Pre-Gen-Lini |

Sorry, vacation has been extremely lazy for me.
Lini will of course use her wand on everyone as necessary.
C'mere Droogami Lini rubs her tiger and hits him with the wand as well.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Going to Twigg, What did you think of that squid? We should go do that and go explore sometime.

![]() |

CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 Enough for now, Linark likes to live dangerously.
16 charges left.
"I do agree those things need to be put down, but we should risk ourselves in doing so. Let's use our ranged or reach weapons."
Do they wait at the bars or are they farther away? Cause ranged weapons underwater take -2 for every 5feet of water the projectiles passes...

![]() |

The lacedons are at the bars, and trying to reach you. their fat butts can't squeeze through 18 inches between metal rods.

![]() |

"They are close!"
Linark maintains a safe distance (5 feet between us I believe), draws his Longbow and shots an arrow (or many) to put the things down. If nothing weird happens he will do that until they are slain.
Longbow Underwater: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 - 2 = 13! Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 7

![]() |

if you want to spend the next minute or so shooting the lacedons, we can just say they eventually re-die.

![]() |

Another short cavern to a cave. this is completely underwater. how long does the underwater breathing spells last?

![]() |

Everyone is holding their breath now. You would have noticed it going out about 30 seconds ago. I'll start posting how much time you have been underwater.
Underwater time-1:30

![]() |

Yes, I'll shot the lacedons to redeath, and also take a look in their cell to see if there's anything worth taking. If there is we will look for a way to open it.
By the way, isn't there an air pocket on top of this tunnels?

![]() |

yes. there is an air pocket. just saying that when you are underwater, you aren't breathing. spells will be different. did the swim speed spell expire after a minute as well?
You spend about 30 seconds working together to open the bars, and find a fancy piece of jewelry on one of the lacedons.
Underwater time- 2:00

Pre-Gen-Lini |

This is a fun form....Animals have all the best bodies.
Lini, still getting used to the Squid form maneuvers around the cave a bit flailing her tentacles about with her Cephalopod Kata. After she regains comfort she heads toward the next cave, motioning toward the party to follow with each of her tentacles.
This form lasts for 4 hours.
Maybe I should have Droogami ride me for a change, let him save his strength

![]() |

Lini, in squid form, shoots towards the next cave. The rest of the party come up for air, take a deep breath, then continue. (taking 10 on the swim speed).
The tunnel opens into a wider cavern decorated with hundreds of leering skeletal parts, wriggling with worms. Four dark circular openings exit the chamber.
When Lini enters the chamber, an cloud of some liquid shoots out from the NW section. Behind it is something nasty, which you can only see for a split second as it has total concealment now.

Nice! Another Squid!
Linark will move into a better position and ready an attack to happen if the thing get into range:
PA Nodachi: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 - 2 = 10! Half this Damage: 1d10 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

![]() |

Johender begins to inspire his companions with another rousing story.
Inspire courage +1 to attacks, damage, and save vs fear.

![]() |

Linark's move will provoke from this thing. A tentacle shoots out and swings at Linark (who is flatfooted).
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
3d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 4, 1) + 4 = 15
grapple: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19
I believe that hits and grapples. Linark is drawn into the ink cloud...

![]() |

Well, If I'm moving I cannot be flat-footed, right?
Did it gave me 15 damage? Ouch!
I made only a move action, right?
Linark tries to escape the thing, since he cannot attack it with his two-handed weapon:
Grapple escape: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
Lay on Hands: 1d6 ⇒ 2

![]() |

you are flatfooted from it as you don't see it, and it does have combat reflexes.
Linark escapes the grapple. He can roll a kn: arcana to ID it. it is a large sized squid looking thing.

![]() |

Linnark would be flat footed due to not being able to see his assailant.
Talfryn moves closer and readies an action to cast magic missile if he sees the thing that created the cloud of blackness.

Pre-Gen-Lini |

Can Lini try and get off Dancing Lights as she saw the Squid.
Miss Chance is usually 50% correct? I'll go high to hit if allowed:
DANCING LIGHTS: 1d100 ⇒ 85
Droogami will try and get the squid to release Linark.
BITE: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 88
DAM: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
CLAW: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 56
DAM: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
CLAW: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 11
DAM: 1d3 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

![]() |

Twigg moves closer, when a large tentacle shoots out and attacks him. (15ft reach)
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
3d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 6, 5) + 4 = 16
grapple: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (3) + 13 = 16
Twigg takes 16 points, which drops him I think.
Linark escaped the grapple on his turn.
Lini: I'll let you roll a perception check to see if you see him, and could act before the thing did.
Droogami goes in, which also provokes.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
3d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) + 4 = 10
grapple: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (12) + 13 = 25
The squid misses Droogami. Droogami moves in to attack. You only get 1 attack. I'll use the first attack, which connects for 6 points.

![]() |

Lini's perception.
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32
You see it, so your dancing lights spell goes off. (thanks to the sheet having natural spell on it) Unfortunately, it doesn't do much (correct me if i'm wrong), as the thing isn't in darkness, it is in a night black cloud of liquid.
I'll call that Lini's surprise round and have her go again.
She backs up, and taps Twigg with a CLW wand 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Baddy will attack Droogami (not flat footed).
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
3d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1, 3) + 4 = 13
grapple: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
thing i forgot: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
more stuff: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 3) + 4 = 12
The thingy smacks doogami for 13 points, then grapples it and gets a free bite attack. that hits and does and additional 12 points. i need a fort save vs poison for droogami.
Since Jothas delayed, I'll say he gets an attack before this happens if he wants. My actions still apply though.
Heroes up.

![]() |

Johender moves over and tries to fire his bow at the creature.
Attack PBS Inspire: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 5 + 1 + 1 = 22 Did not add in penalties.
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 1 + 1 = 11

![]() |

Jothas will move up to the commotion. He still doesn't have any idea what is going on or even what they are fighting (the room is in total darkness (100% concealment if I understand correctly). Until he is attacked, he has no idea where to attack.

![]() |

miss chance for Johendar 1d100 ⇒ 97
Arrow hits for 11 damage.
Jothas moves up, not provoking because it is grappling droogami. when he is adjacent to the devilfish, he sees it. (move half speed if you don't have a swim speed). if you have an standard action left, you can attack it.

![]() |

Linark attacks again, swiftly healing himself after:
PA Nodachi: 1d20 + 6 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 - 2 + 1 = 14! Half this Damage: 1d10 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 9 + 1 = 15
LoH: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 10
Common Dice, Help me!

![]() |

Oops. Forgot Talfryn. You are up as well.
Droogami will stabilize DC17 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 and fall out of the Devilfish's tentacles.
Lini will swim around and tap Twigg with CLW wand1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
no idea what twigg would do.

![]() |

Can't see the target because of the cloud. It has total concealment. Please pick another action.

![]() |

I should not use consumables from other people, but...
Twigg 5-foot-steps closer to Jothas, then draws a scroll of Enlarge Person and defensively casts it on the Samurai.
Concentration: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21
Jothas you're enlarged.

![]() |

I'm assuming that my readied action never went off, thus causing me not to lose my spell, is that correct?
Unable to see what he is fighting, Talfryn takes out his Longsword and keeps his eyes and ears open, as he moves into the cloud of darkness.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

![]() |

The round ends after Twigg uses his Enlarge Person scroll. Lini already cast a spell, so i'll just keep her on auto heal the whole time.
The Devilfish will attack Jothas
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
3d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 5, 4) + 4 = 14
grapple: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
savage bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
damage: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (5, 4) + 4 = 13
if bite hits, need save from poison Fort DC15
Jothas takes 14 points (ac is 25 right?), then is grappled and bit for another 9 points.
Jothas' fort save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16
Made it. Not poisoned, but grappled.
Heroes up
Lini heals Linark for 6 points
Droogami floats to the bottom of the cavern.
Jothas attacks the devilfish and misses
* Talfryn (readied action never triggered, so you keep spell) sees Jothas get slapped and grappled, but you don't see the Devilfish. You are sure it is close. You still have your actions.
* Johendar
* Linark
* Twigg

Johender continues to inspire his companions and calls his bane on the creature. Activate Freebooter's Bane +1 attack and damage
Drawing back he fires his bow again.
Attack, PBS, Inspire, Bane: 1d20 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 14
Damage, PBS, Inspire, Bane: 1d8 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 5
Miss Chance: 1d100 ⇒ 73

![]() |

Linark concentrates for a moment on the creature, and realizes the dvil blood it has, turning it on a sentient evil being. He activates his Smite Evil on it and continues with his (so far) fruitless attack on the fish:
PA Nodachi: 1d20 + 5 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 5 + 3 = 19! Half this Damage: 1d10 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 10 + 2 = 13
Miss chance: 1d100 ⇒ 93
An impressive AC of 18 now!

![]() |

Johendar's arrow flies (or swims) wide, but Linark slices up the Devilfish for 6 damage. You can tell it is hurt pretty bad.
