Lost 1 silver there, now rocking 9
"I need to get Sauls attention, s othat he'll hire me here. If you can help me with that I'll do what i can to help you win this tournament. I'll still expect some pay though. 30-70?. As far as my soul goes........." continued in next post, after i get my answer from jacob
jacob did they allow us to bring in our weapons?
yes. unspoken agreement. anyone can bring in what ever but no causing trouble. at least.. that
s how it's been.
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
".....the devil may find it harder to take my soul than he thinks"
Kazalin pats his weapons
Male Human Wizard/1
"I would simply tell you, that I have the resources needed to hehe... cheat the devil"
Two lovely ladies walk up to the two of you (sucubii) everyone else has already started gambling. Why don't you two handsome gentlemen try a bit of your luck? Wouldn't want to get Devils Mark this early would you? and with that both girls make kissy faces at the both of you.
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
"You'll have to explain this job offer to me after the tournament is over. For now let us gamble" Kazalin leads Uleoraque away from the sucubii. "How do we do it?"
Male Human Wizard/1
Uleoraque casts message on Kazalin. "Let me confess, I'm a con-man at a gambling tournament. I didn't expect to play fair, I have a spell for this,"
Male Human Wizard/1
I leave for the restroom, all the while communicating with Kazalin my plan. I cast Disguise self, to appear a full foot shorter.
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
are you going to let me know what the plan is then so i can act on it??
Male Human Wizard/1
I'm going to glance over at people's cards and telepathically communicate what they are to you. Since I look like I'm a foot shorter, I can look over people's shoulders while they think I'm a lot shorter. My charmed wench will help us to and I'll be telepathically communicating with her too.
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
"Anything to win Sauls attention"
Male Human Wizard/1
"Your a strange one hehe," "I'll call that wench over here in a minute..." Uleoraque casts message on the charmed succubi from earlier.
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
Male Human Wizard/1
"Ha!, I'd agree with that. That's probably why we're working together"
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
"Lets get started, before we fall too far behind"
Jacob, what kind of bonus are we getting for doing this??
Message only lasts 10 min per caster level. same with disguise self. i'll give you a +5. But the average game lasts 5 minutes. So I'll give you +5 the first game. and +2 the second since his message and disguise will wear off in the middle of the second.
Male Human Wizard/1
I'm going to fake going to the bathroom before disguise self wears off so I don't randomly grow a foot in the middle of a game. During which time I will re-cast message on both targets.
I meant take a second bathroom break* Have the wench roll to see if she is actually charmed.
Andrew Breidenbach wrote: I meant take a second bathroom break* Have the wench roll to see if she is actually charmed. I did. You are unaware of the results though
Male Pitborn Tielfing Cleric of Iomedea/1
we dont need her anyway lets get this done
andrew you do know you only have a limited amount of cantrips per day also right...
Kazalin sits down and begin gambling with the help of Ule
gamble check: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
im assuming andrew let me that 70 gold so ill bet 35. if not ill bet 7 of my silver
Male Human Wizard/1
Uleoraque casts message on the wench. "Would you please come help and make sure no one at our table is cheating? That would make me feel much better."
Male Human Wizard/1
Gamble: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
If James rolls high, I will only stake a little bit as to not oppose his luck.

Male Human Wizard/1

[occ] james gets a total of 84 gold and andrew looses everything he staked. [/ooc]
the "wench" (XD lol) looks around for a moment. And then goes back to flirting and teasing other participants of the tournament.
Male Human Wizard/1

"Gods damn her, she is immune to my charms"
Between games Uleoraque goes back into the bathroom to refresh his message spell and walks out with a hunch to compensate for his gained height from dispelling his Disguise Self.

Andrew if you have sleight of hand you should see if you can deal the deck towards me. only do it once or something so we don't get caught but it may work. Anyway if we succeed the bluff checks we get +5 to gambling! for now im off to work. hopefully jay and alex will have posted by the time i'm home and clean!
One last thing andrew...spell focus that enchantment magic! ;)
Male Human Wizard/1
Oh my god did I fail by 1!!! I'm working up the use of a mage hand too don't worry. When I was looking at people's hands, my head was a foot higher up that it appeared, therefore it would be almost impossible to tell if I was cheating.

[wow time to play catch up]
last night was wild one at the tavern I summoned a fiddle and attempted to get the crowd going (rolled a 6 + 4 from being trained in perform so 10). They seemed like a descent crowd except for an elf who walked out making faces at me, but I didn't care cause he stumbled into the door. As the night got on the drunken crowd seemed to come alive with stomping and dancing in the middle of the floor with the tables pushed aside.
The next morning I went in to do the usual work of cleaning up after the nights mess. Once i was done i wondered what to do while studying the blot in the sky.
search check 10+4 (perception trained)=14
Kraven enters the Golden Goblin. He walks up to the Succubi and asks, What if I have already sold my soul? HAR HAR HAR!!! He then good naturedly slaps her on the shoulder. He then signs the contract. He asks Is the devil part of the prize? It would be a fantastic addition to my... collection.
BTW this is taking place before the competition starts. Still not sure how the dice rolls work, so someone should help me with the gambling.
to gamble, Alex, you roll either the skill "Profession Gambler" which you don't have, or a straight up Charisma check. You decide what you're betting BEFORE you determine your dice check. Then I'll tell you how well you did. Also Andrew you didn't fail by one :P she got a natural 20. Jay and Alex each should do 1-3 gambles because that's how much time you have to catch up if you are not going to do any role playing.
Male half-elf bard lvl1
4s- rolled 13 + 2 Charisma=15
14s- rolled 13 + 2=15 again
10s- rolled 11 + 2=13
btw you have to buy tokens to bet. so that 4s is actually 4 Silver Tooth(Teeth)
From all you gambling you spent 28 Silver Teeth. from the first gamble you spent 4, and walked away with 5. the second you spent 14 and walked away with 17. from the last you spend 10 and walked away with 8. so all in all. you Spent 28 and walked away with 30. not bad IMO.
Male half-elf bard lvl1
so how do you buy tokens with gold?
if you go back into the contract it says. Or actually just look at where I was telling Andrew how to win. Good tokens are like golden teeth or eyes or something like that
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18 Im betting 1 gp.
HAR HAR HAR 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Im betting 5sp.
Finally, 10 sp. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Oh and I forgot to use my new avatar. Sorry homies.
From Alex's first bet he walks away with 1 Gold Eye and 50 Silver Teeth.
From his second bet he lost all 3 of the silver teeth that he bet.
From the third,he bet 10 Silver Teeth and walked away with 22 Silver Teeth.

Kazalin winks at Ule and sits down at another game to gamble, setting 10 gold tokens on the table gamble check: 1d20 ⇒ 1

Male Human Wizard/1
w/e, I was referring to the telepathy actually
I bet 10 GP
Bluff: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Profession Gamble: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (15) + 0 = 15
