Not long ago, you where summoned to Gaki, in the Dragon Empires and asked to investigate a lost temple. You found the temple, and within the secret tht has been long forgotten, an artifact, touched by the divine called the Braid of a Hundred Masters. The Braid, given by Irori himself to loyal and worth followers of the way, had been passed from one master to another, but at one point, long ago, the students challenged the master in hubris, and lost. The final master tossed the Braid aside, knowing that none where worthy, and simply left. Each student tried to claim it, but each failed to access it’s power, and eventually the temple was abandoned. Retrieving the artifact for the Society, you later discovered that one master must pass it to another through an ancient ritual, and as it’s last master failed to do so, it is still bound to him, though he is long since passed from this world.
Amara Li has discovered that the final master, though dead, has a single descendant remaining, and in her is your last hope of reactivating the Braid. But, her divinations indicate a dark fate is about to befall her, and if she dies, there are none left that might possibly cure the Braid. You have been sent in a race against time, to locate the child before it’s too late. Given a ship by Amara herself, you traveled across the Sea of Eels, heading towards the village of Nesting Swallow to find a young girl, Li Yao, the last descendant of the final master, your last hope of reactivating the Braid before it it’s magic, it’s very divinity, is lost to the world forever. . .
