And just so you guys know, I'm pretty excited about doing this for you. I have been trying to start a more regular campaign with the players I have. But just too hard with busy schedules. this is awesome.
If for any reasons I have to stop, I will not just stop contact for like two months.

A way I've seen the best in combat situations here on the boards is for the DM to roll initiatives for everyone and then post them so we all know who's up next. So for example:
Round 3, Initiatives
Muddy 20
Firesnap 19
Zombies 18
Lomar 15
Skeleton 15 (lower Dex)
Oro
Etc.
Just helps keep everything simple, faster and more organized that way. Also, for us players, it tends to also make it more simple, faster etx. For the DM if every round we post out stats, like:
Round 2 Init 15
AC 18 HP 12
F/R/W 5/2/6
Buffs: Protection From Evil
Effects: Sickened
Spells left: 2/2nd 1/1st
Or whatever, can just copy and paste each round with updated info.
Finally I've also found it can help speed things up Tarloc if the DM gives us the AC and pertinent stats of the baddies, like:
Zombies AC 14 HP
F/R/W 1/3/1
That we we can know in advance if we hit them or not and post appropriately. These are all just suggestions of course based on my years of playing here. You can things however you want.
Oh and for the record, I have no problem you rolling however you like Tarloc.

hmm maybe thats why i never got init checks when I asked? now I know.
so init is as follows
lomar
muddy
skeleton 1 hp ac 16
oro
riding dog
sylavel
skeleton 1 hp
firesnap
zombie 9hp 1c 12
zombie 9hp
zombie 9hp
I will probably only roll init for the first round and combat will continue in that order until one side or the other is done(dead, unable to continue, beg for mercy, etc.etc)
Oro go ahead and make an action for the first round against one of the two zombies engaging the spellcasters if you wish. and a second action for the next round to save a little time.
and like with sylavels riding dog, posting summoned creatures stats is a gret help. as far as hp updates and stats, they are on your profiles and I track hp on my end. But if you want to post them thats fine.
Let the games begin
The map of sokol keep that waregle was using is right out of the book. so we can continue to use it for now. the party is located in squares p25 and q25,i will see if I can learn the basics of google docks enough to make maps on it also. looks easy enough.

Cool. You're learning the PbP ropes quick, boss! ; )
Yes, usually Inits are only rolled once per encounter, unless something significant changes.
If you're keeping track of stats, cool, but my experience on here is that most of us players don't change them on our sheet too often

Something else I'd throw in is on your own profile page, include basic rolls. If you do the dice format for example, it doesnt' actually roll on a profile page, so you can copy easy peasy.
For Example Link
Just copy and paste.
Also you rolling peoples saving throws can help speed things up (in my opinion at least).

Hey, a question for everyone. Does anyone feel that Lomar's Ranged touch Eldritch attack is too powerful for his level? I'm using it exactly as written in the alternative warlock class that Wareagle approved, but...I dunno. At this level a ranged attack is almost an auto-hit and 2d8+1 damage will take down most things in one hit.
Just wanted to get some other opinions and feedback on it.

Sylavel Telemivor |

I'm playing a summoner. It seems the general consensus is that I'm too OP as it stands, and probably don't deserve a vote on whether someone else is too powerful :)
My own opinion, 2d8+1 is pretty high at this level, if it's like the Warlocks at-will touch attack from 3.5 (wasn't it a d6 at level 1 in 3.5?). I really haven't read it though, so can't say.

Tarloc Doom |

lomar, post where i can find a description of the class, and i will look it over. to make sure its on the up and up.
personally i dont mind a mage that can really whoop it on at lower levels. usually i have to baby the magic user until he gets powerful enough to survive on his own. hated doing it, but it is usually the only way they survived(my brothers 1st level mage was unconscious by the time the first 5 battles had ended before i stopped attacking him after he would cast)

Tarloc Doom |

yeah, then go like 1d8 +1d6 at 3rd. then unleash the fury at 5th with full power blasts. whoo hoo, getting excited over here.
and man those comics are FUNNY! i was crying through a few of them, laughing so hard.
im only on number 156 i think. there are 800+. you will free phlan before i am done
game on!
