auric - you're grappled - light weapons only.

Ref: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Baldek squirms like a champ, and is rewarded by slipping out onto his rump. (I'll allow a reflex DC 15 to be on your feet.)

Aya - it doesn't seem to respond to the ray - at all.

Squuirrrmy dwwaarrrf!

Antonio's shot almost misses, but catches the thing unaware, so it draws blood.

It responds to the move, though.

Sakuro focused on her magic and sent out another wave of grease. This time, she splashed it onto Auric's armor, giving him the same benefits against grappling that she'd given to Baldek. She called on the wellspring of power within her empowering her words. Her voice carried over the din of battle.

"Strike it down quickly and keep those in close out of its clutches. Sakuro, keep up the great work. I am a bit confused as to what round we are on. I posted my round 1 action earlier, but it seems others have posted several rounds worth, so I'm going to go ahead and post my round 2 action now.

Round 2
Reiko looks to be in much better control of himself this go around, considering the last time he had enlarge person cast on him he went a little insane. This time, he appears to still be as calm and collected as he normally is. He charges forward at the beast, taking a wide swiping arc with his blade at what looks like a glitterdusted appendage, while also flanking with Baldek.

i think we're nearing the end of round 2... In round 1 Baldek and I got hit/grabbed, Sakuro greased Baldek, we both escaped the grapple, you enlarged, Antonio shot his crossbow and moved, and Aya used scorching ray; in round 2 (so far) Sakuro greased me and Baldek, Antonio, Reiko, and I all attacked the creature... Still to act in round 2- Aya, Alyra, and the monster...

so i think we're just waiting on round 2 actions from Alyra if she wants to do anything (i think she's down 15hp: 10 from me and 5 from Baldek), and Nia (who I believe was able to do everything she's done so far in just round 1). Auric is shocked by the force of the creature's blows. He calls out, "I could use a shield! Healing is an even more pressing concern!"

Thank Goldar for Alyra's constant healing, and for Baldek ignoring my urging to wait... I would not have survived if all those attacks were directed at me...

He summons his own healing energy once more and proceeds on the only course available to him... swinging his sword as hard as he can...

confirm crit: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (3) + 17 = 20,
for extra: 2d6 + 14 ⇒ (2, 2) + 14 = 18

i don't know what this creature is, but does it have to be grappling me to drink blood or is it just a regular attack roll? It's first attack missed me, and the second attack will miss if its a grapple check... if all it needed was one regular attack roll for 1d4 Con loss, then that is one super deadly monster (and I could super use restoration).

edit: I was going to post an action, but I think I'm going to wait for clarification first... also, is there a reason there's no confirmation roll against Reiko? (and, Antonio got greased in round 3, it was me in round 2 and Baldek in round 1)
