Couldn't upload picture so put in a link. Avatar i will use on this board's alias won't be the same of course. Didn't put any traits in as I don't know what the trait rules are. Assumed average starting gold for my purchases. Is that ok?

After reading up on the wiki link on the previous page, I have been sold on a Daoist (I know they are pronounced the same way but which spelling do you prefer? ) Oracle. I take it the ancestors mystery is the best equivalent?
Heavens, actually. :) Ancestors are for the diviners of spirits.

I am dotting interest, so close is in July? As for my character class path, Armored Archetype Soulknife/Aegis/Metaforge - Aberrant Aegis suit. The reason for the Armored Archetype is because the Aberrant Aegis suit is more like psychoactive skin and the armor protection comes from the Soulknife. Is this permitted? Are Psionic races permitted on top of the already permitted races?
Note: The Aberrant suit depending what powers were chosen would look something like the Independence Day Aliens wearing their bio suits covered in crystallized rock. How would that be viewed? ... LOL

As if you are an ogre or oni. That's how you you'd be viewed. :)

Hook swords are possible. Dragonborn enlightened monk is possible. Here are the rules for Dragonborn.

Hmm, does replace skill training trait mean the Intimidate Trait? I used CTRL+F to look for skill training and it is not in there verbatim.

Here is the basic info on my proposed "Wandering Monk" trope character...
It uses the Brawler Class from the ACG, but I could adapt to a monk easily enough if you aren't comfortable with the ACG classes. I like the brawler because its more of a martial class versus the monk which is more mystical.

• Bonus Feat (Core 27): You gain 1 bonus feat at 1st level*.

each level*.
Class Features
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A brawler is proficient
with all simple weapons plus the handaxe, short sword,
and weapons from the close fighter weapon group. She is
proficient with light armor, but not with shields.
Martial Maneuvers (Ex): At 1st level, a brawler can
spend a move action to gain the benefit of a combat
feat she doesn’t possess for 1 minute. The brawler must
otherwise meet all the feat’s prerequisites. She may use
this ability a number of times per day equal to half her
brawler level (minimum 1).
If this ability is triggered before the duration expires,
the brawler loses the previous combat feat and gains a
new one in its place.
If a combat feat has a daily use limitation (such as
Stunning Fist), any uses of that combat feat while using
this ability count toward that feat’s daily limit.
Martial Training (Ex): At 1st level, a brawler counts her
total brawler level as fighter levels and monk levels for
the purpose of qualifying for feats. She counts as a fighter
and monk for feats and magic items that have different
effects based on whether the character has levels in those
classes (such as Stunning Fist and a monk’s robe).
Unarmed Strike: At 1st level, a brawler gains Improved
Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A brawler’s attacks may
be with fist, elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a
brawler may make unarmed strikes with her hands full.
A brawler applies her full Strength bonus (not half ) on
damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes.
Usually a brawler’s unarmed strikes deal lethal damage,
but she can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with
no penalty on her attack roll. She has the same choice to
deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling.
A brawler’s unarmed strike is treated as both a
manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for
the purpose of spells and effects that modify either
manufactured weapons or natural weapons.
A brawler also deals more damage with her unarmed
strikes than others, as shown above on Table 1–5
The Basic background is that he was once a simple peasant blacksmith whose family was slain by bandits. He learned Kung-Fu in order to exact revenge and now travels the roads seeking out dangerous enemies to test himself on.

GM Elton does this satisfy your perception of modest living and 6 possessions max for vow of poverty (going to be tough but a monk is the most capable of it.).
Monk Outfit (Free, 2 lbs, 2 Items), Monk Spade (20 gps, 12 lbs, 1 Item), Common Pipa (5 gps, 3 lbs, 1 item), sack (1 gp, .5 lbs), and wooden bowl (1gp, N/A lbs, 1 item). He gave up a blanket for the pipa and I feel a monk should play an instrument as part of their meditation and role playing in general.
As far as gold, would 1 week of modest living be equal to no more than 5 gold? This includes all expenses.
