Let me know if I'm being too much of a stickler for details, but I looked it back up, cause I didn't think I was misremembering. FH did say "a pair of officers, a specialist and a sargent". It had stuck with me, because I wasn't sure who would play the role of Specialist better, Dern or Gir. I'm happy either way, though canonically, Zinnius seems a better fit, given he has actual history serving in a military force.

You're right. I think the length of the original confusion about ranks muddied the waters somewhat.

Topical. The copy editor in me cringes at some of the stuff that got missed, but all in all a great read.

On a scale of 1 to Fred Durst, how lame would it be if I got this tattoo?

That is a BEAUTIFUL tattoo, but I think it would not go over well with the ladies unless you were dating a hardcore mass effect fan.

Is Fred Durst the high-end or low-end of the lame scale?

Also, shouldn't her eyes be solid black if she's embracing eternity?

I think it's pretty darned cool, but I also agree with Freehold.

Okay, this might be stupid of me, but I don't get what's going on with ammunition. Looks like it's handled via stunts and aspects. Like, rather than track ammunition, your weapon can get the OUT OF AMMO condition and you have to spend an action to reload? So we don't have to purchase or track ammunition for firearms?

Because if we need ammunition, I want to pick some up for my predator pistol.

Treppa wrote:

OK, you've pushed me back off the fence. I had the idea a long while back, and a buddy of mine has been egging me on to get it.

Fred Durst is about as lame as you can get.

I see nothing about tracking ammo. Which makes sense since Mass Effect firearms never need to reload ammo. They do, however, require thermal clips to allow for heat dispersion.

Celestial Healer wrote:

The history nerd / gun hobbyist in me cringes every time someone mentions thermal clips. Clips and magazines are not the same thing. And it's a moot point anyway, because even though it looks like a magazine, it functions more like a cartridge, and it's actually a heat sink. Speaking of which, why not just call them heat sinks? It's right in the description, and it's easier to say.

Clearly they should have let a Salarian name them.

indeed, there is no need for ammo count, being out of ammo is a condition that means you lose a turn as you reload. It reminds me of shadowrun that way, or at least a shadowrun game I was in once where weapons exploded or overheated if you botched/glitched twice in a row. This *should* make for more cinematic play.

Cool. I just didn't want to get in the middle of the fight and be told "sorry you don't have any ammo" because I was too dumb to understand the equipment list.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Grace is... not great at the whole "not getting shot" thing. And the whole "staying conscious enough to finish the mission" thing. Or maybe I just suck at video games. Either way, it explains where those shrapnel scars came from.

Getting better at the whole "not getting shot" thing "still getting shot a bunch but not dying as much because I'm almost at the level cap" thing.

Do you play on Casual? I do, and I am not afraid to admit it. You can still get yourself killed if you're not careful.

On the current playthrough I have successful turned the collector base over to Cerberus. I had to take a break from renegading it and am replaying Dragon Age Inquisition before I go back and finish ME3 as a renegade.

To date, the biggest renegade thing I could not bring myself to do was kill Samara. That was just too wrong. But I could sell Legion for parts, working on the premise that Shep doesn't know how awesome Legion is at that point and doesn't know better.

Celestial Healer wrote:

Depending on whether or not I'm importing a character, I switch between Casual/Narrative and Normal.

Something I've noticed about multiplayer is that success really boils down to how competent your squad is. If you've got more than one cowboy on your team, or if everyone immediately splits the party, you're just f~$$ed, even on Bronze difficulty. On the other hand, if everyone works together, even if they're low-level or newbies, things tend to go OK. The biggest rule of thumb for ME3 multiplayer is to always use the buddy system. Always. Or you WILL get killed.

Also, enemy spawn points are random, so sometimes you eat the b'ar, and sometimes the b'ar eats you.

much like in the game itself(at least in 2 and 3) where the dropship lands will be the point of investigation.

no worries. As soon as you give the word the ship will take off and you will arrivr.at a destination to explore. Dice will be rolled, things will occur, you will either shoot your way out or make new friends. It'll be the feel good landing of the year.

So I've been thinking how to RP Hestia, because she's a rather difficult character for me to play, and realized that she's waaaay more f#~%ed up than I intended. In fact, Grace may be her only hope at redemption/saving, unless something happens in-game to change her. Yikes.

I can't find the manual for the personal shield generator. If it's appropriate to activate/put it on now before we get into trouble, then Hestia will do so. Otherwise, she has it on but not activated. Blarg.

I'm working under the assumption that Twizzlers and Chicken McNuggets still exist in the future. A future without them would be bleak indeed.

With regard to flashlights, the rules seem to imply that most mundane gear is handwaved away. I don't expect that we are meant to be foiled by a lack of windows.

Yeah, exactly. Don't forget, there are (or were) insects in some red dyes.

Also sorry for the delay, some nonsense occurred and may still be occurring with respect to convention coming up this week as well as 4th of July celebrations. Long story short, my nephew arrived a day late fur to my grandmother in law not wanting him to leave her alone for a month, I got to see exactly 4 fireworks and shoved a few hot dogs down my throat, I will be driving a new type of uhaul to the con on Thursday and I am more nervous about that than perhaps I should be. However I may meet Legion at the con, so that thought keeps me motivated, along with the fact that this is my nephews first con as well as the first one where I am kinda in charge(sorta kinda).
