I didn't know about Cook People. Vank is happy to have his dinner cooked by you (:
I don't mind which one you take. Even if you want Cook People you can wait a bit before taking Cauldron if you want

Stanislav Greymist |

I am unsure how much down time we will have, but in general love crafting feats. If we have little to no down time, it would not be worth it in the short term and Misfortune is much better. Its so good regardless since it always works for at least a short time. In a couple rounds you can lower to hit and ac of an opponent, effectively lowering its CR by 1 or 2.

Big OM |

I have only skimmed over the hexes you name Nadine. Stricly speaking Cauldron is giving you the brew potion feat and that only allows you to use spells you know, as I understand it. I am leaning towards not allowing you to share spells with others none witches in regards to this hex.
I am not sure what you would like me to think about in regards to the Poison steep hex.
Cook people, go nuts, you are evil for once.

Nadine Laveau |

Let's do it. Nadine will take Cauldron Hex. Lots of her spells aren't things you might want a potion of, but we'll see how this goes.
OM, any thoughts about my previous question to make a custom trait? Maybe Extend spell free on a specific spell? I'd love quicken, but I think that's a bit powerful.

Stanislav Greymist |

Nadine - Ideas for potions for you from looking at your spells- Comprehend Languages, Enlarge Person, Infernal Healing, and Mage Armor.
Loot - Do we have a list of treasures gained from our little mission? And do we get to keep all that we found?
Training: Stanislav ends up speeding less time doing physical training that he had planned. And he takes to training mostly at night, becoming more nocturnal. He actively avoids the sun at all times. He looks more sickly and pale. Its obvious he is not in perfect health and is, in fact slowly dying. When he is sickened from the sun or just fatigued he spends time studying and in research. His time is divided equally in martial and mental advancement.

Nadine Laveau |

You know I'll just take the +1CL on Vomit Swarm. That actually sounds quite dreadful!

Vank Stormfist |

I think we are all ready to move on. Bow really enjoying role playing with you all.

Vank Stormfist |

no problem, take your time (:

Vank Stormfist |

Hate that. Someone at work yesterday unplugged the router to plug in a toaster. I spent an hour trying to work out what I could do without internet/network before discovering the problem.

Stanislav Greymist |

I am not laughing at you Vank, I am laughing at whoever did that. lol.
So, will the group be able to accommodate Stanislav's new preference for a nocturnal schedule? Sunlight now sickens him. If its a problem to do so now, I suspect real problem at 5th level when the sunlight will actually kill him.

Nadine Laveau |

It depends on what the Cardinal has in store for us. I think our evil characters would probably prefer working at night anyway.
Though, if we can get you an item that casts this at will, then you'd be fine. Not sure if the cantrip version would help you right now or not.
If Nadine can learn the spell, she can make you potions of it, though they would only last 30 minutes right now. Even with an Extend Metamagic, 10 minute/level isn't going to get you much.

Stanislav Greymist |

You guys are very accommodating. You do know that now and again I may have to feed on one of you, right? :)

Vank Stormfist |

Darkness is fine, in fact better than that. All the rest of you weakling should get biten and learn to see in the dark.
Actually that is a point if you feed from us do we start becoming a vampire too?
Either way I'm sure we can drag around some food for you.

Robert Findlay |

Uh....perhaps you fail to grasp just how good I will be at persuasion.
"Come with me, my dear..." is a very good method to obtain food supplies. And modify memory / dominate / suggestion is well within the realm of possibility.

Stanislav Greymist |

Lets move on to the next part of the game. Now that Stanislav is dying, he is in a hurry to get it over with. :)

Stanislav Greymist |

Such is life, and unlife. Perhaps some magical aid can be obtained. Maybe potions of the spell Cloak of Shade could be purchased? I think this could help until level 5, when sunlight actually does damage. There may even be clothing that could help at this point in the disease? Or maybe some permanent darkness spell similar to ever burning torch could be obtained? With this it could be used when we are fighting at least. It would attract too much attention to just have it out all the time.
What I really need is "Protective Penumbra" which luckily is a second level cleric, oracle, sorcerer, wizard and witch spell.

Stanislav Greymist |

Yes, any cleric could do so. But even at the Cardinal's level it would likely last at most a couple of hours. I think by 5th level I will need a supply of scrolls of the spell to have with us. And if I could get a potion of it brewed I would buy a supply of them. :)

Stanislav Greymist |

It is only sunlight Nadine. Normal light, even bright is fine. Even the Daylight spell is fine. It is only sunlight that will now sicken, and later kill Stanislav.

Vank Stormfist |

Sickened is annoying but not fatal. By the time we are 5th we need to find or make an item to protect you since we'll struggle to cast enough spells to keep you safe at that point. Let's worry about it later and now try to stick to the dark when we can.

Stanislav Greymist |

I wanted to give a heads up that I'll be traveling from Wednesday through Sunday (going to Gen Con) and my posting will be limited. I'll still try to check this game at least once a day, but will likely be posting from a phone when I do post.

Vank Stormfist |

Big OM I know you are busy. Is there anything we need to do or would be hopeful to do before we get restarted?

Big OM |

I don't think so. I have the same problem I had when the other group reached this point. A fairly simple write up became a dreaded assignment, that I never ended up completing and we just skipped over it. I had hoped this would have been different, but so far it hasn't been.
Lets say that if I haven't written something by the end of this weekend we'll press on.

Vank Stormfist |

I understand. In one of my other games two of the other players write page long posts. I look at what they have written and know at the time of checking that I don't have time to write something adequate so leave it, and then I end up behind. Its usually better to write something short when I check it rather than letting build up into something dreaded. After all we are here to have fun not add to our stress.

Big OM |

Just to be crystal clear Timeon is not from the castle Balentyne, he is from a the Balentyne line but lived with his family further away. His father has nothing to do with the current mission, but if you wish you can go there first but it will cost time to do so.
He can draw you a crude map.
In regards to impersonating him there will be people who know him and fooling them will be more difficult.

Stanislav Greymist |

Well, I am headed off tomorrow for DragonCon and will not be back until Monday night. I'll have a laptop and should be abel to post most days but likely not more than once a day. Please bot me if you need to. Everyone have a good Labor Day weekend.

Stanislav Greymist |

Back from DragonCon. Had a good time, but did not sleep much. Ready to pick up here when Big OM is back.

Big OM |

Welcome back Stanislav
In regards to equipment.
Nadine I have no problem with you bringing reagents for potions that are not required ingredients, e.g. tongues are fine 500 gp worth of diamond dust is not.
Stanislav I am a little confused by your request. How are you asking?
There is unfortunately no "Q".
I know this is somewhat light on equipment, do you have anything left you want to sell? If so this might be the last chance.

Stanislav Greymist |

Mostly I am admitting that I have done a poor job keeping up with what we have found. Is there a treasure list? What do we have to divvy up or sell?
