Seeing the dwarf dash off after the pair of unknown bowmen, Jarrish curses in elvish and charges after him, hoping if this pair are the wayward children they are looking to "rescue" that Torgen doesn't chop them to bits.

Torgen takes both hits. He was running and lost his dex bonus to AC.

Torgen rolls to a stop, both arrows sticking out of his arm, and lays into blue with his ax, giving as well as he got.

Cursing that the dwarf both started killing the kids they were supposed to save, possibly at least, AND that the fighter managed to put himself in the perfect spot to stop the elf from incapacitating them both with a spell, he drops his longsword and draws the new sap as he moves into melee range, charging the blunt weapon with magics as he does so.

Sap, orange: 1d20 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 3 + 1 = 16
Damage, nonlethal: 1d6 + 3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 1 = 5

Tuuli moves in closer to the melee and starts to make some gestures with her hand while whispering a short arcane chant.

"I'm sorry Targen..." she adds in a gentle voice as a vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from her hand.

Tolwin sees the colors and is consumed ... he falls to the ground unconscious. Richelle can close her eyes just in time.

Torgen definitely attacked after being stuck with arrows, if that is what you are asking.


Torgen, you were in the area of effect of the 'color spray' spell that Tuuli cast on Torgen and Richelle (see above). You would need to save vs. DC 17 to resist or you are unconscious. This is PFS. You can veto Tuuli casting the spell.

Richelle looks very afraid and she shoots an arrow but it hits the ground.

Suddenly, from behind a boulder a pale young Tiefling with skin as white as a sheet and freaky little horns appears and aims his crossbow at a vital spot ... Jarrish does not see the man! The bolt is about to hit his abdomen and but he avoids the sneak attack.

The Tiefling then drops his crossbow and draws his short sword.

Seeing the way cleared by their wizard, Jarrish responds in kind, chanting out a quick spell and launching another dazzling blast of color and light into their foes.

Tuuli first rushes to Torgen's side, checking that he's OK after being hit with her spell, but then will help with any restraining of the tiefling first and then the two young kids, depending on time.

Tuuli's got no rope on her. Does anyone else? If not, a quick search of the unconscious bodies may be in order.

Calming his breathing as both remaining foes fall to his awesome magics. Jarrish takes a moment to compose himself, making sure not to let his immense pride at his superior skills show on his face as he was often accused of "elven arrogance" and decided to mask it, for the time being.

"I have some rope. Let us secure these and fi d out what is going on." looking over the collected gear, he comments "Well equipped, hmm."

When Torgen finally wakes up, he asks, "What the blazes happened?"

He squints are everyone as if he is still having trouble seeing.

Did Torgen not take that second hit from the arrow and not land a blow? Your last battle summary did not include that damage. I'm not sure whether to claim the CLW potion or not.

Jarrish looks up at the dwarf while working securing and checking the prisoners. "Unfortunately you were perephitally involved in a magical attack that neutralized these foes. No permanent damage occurred from the spell, but" looking at the dwarf's bleeding wound, he suggests "They each have a restorative potion here, I suggest you use one. It's only fair since they caused the harm."

I assume you did take a hit, either way we can divvy up the consumables for now. Probably.

You have bound your prisoners and you see that they are all waking up.

The Tiefling looks at you with a hateful smile.

The stiff and stoic dwarf stares at the tiefling unmoved, unmoving, defiant and, of course, unafraid.

"And you are hardly in any position to be making threats. I'm tempted to cut your horns off because they have obviously gone to your head."

"Hi, I'm Moose Knuckle and you are clearly very smart and very powerful. I would not want anything to happen to you and I'm the only one standing between you and the dwarf. So, tell us what you're doing with the kids and where Aurelliax's amulet is.


The Tiefling just grins and remains silent.

Jarrish stows his sap and retrieves his longsword as the group secures the stunned foes. Then he stands and let's the group interrogate their captives, as talking to the lesser races was never his strong suit.

In truth, talking to anyone wasnt among his more notable skills.

Yet he cannot help himself from snorting derisively ar the tiefling's pointless and pathetic death threats

"And yet you are helpless on the ground and we stand here, victorious. I say let the dwarf tear this one up, then we'll talk to the kids."

He assumed the group would probably think he was bluffing, but he wasnt... not really.

After hearing the sweet "Please" of Moose you see Richelle moving a bit.

”Who ... who are you people!? We ... we are safe with you?! she says and it is clear that she is afraid.


Tolwin looks at the frightened Richelle and he clearly is uncertain how to react now but seeing the Tiefling keep quite obviously helped.

"Look, I ... I want us build our own path, ok! But ... but where should we go? We have nothing except of this here and now ... now we can never go back to Highdelve." he says and it is obvious that he seeks a solution quite desperately.

The Tiefling looks at Tolwin with hateful eyes.

Tolwin continues but it is hardly audible as the Tiefling shouts to hinder you from listening but you still hear Tolwin.

"We ... only know that the Tiefling here ... Feran ... and his mother wanted to conduct a ritual and unleash something on the jubilee to distract the townsfolk so that he could do something ... we do not know what. And we also do not know where his mother is ... she has been in the cave for ages now with this amulet we stole. Please ... we just stay here and wait for you, ok? Who are you?? Please?!?" hhe pleads.

"Well then, I guess we better go look in this cave. Get that amulet back." looking at the group, "Drag these ner'do'els back to town first? Or just let them wait here?"

Looking around, "I suppose we could load em on the cart."


The Tiefling shouts "You kids will suffer for this! I assure you that you will regret this ... my mother's sacrifice will not have been in vain!"

And he spits in the direction of Tolwin.

The kids suddenly are silent again.

"Shall we knock the obnoxious one out so he stops causing problems? Seems like tying him up is not enough."

It takes a few shots but eventually Moose is able to knock her out with non-lethal damage.


The Tiefling tries to struggle but it is in vain. Now, he lies there on the ground ... unconscious.
