Frankenstory, indeed! No wonder it took a bit of time to compile.
I think it works well with a few backstory changes. Bravo!
I've just started ME3 so am not yet familiar with the ending. Would it make sense for Cerberus to have brought Hestia and her Crew to Earth to fight the reapers, then the Cerberus troops got the kids to the safe house when they collapsed after synth life was destroyed, there to be discovered by the quarian?
The Cerberus troops could have perished in the fighting after, leaving only the kids and maybe a med or two in the shelter.
I'm thinking she was raised IN the bunker, by a somewhat caring staff that was in the dark with respect to not just Cerebus' methods but just how close the Reapers were to Earth. I'm thinking they would have been killed in the blast leaving the kids to be raised on their own by VI for a while until things really started to break down. Then they would have been discovered by the quarian.

Ooh, that's a really big change from them being basically kid bodies with adult AI in their heads, having a pretty decent childhood, and being taken into battle regularly once the Collectors/Reapers showed up. If that's the way you need it to run, I will rewrite. But once the AI was destroyed, the kids went into shock and were out of it for a while, until discovered and "rescued".

Oh no, please dont make massive changes to your storyline on my account. I was thinking something a bit differently than you were, but there's no reason to make it mold my thought processes. The only thing I am worried about game wise is how everyone met up in the past and how they become a team in the beginning of the game and their first mission. Everything else in your backstory is up to you!

EXCELLENT NAMES, Mr Mallon. I love it. If possible I would go back and put them into the Frankenstory.

Most of them I actually stole from your story. The only ones I didn't were "The Specialist" (which I lifted from CH's character sheet), and "The Experiment."

ME 3 is weird. You get reputation for butting into peoples' private conversations.
The only rep you should get from that is "Shhh, here comes Shepard again. Pretend we're not talking."
But who wouldn't want Space Jesus to mediate their personal disputes?

And why so much ME3 lens flare? Did JJ Abrams make this one?
I'm guessing that the lens flare (along with the barely-there-but-noticeable film grain effect) was to add to the whole retro sci-fi vibe. From a design standpoint, the whole series is one big love letter to Syd Mead, and by extension the design sensibilities of 1980s neo-futurism.

Now that I've done the Grissom Academy mission, I understand why my char fits in well with them; however, my assumption is that Cerberus would have no hesitation at jamming an AI into newborns' heads and trying to evoke biotic powers early. Before the death of her AI, she would have been more powerful than the Grissom kids, and perfectly synchronized with her team. Now, though, she's ordinary, and it annoys her no end.
I hate to say it, but if Cerberus was aligned with the Reapers, her squad may have been on Earth to quash human resistance. :(

Thankfully then Cerberus is human supremacist. They fought the reapers with a different goal but they still fought.
Yeah I give up... Fate doesn't make any sense. My character (who seems so full of potential) simply won't fit into the paint by numbers role play box you are forced to use to play Fate. And yes forced is the correct word since success is built around the refresh mechanic and tied to role playing the way they want you to...
I really wish I could play... but Fate is just going to drive me insane with its RP & anti-RP way of doing things.

no, it is a training program for the elite of alliance, much like n6 training. N7 isn't a program so much as a rank denoting extreme bravery/grace under fire/you saved the mayor's wife and daughter twice.

I'm sorry to hear that aranna...fate is a weird system and I guess it isn't for everyone. I'm still trying to understand parts of it myself, but it really seems to be a "storytellers game" system unlike pathfinder, which encourages the players to know as much(if not more) than the DM and the book is right at the end of the day despite vociferous Rule 0 bleating. Fate, much like high level world of darkness, requires a lot of trust in the DM if not out and out collaboration so that storylines are birthed and ended to everyone's satisfaction.
With your permission then, I would like to turn your character into an npc, who will be the party's liason with their contact. I would still love to know any personalquirks she has and her opinion on the state of the galaxy and these new players on the scene, especially as she is intelligence.

Sadness. I find it more RP-oriented than other systems. :(

I find it RP-focused as well, and a bit intimidating to be honest. It's very different from any RPG I've played so far, so I'm hoping things go well. :)

Do we want to use the bolded dialog convention or leave everything normal? I typically see italicized internal dialog/though bubbles. What's everyone think?
considering how heavy roleplaying this system seems to be, I'd say bolded words are important for speech. Italic is for thoughts. Spoiler questions for the DM.

I like your posts. Some people put a lot of detail in, others don't. I find them all interesting.
If you are looking to emphasize a word, you can use the markup within already marked-up text. For example, you can italicize a word in speech that is already bolded, and it works fine. Vice versa in thought bubbles.

Right there with you.
A friend once said that I write fiction like an autistic patent lawyer, or possibly a more esoteric (but less imaginative) H.P. Lovecraft.
"Here is a sequence of events. And here is the result of the sequence of events. Here is my list of adjectives. Dialog is for human beings only. Are you entertained by my proficiency?"
