I had to call it quits for the weekend after it. He wasn't my favourite, but he was high up there, and it was so upsetting.
Speaking of, and finally able to say it, curse the name you posted your background under CH! I can't hear that line without thinking of that scene anymore. :'(

Say, I just realized Hestia has Intimidate as a skill, which probably would have been appropriate when facing down the rutting louts. Would you prefer we roll things as appropriate, DM, or do you want us to wait for you to call for rolls?
roll as appropriate - this FATE system really seems to rely heavily upon interpretation, so if I'm lost, I'll ask for an explanation.

Also, if it must be stated, please do not look under the spoilers unless expressly directed/your name is on them!
Probably no harm in mentioning it. I've read PbP's recreationally previously, so I was somewhat used to just looking under every spoiler. :P Will keep my prying eyes to my own. :)
Btw, I assume the GM reads all spoilers? There is nothing unknown to the GM after all, aye?

Treppa wrote:Was the Grissom Academy revived after the Reapers were defeated?iirc, it is folded into alliance military depending on what Shepard says.
Going back to this quickly, which way did Shepherd go in this game? Similarly, this has gotten me wondering about certain other decisions. In case Treppa isn't finished ME3 yet, I'll spoiler them.
- Obviously Wrex was spared, as clan Ordnot is the leading power on Thuchanka.
- Shiala and the Zhu's Hope colonists were probably saved, given the Zhu's Hope Thorians (that name is incredibly worrying, the more I think of it).
- The Rachni queen? Seeing as they weren't in the history post, I'm guessing they're not around. Way too big to miss otherwise.
- Whether Kaidan or Ashley are alive, though I imagine we're unlikely to meet either.
- Who, if anyone, died during the suicide mission. I'm guessing no-one atm.
- Whether the Collector Base was destroyed or not. Given the Destroy main ending we're using as canon, I'm guessing he destroyed it though.
- The Genophage was obviously cured, so that's that one.
- From a character history, whether Tali was exiled or not, though given that the Geth were supposed to be helping the Quarians, I assume that whole scenario went as best as it could.
- Whether Shepherd actually survives or not.
We're unlikely to know the majority of them, but still interesting food for thought.

I thought ME3 got pretty much panned, but I have to say that (overall) I am enjoying it. The plotting is good, the tweaks they made to gameplay are generally an improvement, and the character followup is pretty nice. Kai Leng is a bit of a fanboi artifact and Cerberus has gone right whacko off the rails, but I guess that's integral to the whole "a splinter group of indoctrinated fought to control the Reapers" theme. I understand some people found the ending unsatisfying, but I must say I'm enjoying the game. Even the side quests are important towards victory points, instead of "taxi my old auntie to the doctor on Sanctuary while you're saving the galaxy, please".

I always wait until most of the DLC is released to play pretty much any game, and ME3 was no exception. I'm really glad, too, because the game was pretty f%@#ed-up on release. It was buggy as f#*@, and it felt like chunks of the plot had been ripped out in order to get the game done by deadline (EA is famous for this). The ending literally made one of my PF players so depressed that she missed class for a week. Thankfully, the fans & Bioware staff managed to convince EA to let them finish and release the missing parts of the game for free as the Extended Cut DLC. Pre-patch, though... yikes.

I hope you have the Citadel DLC. That was out of control awesome.
ME3 was my favorite too. I don't get the hate, although a lot of it may be based on the original release, as Dave said.

I didn't have the DLC (since it's all downloading now), but I thought the ending was pretty awesome. Anybody who thought it would be shiny and happy after all those long goodbyes... well, they must have skipped out on Interpreting Foreshadowing 101. There were some oddities with the ending - for example, Garrus was in my party rushing the beam to the Citadel, but somehow he exited the Normandy at the end. But all in all, it was a noble death and satisfying wrapup.
Now to replay with the DLC! <3 Plus, it gives me the chance to fix her eyebrows, which somehow showed up bright gray on the imported face, while everything else was dark brown. Bugged me the whole time.

Your party members do survive, even if they were rushing the beam with you. Shep and Anderson are really the only ones who make it to the Citadel, so the rest are picked up from the ground, apparently.
Anyway, I love the Citadel DLC.

I watched a few clips of Citadel DLC and will have to buy it (I only put in freebies). I saw the ladder/46 shots clip and thought it was hilarious. I think they incorporated playtester/QA protests into the dialog for that module. The clips made it look like a slapstick kind of module, which I hope it isn't.

It gets a little gonzo, but not in a bad way. I think what's cool about it is it puts you in situations you never find yourself in normally.
