... his harpoon pierces Shabah's abdomen and his bite tears into Shabah's shoulder.

Shabah: Assuming AC 19 this was 22 damage. AC 21 would have been 11 damage.

The sahuagin in blue armor moves to the aisle and shoots at Umberto with his crossbow and...

... the bolt almost flies with a targeting system and hits Umberto right in the chest.

The first two attacks of Shabah are so vicious that they tear into Sahuagin as if he was made of butter.

You see the Sahuagin take a step back and then drops to the floor.

Gurkagh looks very confused and a bit disappointed when Seth yells at him not to throw the crate. Nonetheless, he puts it down gently where he got it from.

The sahuagin in blue armor moves a step back and rapidly reloads his crossbow to shoot at Umbberto again!

Hearing Umberto's groan as he falls to the ground, Seth runs to help him out but can't quite get to him just yet (sorry, spd is 25'}. But, he can at least keep the man from bleeding out. He waves his hand while chanting, sending a mote of positive energy streaking toward the unconscious priest.

"Bad sharkmen! shouts Gurkagh, as he rushes towards the nearest one whispering to the wood spirits in the crates. His left arm turns into a tree branch, and he swings it hard at the sahuagin.

Glad that their falchion won't occupy their hands during the climb, Shabah vaults up and over the intervening barricade, bringing their mighty jaws to bear against the sahuagin who injured her compatriot!

Shabah is able to bite the Sahuagin's right arm and you see that he almost drops the crossbow!

The sahuagin suddenly starts to frenzy when he sees his own blood and drops the crossbow. He attacks with all his might but cannot penetrate Shabah's thick hide.

Ha, sorry--my bad. I'm not good with color and didn't zoom in enough to notice the line through that sahuagin token. Maybe Gurkagh gave him an extra tap to keep him down! :)

As it looks like the others have the sahaugin well in hand, Seth begins to search around the boxes to see if he can locate the explosives.

With an unbelievably forceful bite and claw attack Shabah tears into the Sahuagin and its lifeless body falls to the ground!

As you check over the bodies, they are mostly geared for combat, but one thing of note are hollow metal bars, each of them carrying a pair of them.

On the upper balcony is a waterproofed map laid across the crates, which you easily recognize as depicting Vialesk.

Red X's are marked in a rough circle, seeming to surround the Glass Pit.

Perception DC 15:

You believe that the iron bars, when struck together make a sound that you believe exactly matches the sound that Zahra described during the disaster.

Looking at how badly these things have been mauled, my guess is that wasn't me. Umberto draws a wand of healing for himself and applies a few dabs.

Umberto looks over the hollow iron bars and touches them together ligthly. These bars. They make that noise that Zahra described. We're in the right place. Tsomo is the mastermind.

"Uh oh. If those red X's represent explosives that have already been placed, we may be too late." With that, Seth begins to furiously ransack a few crates to determine whether or not there are still bombs here.


Seth realizes quite fast that most of the ironflame powder that was delivered is not in the warehouse anymore.

"Mr. Saliss is correct. Time is of the essence; we must depart!"


It takes only a few minutes to realize that any one of the sites will cause rapid flooding of the district around the Glass Pit.

Cutting off the air and submerging the forge would result in a massive pressure explosion and catastrophic damage to the city.

The fewer sites allowed to go critical, the longer the city would have to evacuate the area, but the Glass Pit can likely only be saved by preventing the sabotage completely.

You also note that the red X's are marked over initial black marks, suggesting that the sites have been crossed off.


You can tell that the sites are spread out by kilometers. The map is not detailed enough to determine exact locations, so you suspect it will take time searching out the locations. Some may even be in submerged locations. You feel confident that engineering skill, great perception and swim talents will be useful in correcting the sabotage.

If I had to guess, all the things we need to solve this problem I lack severely. Well, we better get to it! Umberto is ready to undo the sabotage.

You do not need to be able to breathe under water. I can already tell you tell there is no danger and you can split up. Please check which skill you have highest and then tell me if you all want to roll for yourself or if you want to aid the roll of somebody else.

Gurkagh converses with the ocean spirits for a while and then heads off in the direction of what he thinks might be the right place.

Gurkagh, keep the reroll. This is a chase! So we roll multiple checks anyway and I will see those two rolls as your first two. I just wanted to get through the first phase of rolls and after you have aligned then start to roll for the next phases.
