Opal calls out to Evenstar and Isabella, Hey, don't worry, it won't catch you on fire. Those bombs are well contained. She smiles, pleased with herself.

Isabella shrugs "I have my sword in hand, why would I be worried?"
with her sword still in hand she start searching for any mirrors

Evenstar commences a search of the room.
"Let's see what these guys were up to." She stays away from the stink-eye witch's corpse while she searches, however. Just in case.

Jal, stil wary of attack, thinks back to their briefing. "We were told to find the slaver. A 'humanoid woman wearing a heavy veil and peering into a mirror. Her clothing is common in Kelish fashion' is how she was described." He looks down at the gnoll witch.
Does this gnoll witch match that description? and is there any indicator that she has a mirror in here?

Ludovico assists Evenstar in her search of the room, especially looking for a mirror or any ledgers or notes.
He says to her, I can assist you with that wand if you like.

IT appears that you go lucky. Had you not swarmed the gnoll and flind, a variety of mundane, yet frustrating traps awaited you. It's simple matter to circumvent these. That's when Evenstar discovers the hidden door behind a mundane bookshelf. THIS is what you're looking for.
You find a few things of note. Among the books on the bookshelf are several hundred pages of notes written in Kelish. These seem to be al’Jakri’s scrying records, a cross-reference of the slaves whose blood samples are in the chest (and which noble houses they serve), and a timeline of specific events she observed while watching them—all written in her own shorthand and describing only a fraction of the observations suggested by her marked map of Absalom Her desk also contains several large blocks of beeswax dyed a variety of colors. There's a map with innumerable pins and strings detailing the extent of her operation. You don't think it'll be easy to take the map, not impossible, but not easy.
Finally, you find the mirror... You've missed the traitor herself, but you've found your target! Jairo, now walks upstairs and greets you, "Before you leaves I wish to tell you that I remain bound to perform al’Jakri’s will but hope to meet you again under pleasant circumstances. I know not where she is."
A day after you depart the fortress, you have little difficulty securing enough basic provisions to get yourselves and the liberated slaves to Okeno. There, a ship awaits them to take you back to Absalom.
When you finally return, Ambrus Valsin debriefs you and lets you know that you have accomplished a great deal despite al’Jakri’s escape. He then debriefs you for several minutes about how the enchanted cedar chest performed in the field before concluding the meeting. He advises everyone to remain in Absalom for the next several days as he works with Lady Darchana to ensure she has all of the information she needs to predict the pasha’s next step.
Well done Pathfinders! The final fight did not go as I expected. Well done getting in there and wrecking the place before they could brign their powers to bear. I'll get you chronicles tomorrow night!

I was going to search the witch-gnoll for the binding-ring.
"I promised we'd free you," V responds to Jairo. "I'm very sorry. I consider this a personal disappointment."

"not at all. Worry not friend Vanzetti. In time I am sure we will find her."

GM, do you think this counts as "Recover blackmail or incriminating evidence against a named NPC aristocrat, noble, ambassador, or similar figure." ?
Otherwise
Isabella will use her time after the assignment to reinforce her political connections. Doing so requires a successful Knowledge (local) or Knowledge (nobility) check equal to 15 plus your character level.
Knowledge (nobility) DC19: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Reroll, 2 GM stars): 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 2 = 13
however she still has much to learn and talks to the wrong people.

Guang is quite happy to talk with Jairo, and even more glad they did not have to raise arms against the noble creature.
"I also will see if we cannot break the chain that is holding you," he promises the genie sincerely. "In time to come, yes? I thank you for your assistance, noble friend. The trail for now is cold, but maybe when we take these things to our employers, we can be making it heat right up!"
Guang takes the time to explore the complex thoroughly before they leave, ensuring that no slaves remain in the vicinity at all, but all are freed. He is exceedingly, and probably insufferably, cheerful on the way back-- dragging Korshad along in his wake, and telling the former slave of the many positive and noble life paths that he might now embark upon, freed of his shackles.

"I wish you the best of luck. My reasons are both selfish and altruistic, but these are not exclusive, no?
I'll give Isabella the blackmail check. Chronicles tonight. I'll close the thread sometime this weekend. Thank you everyone for a solid game, and I hope to see you on the boards for more!"

Jal watches the exchange between genie and his fellow pathfinders. "I don't like anyone not being free to make their own decisions, cara." He nods, "Hope to see you outside those chains."
Thanks, DM S. As always, it was fun. :)
