Ceren ponders this for a moment. "Perhaps I shall pronounce it TOE-meh-TOE" She adds heavy emphasis on the first and last syllables. "It shall do. Now then..."

A small group of thugs begin to approach as you follow her along the path. "Seriously? It's her? Never woulda guessed it if you lot didn't go marchin over... well then! Drop ye'r weapons and surrender Ceren and... aww forget it..."

He and his companions open fire.

GM Screen:

Lucky: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
Pangea: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17
Kai: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Domaya: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Chogas: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Theshe: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (6) + 0 = 6
Thugs: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Round 1:
Lucky
Chogas
Pangea
Kai
Domaya

Thugs
Theshe

Map is updated. Also, I included Theshe on the initiative in case he can sneak in an action somewhere since 3/4 missions is significantly more credit than 2/4. Theshe, feel free to post a planned action even if it isn't your turn. I'll work it in.

Oh dear, we're surrounded! Domaya exclaims. She points at the green thug on the eastern edge of the bridge. That one. We'll take that one!

Move Action to perform Get 'Em on the green thug

Using Get 'Em Improvisation as move action. Everyone gets +1 to attack roll on Green Thug.

She then shoots at the thug herself

Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)

Gamma spins around, and moves to the edge of the bridge.
The android generates arcane power via its comm link, sucking heat from the nearby bodies and devices... before venting it outward in a thermal wave that engulfs the two thugs.

Hunting Rifle @ Green: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (19) + 4 + 1 = 24
Piercing: 1d8 ⇒ 8

With a binaric pulse she directs Sparky to help out Gamma.

Hunting Rifle @ Red: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Piercing: 1d8 ⇒ 7

Y'know, I've gotta say. The only thing lower than taking out a hit on an old lady is actually being the sump-sucking wretches willing and able to do the job this badly.

Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 231d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

The 2 thugs approaching from the west see Pangea coming and duck back into a defensive pose, narrowly avoiding complete conflagration. The one approaching from the east fares much worse. Domaya calls out a target and fires a marking shot at him. Lucky takes a second shot and leaves the thug barely able to stand. Sparky fires on one of the lightly toasted thugs, leaving it in similar shape.

I will assume that a 24 will hit his KAC, and thus this critical hit confirms.

damage: 2d12 + 6 ⇒ (1, 9) + 6 = 16

Her weapon smashes into the foe, knocking him off his feet and leaving him broken, bloody, and dying. "Do we need them alive?"

Well that's a nice barrage... also note for future Starfinder play. When an enemy hits -1 hp, they are DEAD. The ONLY way to KO someone via damage without killing them is to do nonlethal damage on the final shot. In this case... well... they attacked first! Sucks to be them.

Obozaya rushes forward, cleaving a horrid gash in one of the thugs. As the thug collapses, it shows little signs of life.

One of the thugs takes a shot off at Domaya...

Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Nonlethal Electric Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2

Will: 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (13) + 0 = 13
And promptly recieves a mind crushing headache, collapsing to the ground in a heap.

The final thug looks considers his wounds, looks at his fallen comrades, and runs... like... hell.

~Combat Over~

CerenTomato looks at the lot of you. "Well... not much for subtlety but you certainly make for excellent guards. Let's get back to this Society of yours. I'll call Jubair and have us meet us there."

Quest summary post soon to come, followed by intro to final quest.

Returning to the Lorespire Complex, Tomato and her grandson are ushered in to Historia-7's office for a private meeting. After 10 minutes, the android calls the rest of you in to speak as the pair are escorted to their new residence.

"I thank you for your help. I only had to fix some of your work, but it seems as though Ceren... or Tomato as she is now called... feels comfortable enough with her new identity to return to public life."

Coming from Historia-7, that is truly a compliment.

"She has agreed to the transfer of the requested documents which is happening as we speak. Not only that, she has agreed to continue working for our organization in exchange for some help with procuring more up to date neural implants."

She makes a few gestures on a touchscreen display and a rudimentary courier robot rolls up to the hallway outside of Historia-7's office. "I have work to attend to, I expect to work with you again in the future."

She motions for you to leave her office, and the courier presents you with a gift box. Inside is a standard datajack, 200 credits, and a frostbite-class zero rifle. Additionally, a simple electronic is included. "The datajack is a token of thanks from the Dataphiles. My agents accompanies Jubair back to his residence to retrieve their effects and this rifle was found among Ceren's old belongings. This may prove more useful in your coming assignments than in Ceren's."

Your final task is to meet with Fitch, onboard the Master of Stars. A Society shuttle is available for your use, whenever you are prepared to depart the station and head to the Armada.

Using One Resolve Point on the ride over to get back up to full Stamina!

It takes an hour or so to requisition a society shuttle but without further delay you head off station!

The station’s Armada can be seen from the shuttle’s view screen as it takes off, gleaming figures standing out against the emptiness of space. The Master of Stars immediately stands out from the rest, as layers and layers of scaffolding obscure its hull. Tiny lights flicker among the metal beams as distant figures weld plates and heat shields to the ship’s exterior. The shuttle smoothly glides closer until it reaches the starship’s docking bay, slipping through the magic field that keeps the hold pressurized with breathable atmosphere. As the shuttle doors open, a small drone flies in and pops up a holoscreen, displaying a harried-looking ratfolk.

“Finally, fresh meat!” the ysoki exclaims over the screen, sounding pleased. “Name’s Fitch—pleasantries over, time to get to work. I had some trouble earlier with the lights flickering on the ship, and now both the lights and computers have suddenly gone out on E-Deck. No idea what’s causing it, but you work this job long enough and—” Fitch’s attention flicks to something offscreen, and she shouts “Kirkath! The welding torch is not a toy! You wanna go in the toddler’s pen with the other kids?” She snorts dismissively before continuing, “Sorry, some of these little ones would cut off their own heads if I let them. Anyway, it could be some lunkhead screwed up the wiring, but that’s a pretty big system failure for a simple electrical short. I’d prefer to send in some people with combat training to scout it out, just in case someone or something is sabotaging the ship. If it’s nothing, great, get the power back on if you can. If there’s something suspicious, use your comm units to report in to me. I’ll give you the access codes, so—Selicha! If you touch that panel I will staple you to the hull!” The screen on the drone cuts out, then flashes to display the ship’s schematics and the passwords for the computers on E-Deck.

Seems simple enough Domaya comments I have some experience with mechanical devices. Hopefully that will be enough to get the lights running again. What is E-Deck used for?

Second Seekers (Luwazi Elsebo)

Gamma is really amped up after having seen the Armada, and Space.

Before Domaya can ask her question, the screen goes blank, then shows the passwords. Calling Fitch back on her personal comm, Domaya gets his secretary on the line. "Fitch is unavailable right now, can I take a message for you?"

Domaya wrote:

"Hmm... one moment. Fitch? What's E-Deck used for?" **Garbled speech** "No, what is E-Deck..." *Garbled yelling* "It's the Starfinders you called for! The ones you just talked to 30 seconds ago! They want to know what E-" *Long garbled talking* "Ok."

There is a long pause and a sigh before the secretary answers. "He says, and I quote, 'How the blazes should I know, this ship is a mess but it's the only one we've - expletive removed - got!' I apologize for his temper, but he's in quite a rush. This ship has been in neglect for ages, but after the Scoured Stars incident we lost just about anything that was spaceworthy. We're just making do with what we've got. Please, call me on the comm if you find anything strange, and I'll relay the information to Fitch."

There is a clicking sound.

Let's maybe take the stairs...

As you head towards E-Deck you find the power is cut completely, including emergency lighting and apparently doors. The door in front of you is unpowered and doesn't open... however on the flip side the locking mechanism is also unpowered. It will just take a little muscle to shove it open.

Lucky leaves Obo to her exertions, and takes advantage of her onboard darkvision to look for any terminals, access panels, or anything else that seems power-related.

Pangea is able to find a powered down terminal that still has a backup battery. With that he's able to switch the deck over to the emergency circuit, bring back basic lighting, but that's it.

As Obazaya drags the door open, you hear a high pitched short outburst and a scampering sound. After a moment you hear someone start to speak and a whisper. "Be quiet! They'll hear!"

Lucky looks at the frost coating the door and sighs. I suppose it would be too much to hope the zero rifle would be a good idea.

Not that I would've shot the cute alien.

"You think he's ok? I hope he is... you'll help find him right?"

The girl looks at Kai. "She's small, and-"

The boy interjects. "No, it's a HE!"

The girl glares back at him. "Nuh uh, it's a she! And she's little, has a big mouth, short little legs and arms, a little nose, and she's fuzzy! And she likes to play with things."

Taking a closer look at the door, it appears that the room on the other side has had it's temperature controls set awfully low. Cold air leaks out from behind the door, and condensation has begun to accumulate and freeze in spots. The door itself is unlocked and unpowered like the others, but easy enough to shove open.

Assuming Pangea doesn't say that it will freeze her

Lucky hauls open the door and takes a look around. C'mon out fuzzy-little-nose-playing-thing. Just want to figure out what's going on.

The door seems cold, but not dangerously cold. Lucky slides the door open revealing a frosty room.

This area consists of two adjoining chambers. Four large containment capsules fill the fore room, three of which hold stasis-locked objects, including a tablet, a strange curved sword, and an odd spiral of bioluminescent coral. A crack leaks fluid from the fourth capsule, which displays a foot-wide breach near the bottom. The aft room contains several desks, each hosting a deactivated computer terminal. Several jagged holes start near the broken capsule through the wall panels.

To search for the creature, you have a few options. You can try to find traces of it's recent passage with survival, you can follow it into the vents with Acrobatics, or you can try to identify it's location based on the apparent damage with Engineering. Everyone can attempt this.

Kai however manages to catch sight of a few odd markings on the ground, possibly tracks? Pangea begins to follow... As he creeps in, he sees a small creature sitting next to a terminal in an adjacent sealed off room only accessible currently by the vents. It's shivering and poking at buttons with a confused look on it's face.

Pangea smiles.
Then it shows it comm' unit, opening the channel to speak slowly to the group: "The little critter is over here. In the adjacent, sealed off, room".
Pangea types away on the comm' unit, seeing if the little alien is interested in this.

It seems fairly interested, but less in the com unit and more in your method of input. Give me a Life Science check.
