We are going to be going through our first combat probably within the next week so we need to figure out a way to tighten things up a bit. Otherwise it could take a month to resolve a simple combat if we are waiting a week on people to respond.

The way I've seen it done is The GM rolls all initiatives. Then for each cluster of people in between ennemies, every one can post out of order. and a time limit is set for each cluster (like 24h).
e.g.:
PC1 init 14
PC2 init 12
Monter 1 init 8
PC4,5 init 7
Monster 2 init 4
PC6 init 2
PC 1 and 2 can post in any order then Monster 1, then PC4,5, 7 in any order, then monster 2, then PC6/PC1/PC2 in any order.
For even faster play, Monsters can have a single initiative (especially mooks).

If that is ok with all it is fine with me. I generally prefer to have all enemies on a single initiative anyway (at the highest init) for simplicities sake. The question is whether the 24hr time limit is ok for all?
I am open for any suggestions on combat and making things as smooth as possible. There WILL be plenty of combat once things get rolling.

I think Mallory/YR is still around but has had issues keeping up. If it continues then yes we will need another player. I am willing to give it another day or two to get resolved.

I apologize for my low posting rate the last few days. Unfortunately this is going to be a recurring issue on thursdays and fridays. I'll try to make up for it by posting more on the other days and always checking to see if there's something I need to say or do on wednesday nights.
If my absence ever seems strange to the story, either NPC me, or assume Sandman gets lost in some sort of dream state/hallucination. He is an oracle after all. Sometimes he's going to act a little weird.

Not a problem Sandman:) I have my other games every other Thursday evening, Friday evenings and Saturdays so I will be slow on posting on those days myself.

Marty is going to be slightly delayed as the Paizo sight is blocked from his work so he will have to wait and read everything tonight from home.
brvheart |
Sorry, Marty is figuring out the formatting. He hasn't played PBP before either, but is an excellent ftf player with over 30 years experience. I sent him Doomed Hero's Guide.

Paizo must have been having problems again last night. Welcome to the game Marty:)

I finally got a message back this morning from YoricksRequim that he/she had too much going on in real life to continue.

Hey look! Some actual magic support!

Yeah was hoping her Gunslinger would work out, but we gave it almost four weeks. Jequette is already more of a member of the party in 48 hours!
Poor Prince Poppycock is stuck on a ship of a very strange design! And he doesn't even know it yet as his carriage broke down again! At least he gets to be the cabin boy!

For a formal introduction, I am Greg Geilman, former designer, editor and Production Design Manager for Judges Guild. I was involved in the Necromancer Games/Judges Guild Wilderlands Boxed Set and Players Guide and we also worked with Goodman Games to do three more JG products with them. 4E kind of did us in and haven't been able to break into anything in Pathfinder.

Good stuff.
My name is Jasper Anderton. I'm co-author of Tome of Sorrows 2 for the Midnight campaign setting (2nd edition) from Fantasy Flight Games.
So far that's my only professional credit, but more is in the works. Around here I'm best known for a certain guide to Play By Post gaming that has received a much larger reaction than I ever anticipated.

I have quite a bit of stuff from FFG for 3.x and have been using your guide to run this the best I can. Nice to meet you Jasper:)

Huh? THE Judges Guild from like way back when? Wow.
As for me, I'm Morgan Boehringer/oceanshieldwolf. Freelancing wise I've got some Kobold Press credits (Gauntlet Witch archetype from KQ #23; island location The Far Flung Atolls from Journeys to the West; coauthored and provided a map for the adventure Awash in the Wash again in Journeys to the West, the adventure Curse of the Witchkeep in Midgard Tales, legendary identities The Songraven and Calmtongue in Legends of Midgard)
some stuff in Wayfinder (Bonewitch archetype in #7; Vegepygmy racial stats and Archidendrite summoner archetype in #8; Weal or Woe/Cave Harpy/Fractured Fane of the Fleshwarpers side trek in #9);
and contributed a chapter to Misfit Studios upcoming Bite Me! The Gaming Guide to Lycanthropes.
I also created thirteen or so more variant racial Gauntlet Witches that appeared on the KQblog - one of which, the Heavy Gauntlet Witch, was included in the recent Advanced Races 3: Gearforged release from Kobold Press. :)
I'm also a fledgling third party publisher running Forest Guardian Press - my one product to date, the Direlock Base Class received a 5 star review and seal of approval from reviewer's reviewer endzeitgeist.
I'm also a founding member of the Multiclass Archetypes Project. Our wiki contains more than 100 playable archetypes based on mixing two classes. Here's the link:
You can download our first PDF "Divine Champions" containing 17 Divine multi class archetypes from the wiki....
I think that is enough boasting from me....

Very cool Morgan! Yeah, from way back then to 2008. This was my first
In Search of Kelandor's Gold.
Our fledgling company has been on hiatus since 2008. Eostros Games.

Does anyone else have D20Pro? I have a main account and 2 guest accounts. Was considering using it for combat.

Yes, I had not realized I had given THAT much out, especially all role playing. That is ok, a lot was for rescuing Milliauka who was supposed to be in Fort Stormshield and being able to do it without a fight meant doing everything right. It has led this down an interesting path. Combat will be coming, probably soon in the direction the party is going.
