I'm a little confused about the situation right now. I know we split up and part of the group is investigating the dragonsmoke dealers, but I'm not completely sure of who's there.
I'm also not sure why they brought Jequette (who I'm pretty sure they all just met) along on the mission.
I'm not saying it's a bad idea, it just seems odd to me that they would ask her to come along unless they knew her somehow.

Every one is in there but you and me.

As far as I know of the situation four of you, Obi, Morgan, Jequette and Silas are in the Barnacle at present while Beth is waiting outside and was planning on coming in later. I has just presumed you were with Beth, kind of dragged along with the party.
As for why they took Jequette, well you can blame Morgan on that one. Seems he took an instant liking to her and invited her along, or more exact his Tiki did. The other three agreed. They even waited for her to get a room at the RunAground to change.
Jequette and Morgan are at the bar drinking while Silas is drinking with what he presumes is the smuggler trying to get information. Not sure if Obi is drinking with them or at the bar at present. Morgan did a poor imitation of a sleight of hand to pour the drink all over himself instead of drinking it which the bartender caught and made a little joke over. I am just going with the flow on this.
So I guess you can decide whether you are outside with Beth or still back with Miliuaka or elsewhere. As for "splitting up" my understanding was that a couple of you talked with the dealers while the rest of you hung back in the shadows. Which was a good thing as one of them was there also! It could have got nasty had it only been two on three!

I have this all set up on d20Pro, but as I said I only have 2 guest accounts so only 2 of you can log on at a time. I can PM anyone the IP and password that is interested.

brvheart |

It seems to be all over the place. 19 on one roll and a low roll on the second!

brvheart |

Ok, I am going to head to the couch for awhile. If you are going to post in gameplay email me afterwards please. ggeilman at satx dot rr dot com.

I'll get better with this, it's definitely different than table top, and sucks not having the sheets in front of your person. I'm open to any suggestions or corrections it only makes me better. Greg's helped me a lot over the years...Lord, knows I need all the help I can get.

brvheart |

Take care of yourself David. Make sure you get plenty of fluids.
I finally realized I could post as any of my alias w/o going into My Account, duh!

--Sandman-- |

GM, what do you think of a Combat Tracker to help with keeping track of what's going on and where we are in initiative?
Basically, just a periodic re-post of the initiative order with a short description of what's already happened. Something like-
Silas
Garreg (surrenders)
Beth (cast Bless)
Jequette (scorching ray)
Obi (moved, cast Hydraulic push)
Sandman
Morgan
And then we can see at a glance what's already happened, and who's left to act.

brvheart |

You want the DM to do whut? Multi-whut<G>? Lol, I must admit to a certain amount of laziness in my home game. I turned over handling the initiative to the players a long time ago. One handles init, one maps, one takes notes (you are taking notes right Marty?), I just run the monsters! How else am I going to run games sometimes with 8-13 players<G>? Sure, I am certain I can do that:) If I forget to at times, just give me a reminder as I have to ask James who is next when he is rattling away about something totally unrelated to the game!

brvheart |

I think this is the first time in my game that a dwarf has allowed himself to be intimidated by a 1' tall construct!

--Sandman-- |

I was talking to the leader of the off-duty dragoons, who were engaged in protecting a drug dealer. Not the barkeep.
Also, would you kindly stop rolling 18s for all the enemy saving throws? Thanks.

brvheart |

I thought you were talking to Garreg. They are just off-duty dragoons and had no leader present, but seem to be ready to protect the bartender. Their captain is Gregory Bonedeuce, the present commander of the Dragoons.
As for the saving throws, I can't help the die roller! I am not using my big red die, I promise! (My players are afraid of that one when I take it out for attack rolls<G>.)

The timeline on this is not set in stone. If you feel as if you need more time I can make the Midnight Deal happen on the following night if that is necessary.

Morgan "Hoeroa" Randall |

I just don't see how the whole thing aint shot in the a$$ seeing as we went in and beat up Garreg, but Barrett is the head dealer/going to be at the boat. If he doesn't put on extra goons or ('goons)/cancel the meeting/put contracts out on us he must be stupider than usual for a dwarf. I don't even understand why Morgan is interested in the whole dragonsmoke thing anyway... Going to go back and see if I can find in the thread where Morgan agreed to join with Beth and just what they were going to do...

Morgan "Hoeroa" Randall |

Aha. Morgan is interested in finding the rat-skull caparisoned thief of the jawbone. Before we could ask around about him Silas got a new piercing in his leg. Ok, maybe I'll ask Garreg about him...

Beth Macara |

Morgan, we've got no information about Barret being Garreg's boss.
From what I understand, Barret is somehow involved in the disappearance of Achibald Noelius, the former head cleric of Quell.
And Garreg is involved in dragonsmoke independantly of Barret.
The dragoons seem to be in the tavern to help/protect Barret but have nothing to do with Garreg otherwise we would not have been able to get Garreg out so easily.
My take on our next step is to go to the drug dealing meeting and to get hold off one of the dealers to know where it comes from and get more info on the organisation.
At some other point, Beth will want to investigate Barret and his role in Achibald Noelius disappearance.
We also need to find the jawbone and get info on the guy who took it.

--Sandman-- |

Sandman just doesn't like Dragonsmoke. :)

brvheart |

Well, you guys should decide to go SOME direction or midnight will pass and you will need a place to stay for the night.

brvheart |

There is no map provided for this one so I needed to create one. Can everyone read a xls file?

brvheart |

As a reminder, please take note of the house rules in the Campaign Info section. I don't have many, but have a few.

Beth Macara |

Just as a suggestion, can you leave rows and columns labels in your maps. It will be easier.
Another question, you said the dragoons were coming from the south. Which way is south?

brvheart |

The rows and columns don't show up in Google Drive for some reason, but if you download the file they are there. North is to the right on the map, south to the left.
P=PUSHERS
S=SMUGGLERS
E=ENFORCERS
G=GARRETT

--Sandman-- |

The drug smuggler leader

brvheart |

Sorry I typo, that should be Garreg. The smuggler you have captured.

Morgan "Hoeroa" Randall |

Ok. I thought so. Just checking. @brvheart I sent you a PM regarding rules for merging with Tikim/my plan to stay merged with Tiki while hanging on to Garreg's neck.

brvheart |

Sorry Morgan, I ran my RA game today and it is chemo day after the game so I need to rest for awhile afterwards.

brvheart |

My chemo is fairly low level, but it does have a tendency to wipe me out for a day or two.

--Sandman-- |

The plan sounds good to me.
