GM,

With her background, would you allow it if Natalia "invents" something during the AP?
I'd describe details, required materials and costs of course.

So long as everything's done by the item creation rules, then yes we could probably work it out. fits your backstory well too;)

female Half Elf Bard (1); Ini +1; HP 10/10; AC 14 T 11 FF13; Fort+1 Ref +3 Will+4; Perc +7; Bardic Performance 7/7 left

Will be absent tomorrow for Mother's Day

Cool, thanx for notification.

Sorry I took a while to respond this time guys, I had a pub call in my name last night

Male Human SSoulknife2 (HP 20/20 | AC:18 | T:12 | FF:16 | CMD 13 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +8 | Init +2 | Perc: +10 | Speed 20 ft.)

Just checking in to say hi and thanks for having me in the campaign.

Keep checking Gameplay. The groups in the middle of a goblin assault on sandpoint so its pretty easy to throw you in at anytime. ill just put you strolling by at the end of this rounds initiative

Male Human SSoulknife2 (HP 20/20 | AC:18 | T:12 | FF:16 | CMD 13 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +8 | Init +2 | Perc: +10 | Speed 20 ft.)

Sounds good.

Sorry, harsh days at work, will be able to post probably tomorrow evening

Its ok, memorial day weekend has been hectic for me anyway. I'll catch up tonight and we can get back to a good pace

Alright guys, apologies again. My weekend was a typical memorial day weekend, crammed full of drinking, friends, and family. I'm ready to get the ball rolling again now though:)

female Half Elf Bard (1); Ini +1; HP 10/10; AC 14 T 11 FF13; Fort+1 Ref +3 Will+4; Perc +7; Bardic Performance 7/7 left

A question: do you get a AoO agaisnt a touch attack ?

No, but casting a spell provokes AoO. However, touch spells can be cast and then held in your hand, so you can cast it from safety, then move in and make your touch attack.

You can also cast defensively, but if you fail your concentration check then the spell fails but still uses up your daily slot.

female Half Elf Bard (1); Ini +1; HP 10/10; AC 14 T 11 FF13; Fort+1 Ref +3 Will+4; Perc +7; Bardic Performance 7/7 left

Good to know, cause my two domains power are touch attack

If they are not a spell then you are probably ok

F Aasimar Cleric

Sweet that the commando failed his save, save was Will though, not that it matters now.

Vanae, looks i might be able to help you after all. The commando is down for a good while.

sorry Natalia, I had to ignore your coup de grace. I didnt notice your additional color spray before, but they are both stunned now:)

F Aasimar Cleric

And KO.....that spell was such a bother a couple of fights back in another campaign. I was happy we were lvl 3 back then instead of lower.

Yes and KO. Btw, you took some damage a while back, 6 points I think

F Aasimar Cleric

That was when the commando would have attacked me just now, but i color sprayed him before that.

Ah, I screwed up. All should be fixed now though

F Aasimar Cleric

No sweat, my 1st game as DM has had a rough start too.

I tossed something akin to a flashbang through a window, storywise fluffing that since they don't know it was combat related they'd not do anything at all and i got comments on that they should only be blinded. :P

We learn as we go no?

female Half Elf Bard (1); Ini +1; HP 10/10; AC 14 T 11 FF13; Fort+1 Ref +3 Will+4; Perc +7; Bardic Performance 7/7 left

We all learn...

I may try to GM a game here, and i'm afraid to disappoint the players... ^^

I run 2 at home, but this is my first time running a pbp game. Hopefully everyone's having fun even though I'm still trying to iron out the wrinkles:)

F Aasimar Cleric

Well i'll try to copy the good points of games i play a pc in to my own game. Asking in the advice section helps too.

Buuuutt.......make it fun, make surprises.
A disabled thief NPC of mine suddenly swallowed something as his only action and went limp. Now he's declared a nutjob after waking in the cells.

Asking the players if there's background wise stuff they'd like to see in game is also a fun thing. I asked each of them and with their responses i can make encounters that go with their personal motivations or backgrounds.

Or if the players are speculating amongst themselves you could get new ideas for your game too.

Male Half-elf Ranger 3 (hp 27/27 | AC:17 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMD 18 | Fort +4 | Ref +7 | Will +1 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init +6 | Perc: +8 | Speed 30 ft.)

I'd be very curious to hear about your experience running a PBP game. I, too, run two games live. What prompted you to take on more responsibility? Are you swimming in extra time? :-)

actually i kinda am. thats exactly why i did it as well. i lost my job back in november and my fiance found a really good one before i did. we have 4 kids so its literally more feasible for one of us to stay home all day then it is to pay a day care. i have a pretty nice little shop here at home that i work out of a bit but since thats on my own time then it doesnt get in the way, and nothings stopping me from taking a break to check the game.

Male Half-elf Ranger 3 (hp 27/27 | AC:17 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMD 18 | Fort +4 | Ref +7 | Will +1 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init +6 | Perc: +8 | Speed 30 ft.)

That's great! Well, not the 'losing your job' part, but the arrangement is great.

yes I'm actually rather enjoying it. And actually, once I get a new generator I predict I'll be making about the same amount of money out of my home shop that I was making before. Working up the cash for a $2,000 generator while your not really working is a tedious process though. But even so, I'm enjoying the time with the kids quite a bit.

F Aasimar Cleric

Color Spray:
2 HD or less: The creature is unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round. (Only living creatures are knocked unconscious.)

Goblin Commando CR 1

XP 400
Goblin ranger 2
NE Small humanoid (goblinoid)
Init +3; Senses darkvision 60 ft.; Perception +6

Just taking this from d20. Ranger 2, it has 2 HD, so tell me if im wrong, but color spray would in that case knock the bugger out.

I started to use that one too at the beginning of the encounter but then I realized then one in the book is different, but he's still under 2hd. He is knocked out. The only one able to act right now is goblin 3

first color spray cone here, the second one specifically targeted the commando, which was to far away from the other goblin to be covered by the same cone. if i misinterpreted targets of the first cone i apologise, but those are the goblins i made saves for.

i will leave the red circle in the folder so that you can show me your own targets and cone sizes. all you have to do is grab it above and drag it down to where you want it

female Half Elf Bard (1); Ini +1; HP 10/10; AC 14 T 11 FF13; Fort+1 Ref +3 Will+4; Perc +7; Bardic Performance 7/7 left

This could be the shortest AP we'll ever see, with a TPK at the second encounter. ;-)

F Aasimar Cleric

Good grief no. Still 2 of us standing

you guys will make it.... most likely lol. that last goblins almost dead and the other one's practically helpless for several rounds still. this encounter has been rough though. not havin a dedicated meleee right away was tough, but things started to turn when vire came in.

F Aasimar Cleric

It's also a good example why full-casters should stay in the back ;)

Female Sylph - Bard 2 / Fighter 1 [HP: 20/20 | Spells: 1(3/3) | Bardic Performance: 9/9 | Arrows: 29/40 | AC: 17, 13T, 14F | F2 R6 W3 | Perception: +5 | Init: +5]

Or try not to walk into battle from the wrong side of the plaza ;)

Male Human SSoulknife2 (HP 20/20 | AC:18 | T:12 | FF:16 | CMD 13 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +8 | Init +2 | Perc: +10 | Speed 20 ft.)

I believe this is incorrect as it would have 2 HD from ranger, plus its additional 1 racial hit dice. Making it a 3 HD creature.

Regardless, what a brutal encounter lol. That one goblin I don't think rolled lower than like 16 the whole time.

the one online is different from the one in the book. I didnt notice that right away, his very first action i believe use the stats from the one off d20pfsrd.com, but i noticed it by his second action and used the stats from the one in the AP, which only has 12hp (1d10+2)

Male Human SSoulknife2 (HP 20/20 | AC:18 | T:12 | FF:16 | CMD 13 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +8 | Init +2 | Perc: +10 | Speed 20 ft.)

Are you perhaps using the original book and not the anniversary edition?

nope, Anniversary edition page 18 goblin commando

I know, I thought it strange too, but here's a pic. I had something like this happen with a DSP book too a couple months ago. One of my players had a power that was way op and when we looked into it I found that his print was different than mine, mine had been revised but his had not. I dont know which goblin is correct so I used the easier one once i noticed

Dont mind my painted toenails in pic 2 lol, my girls got me while i was dozed off

@Vire That use of intimidate is actually a standard action, so I'm going to ignore it and apply the charge, which kills it.

@Everyone The other goblin is easily dealt with as he's pretty much helpless for several more rounds. Vanea will stabilize with the others. I'm just about to start my Thursday game here at home so I will get back with what happens next this evening.

Male Human SSoulknife2 (HP 20/20 | AC:18 | T:12 | FF:16 | CMD 13 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +8 | Init +2 | Perc: +10 | Speed 20 ft.)

Yeah that's really strange the one I'm looking at Is most certainly 3 HD.

Ah ok, I saw Vanea taunt one earlier in the thread to try to provoke it. I figured it was a Bluff rule I was unaware of. Also don't forget, that goblin dead or not took a swing at me earlier when I moved which you've yet to take against me, with a crit I could actually be unconscious right now.

Male Half-elf Ranger 3 (hp 27/27 | AC:17 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMD 18 | Fort +4 | Ref +7 | Will +1 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init +6 | Perc: +8 | Speed 30 ft.)

LOL! I saw that but I wasn't going to say anything. To each his own! :-)

lol, i woke up and both my daughters and my ol lady were laughing at me. I smelled makeup so i looked at my phone with the screen side camera real quick but didnt see anything. then i set the phone down and saw my feet... lol. little turds. we didnt even have no remover!

I'm looking back but I'm a little lost as to which goblin missed what. Since it's just me that missed something, and I cant even see what it was, we can just let it go:) thanx for trying to point it out though. honesty is my favorite attribute!

F Aasimar Cleric

Kids, groping crotches isn't as casually done as just described in gameplay :D. I had a grin from here to tokyo reading that groping.

Male Half-elf Ranger 3 (hp 27/27 | AC:17 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMD 18 | Fort +4 | Ref +7 | Will +1 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init +6 | Perc: +8 | Speed 30 ft.)

As for jimibones's question, I don't really know of any online loot tracker and I'm not particularly finicky about how we do it. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Male Human SSoulknife2 (HP 20/20 | AC:18 | T:12 | FF:16 | CMD 13 | Fort +2 | Ref +5 | Will +8 | Init +2 | Perc: +10 | Speed 20 ft.)

Maybe create an alias that is there to store gear?

Female Sylph - Bard 2 / Fighter 1 [HP: 20/20 | Spells: 1(3/3) | Bardic Performance: 9/9 | Arrows: 29/40 | AC: 17, 13T, 14F | F2 R6 W3 | Perception: +5 | Init: +5]

Maybe share to us a link to a spreadsheet in Google Drive?

female Half Elf Bard (1); Ini +1; HP 10/10; AC 14 T 11 FF13; Fort+1 Ref +3 Will+4; Perc +7; Bardic Performance 7/7 left

I didn't grope casually. I grope with style. I do everything with style.^^

And i'm a looooong way from being a "kid".

That said, I don't want for anyone to feel uneasy from my character's antics, so if you want me to tone down, just say so. It's my first time playing a Calistrian priest, and they are no strangers to the delights of the flesh, or so i've read..

F Aasimar Cleric

Don't misunderstand, i laughed reading that. And i was jokingly talking to any actual kids reading this.

I think you should keep such an approach maybe as a diplomacy in some cases.

Another game i'm in has also has a cleric of Calistria, but she openly admits she's a, shall we say, "refined" lady of the pleasures.

Male Half-elf Ranger 3 (hp 27/27 | AC:17 | T:14 | FF:13 | CMD 18 | Fort +4 | Ref +7 | Will +1 (+2 vs enchantments) | Init +6 | Perc: +8 | Speed 30 ft.)

Didn't bother me none.

Another OOC: Blue didn't pick up the masterwork goblin weapon. It's probably the most valuable thing there but he finds it distasteful.
