So the agreement is fantom will be locked in the hold for the next two days then thrown off the ship right before ya leave port?

I just need to know what I have to work with, if this is correct I'll move this along tonight

Sure, we'll keep her under a close watch, though (in case she tries anything funny).

So should we split up the proceeds from selling the Ring of Mind Shielding, as well?

Dark Archive

Asked this in the main thread but it seems it was missed

One thing Karkalla would want is more ammo for her repeater would she be able to get it here and if so how much would it cost?

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

sorry saw it but thought I replied to it yesterday as well. anyhow its in the 3rd post of this thread.

Cost of smaller bolts is an extra 4GP, the cost of 2 power increase is an extra 4 GP. so 8 gold extra on top of the norm costs. And house Cannaith can craft them with ease, as well as any other work ya would like done to your weapon.

Dark Archive

Okay then she will be buying 10 clips at 12 gold each for a total of a 120gp As well as a set of masterwork thieves tool's for 100gp

Grand Lodge

The ring is 8000GP so we can sell it for 4000GP. Dividing by 6 gives each of us another 666GP with a few left over.

Also, Seeker, I'll stock up on material to scribe into my spellbook.

Daurros will forgo a share of the ring, since he already got so much ...

Okay, everyone else can add 800 gp then.

If Daurros is amenable, Finn will ask him to get the materials to craft a headband of wisdom +2 and an amulet of natural armor +1.

Um, just in relation to this. Might the character get her falcata's back? Or should they be claimed their loss as a tax issue?

Sorry for a paucity of posting here. Time zone differences and all that.

And it's Fathom by the way, oh illustrious DM. =)

Cheers!

Weapons back? While in the hold? Fathom clearly is nuts... ;)

As for the money from the ring: That'd be another 800 I'd sponsor for the Stone to flesh-scroll.

Sorry, I should have highlighted that bit. =)

Fathom is touched. ;)

Her getting put in the hold is all okeys by me. Will she get bedding? Straw? Pillows? Blanket? Night light? :P

I'm still trying to work through what sort of things Daurros Erdai is going to 'see' inside her head. Lots of crashing wave symbolism, perhaps? ;)

Shall look up the spell...um, which one is it, by the way? Telepathy? Read Surface thoughts?

Much cheers to every one. =)

Grand Lodge

I almost forgot. I want to get a masterwork weapon and armor for Lirith and a masterwork longbow with +3 strength for myself.

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

If it's not time-critical, Guard could get to work on some of the things for Toxim.

Seeker:
How long should the next voyage take?
Did Guard find some fine wine, like I requested before? (2-3 bottles, about 50gp worth)

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

I purchased them as gifts for Lirith and a primary weapon for myself while in port.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

ya you found the wine, and next plan stop is roughly 2-3 weeks.

I'm a little confused by Ardanto's point of view (although maybe that's the point :-).

1) My understanding was that we're all passengers and he's the captain of the ship. We're not his crew, so I'm not sure why he thinks we should be following his orders.

2) Even if we're supposed to be following his orders for some reason, I can't think of a particular situation where he ordered something and we refused to do it.

Is it just a general "no one backed me up with Avner" situation that's causing his mopiness?

No one backing him up with Avner and some characters actively taking Avner's side was the final straw for Ardanto's frail little mind. But it is more to do with the general attitude towards him of most of the party and crew, I'll single out Finn as his is the easiest to see. If you read back on comments all the way from the introduction of Ardanto, Finn has only said a hand full of things which can be interpreted as neutral or better towards Ardanto. By far the majority of them are disrespectful, insulting or mocking. Now I don't expect Finn or Ardanto to get on and be best buddies as they are diametrically opposed alignments and I have played Ardanto as a nut case where ever possible. But Ardanto has had enough of every one mocking, questioning or ignoring what he says or does, so he ain't going to do anything with out being asked.
Add onto this that he knows he is in the wrong with Avner and knows that Avner has brought his new warforged boyfriend along in order to push Ardanto into a fight.

In a nut shell, he has had a tantrum and thrown his toys out of the pram, kicked his teddy bear and is sulking in the corner with his arms folded and his bottom lip dragging on the deck.

Of course no-one knows any of this, because no one apart from Karkella and Guard have asked him, and he refused to answer Karkella because she is also one of the main culprits and was interrupted from speaking with Guard.

Mocking, I get; I can understand being unhappy about the disrespect. But what has been questioned or ignored other than the beating of Avner? It's specifically the "disobeying orders" part (that Avner has brought up several times) that's confusing me. Maybe I missed a post somewhere (it happens...sometimes I skim a bit).

The questioned or ignored part only really applies to the Avner incident as I don't think he has given any orders since or before then. You have Karkella to thank for that part of his psychosis as she went directly against what both Toxim and Ardanto were saying to row Avner to the Blue Nixie, ungrateful wench. :-)

Makes sense, thanks!

Posters, sorry for the threadjack...

Bryan,

You mentioned in a different thread that you live in Clinton Township. There is a local Pathfinder Society group starting next month in Macomb, northwest part of the county. If you are interested in joining (the players are mostly still 1st and 2nd level) please consider joining our Yahoo! Group or contacting me at pfs.rc.detroit@gmail.com. This is my only means to contact you, sorry for the intrusion into your discussion.

Which she specifily did to avoid getting the two of them hung.

OK Blood of vol info for those who do not know eberron

The Blood of Vol cult attracts followers fascinated by death and the undead. The most dedicated of these revere an ancient lich who calls herself Vol, Queen of the Dead. The Blood flows into the distant past, through the earliest days of human civilization on Khorvaire, to the elf kingdom of Aerenal, and even to Xen’drik, the continent of secrets. Vol and her followers see undeath as a path to divinity. They are captivated by the figurative and literal meaning of blood and by heredity, This cult is common in Karnnath and many commoners who fear death embrace the Blood of vol as a means to vanquish death.

In your eyes you saved Ardanto, in his eyes you stabbed him in the back after all he had done for you.

Don't you go expecting him to be all rational.

On a related note, super descriptions Seeker, I am scared and I am not the one down there, alone in the dark, with only a dagger.

Which means you may well miss us having to stick a stake through your heart........

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

About that Incarnate Weapon summoning or something, here's the text from the rules:

Quote:

...

If your incarnate weapon leaves your hand for any reason, it returns to your grasp at the beginning of your next turn. If that's impossible, it falls at your feet (but attempts to return again next turn).
...

So it seems like Guard is unable to even put the weapon down deliberately, though I wager that was intended only for 'during combat' situations.

Else the weapon would have followed me through Greenrock

Anyway, your call.

Word of warning, the shop steamer blew up yesterday and spiked the mains. It killed the printer, the laptop power supply and the mouse plugged into the usb port. The laptop is acting real strange since then, locking up for long periods, Blue screens of Death, random reboots. I am praying that it is only corrupt drivers and not damage to the 5 volt circuit or any of the micro electrics.

So if I suddenly disappear, you know why.

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

hope things are better andy

and Woot 5k posts

I have a functioning laptop, although it locks up, freezes and has a fair few BSOD, it (touch wood) seems like it is not going to deteriate any more.

5000 posts, that is mental.

Just a heads up, if you want Ardanto to be more effective in melee, the enlightened characters who know about magic items need to give him information on what items he can buy. Ardanto knows nothing about magic, which is why his choices are limited to copies of things he has seen or items he has found.

Anyone who wants to hint about burning or freezing weapons would be a great start.

I know we have missed this chance, but I assume there will be future possibilities to buy items.

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

"Hey Ardanto -- there are magic weapons capable of burning or freezing or being extra-sharp that you might want to invest in," Finn remarks casually. "I'll send you the catalog later."

You're welcome. :-P

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

Daurros reaches into his pack and retrieves an eldritch tome, handing it to Ardanto. It reads "Pathfinder Core Rulebook". "My friend, I suggest you investigate chapter 15 of this book." :-D

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

"Funny, Daurros..." Finn looks thoughtful. "When we started our adventures together, I could have sworn it was called 'Ye Guide for thee Mastering of Donjons'. Times change..."

Sorry for the slow updates this week guys, this has been a busy and rather odd week for me.

I'll cut you some slack, considering you've kept the game alive for 2.5 years so far. :-)

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

heh yesterday was a fun one. I got in bed at like 3 am tues night and got woke up at like near 5 am by my bro calling to tell me he was on the side of the road somewhere in northern ky and his wheel was gone.

It didn't go flat, no no. It was gone. It flew off the car at some point. So I got a make a trip that was just over 2.5 hours one way pick him and his gf up, come back home, pick up my cuz then make a trip to get the part then make a trip all the way back up there in the rain to fix said car then we got to drive back on a may pop,....lovely

I did find the missing tire and rim, but the tire was shot. We had to replace all his lugnuts and the studs for the tire and the rotary was kinda rough, but all in all not to bad for the wheel flying off.

heh anyhow that was how I spent my Wednesday :) So I came home and crashed.

I do thanks ya guys for sticking around this long, even when I am slow to update at times :)

Yikes! I hope your brother and his car are okay -- losing a wheel has got to cause some problems with how the car handles, I suspect!

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

No it drove fine, we drove back 130 miles or so and it handled fine. The fender is of coarse damaged and we are gonna Chang the rotor as it is damaged a bit but all in all not bad. I thought it would have done way more damage then that but not bad all in all.

Grand Lodge

I've had that happened before. Not a good thing. It's weird how that kind of thing never happens just outside of your house. No, it has to happen when you're as far from home as you've been in 2 years. My heart goes out to you.

Has that stomach bug that has been doing the rounds, so missed a few days, on the mend now but wow have I been ill. I got entered into the 2012 London Olympics under the Projectile Vomiting discipline, they think I am good for Bronze at least.

Fem Elf Bard 3

*hugz* Good to have you back, mate. :)

Glad to hear you're back in fighting trim. Hope your bug didn't take too much out of you.

Cheers!

male Human 8th level seeker/6th level gamer /4th level bad speller

ouch man, hope you get feeling better.

Sorry for not posting for such a while, but I have a few concerns/problems.

1) I was/am unsure as to the characters state of consciousness. Having talked with the DM, they assure me that once back to positive HP the character can awaken.

2) Who the character was last with or where the character is currently in the game. Is it being carried?

Again, sorry for not seeming to 'be there' for folks. Real Life can slow a person down as well. *bows*

Dark Archive

Once a character is back to positive hit points they are automatically concious again (unless you decided not to be.

As for who you were last with I would imagine it was Karkalla since she was the one that brought you into positive hp and we seem to have re-wound the entire grab Fathom and run down the street part.
