StephNyan, that poses an interesting question.
I haven't found a deity that approves of trophy hunting.
I had thought about if Muchiko would have worshiped a deity, but it wouldn't seem logical that, despite spending most of her life among an orcish tribe, she'd worship a god of orcish religion.
| StephNyan |
@Muchiko: You don't need a deity, so that would solve your problem. Also, you're allowed to worship an evil deity if you want one: one of those might approve. Just be within one step of the deity's alignment.
"Religion: Characters can elect to worship any deity listed in a table of gods in the Core Rulebook, The Inner Sea World Guide, Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Gods and Magic, or any other source listed as an official Additional Resource. Characters may elect to worship an evil god, but must always be within one alignment step of their chosen deity. For clerics, this is an especially important choice, since the deity’s alignment determines whether the cleric channels positive or negative energy, a decision with significant tactical implications for the cleric and her allies. Clerics, inquisitors, paladins, cavaliers of the order of the star, and samurai of the order of the star must choose a deity as all classes in Golarion that receive spells and abilities from a specific divine source receive their powers from a deity. Druids, oracles, and rangers are the exception to this rule. The list is not exhaustive, and divine spellcasters of any future classes whose sources are added as additional resources will be required to choose a deity unless otherwise specified. Otherwise, characters who do not receive powers from a divine source may choose to be atheists or to have no deity at all."

Yup, the alignmentrule i was familiar with.
I only looked up the short list on the pathfinder wiki.
She could have been an Erastil follower as a child, but with the orcs' lifestyle he wouldn't be so approving of her person anymore i reckon, despite returning to human society. :)

@Stephnyan Opening Locks with Disable Device is usually just a 20 plus your skill because you can retry as many times as you want until its open with no penalty but time. Trap is always a roll because you can get killed.

Oh! Now I see lol. Never used that map program before and thank you. It's actually really handy. :) Thanks for the help Mary!

I think I will hold off on responding again until StephNyan has time to respond along with Evan. ;)
Ya that site has some great pics and several tags too. :)

I just critical a rat in the face with my gauntlet...
If it had been my greatsword we'd have dead rat everywhere, a little on Muchiko, some in Mary's hair and Evan would miraculously avoid it due to splatter arc being higher than he is. Akin to Galgher hitting a Watermelon with a hammer... :)

What a waste of a double crit.

I know, the Lord of Iron looks down on me in Shame. :(
For the rest of the adventure I shall be rolling ones...

Lol
Oh and nice shooting guys. My character may have felt semi-cross (and seriously reconsidering his previous assumptions...) but we seriously kicked butt! Unless my punch somehow failed to knock that rat down... :( little did i know it was an Alpha rat. With advanced/eatgourmite templates. ;)
I like surprises. :D

I am building a fun Oradin. Demon Blood Tiefling. Strike 16 dexterity 10 constitution 14 int/wis 8/10 and character 18.
Doing a Oradin Pal/Oracle. Lunar mystery.
Exchanged the once per day casting the tiefling gets for the ability to wield a large weapon without penalty. Took exotic weapon proficiency Bustard Sword. (Large BS is +4 to hit, 2d8 damage +4 damage for strength. Trying to build it around a fun concept. But the large weapon may be a waste of a feat. I just like the cloud/anime/cheese it causes picturing a muscular/lithe horned woman with a blade as big as she is. :)
Also her revelation uses her cha as an deflection bonus and with defender of the society she starts with 20 (24 w/smite evil) ac at 2nd level. And a 2d8+4 (+4 smite evil) damage ability.
I don't optimize much i just thought this would be fun.

That's okay. Vitarri's used to punching those unworthy of his sword. >;-)
It was crazy that i crit though... Did NOT see that coming... Lol

Guys: How can you get the boat under the crate? From the map, there is a wood floor all around the hole in the warehouse. I suppose the only way to do it would be sink the boat, then bring it up from the water into the hole, or lift the boat out of the water, drop it into the hole (the boat looks too big for either option). But of course, once you have it there, how would you get it out? Sink it again?
The only way I can see the boat being useful is to pull it up to the south side of the warehouse, but it's still just at the side of the warehouse, it's not in the hole, meaning one way or another, someone is going to have to walk the plank to get to the crate.
Vitarri_Tyrim
|
oh so if the warehouse is Tall enough we may be able to fit underneath. However if Evan is up to trying to secure a rope to the crate or we utilize the crane I think Mary's rope idea would be safer then dropping it roughly.
The Lord of Iron blesses me with the skill to sail! I shall conquer this boat! lol
BTW good luck Evan hopefully I can get the boat over there quickly enough... >.>;

@Muchiko: HA!
Vitarri does has the tactics domain... XD no one ever said it had to be just for combat.
Although not to self. Mary is dangerous with a bow~ Do not make her mad lol
| StephNyan |
If you decide to search the crates you may find good stuff. Perception 15 or higher required. Mary and Evan had high Perception roles earlier when inside the warehouse and looking to see what was around them. If you wonder why they now find items all of a sudden, that's the reason.
The others, when succeeding on the roll, will get an item I choose. But as compensation for forgetting it earlier, Mary and Evan get to pick their items. (Maximum value, of course.)

Vitarri will search when he gets a chance thanks for the post StephNyan
@Everyone: ! Marks are because i am 20ft or more away from most of you, Vitarri isn't mad. :)

Hehe. Sitting in a boat is uneven true. Unless a rogue wave come... >.>
@Steph: lol my wife read the eyeball stuck to my gauntlet and was like @.@;;;. Lol
That oracle is for a kingmaker game I joined, once she is 3rd level I will take epaladin and she will get lay on hands and be truly nasty in a fight. Swift action cure self, as to buff move to draw weapons. It will be fun. I was trying out some of the suggestions from the x to y guide and from willimoak.
Although iconic Amiri gave me the large weapon idea, I just didn't realize that tieflings got the ability to wield large weapons possibly in exchange for spell casting 1/day.
However the build is primarily based around Cha bonuses. She can use her Cha bonus for a lot of things. Scion of war gives Cha to ini. Then oracle rev does Cha to AC. Normally I'm not an optimizer but I thought if I am going paladin, I best make it a cool one. ;) granted her sp are low sadly but what can ya do~
Btw I know we just started but Pfs isn't as bad as I thought it is really fun. Granted I have a lot to learn but still it's gonna be great I think. Hopefully we do more adventures together guys. :)

@Mary: so your divine hunter is going along the ranged tier feat path rot? That's pretty cool especially as your smite evil works with ranged attacks. :)
Best smite evil I ever did was with a ballista +explosive tip bolt. So much fun!
| StephNyan |
@Vitarri: Muahahaha! (As reaction to you wife being like @.@;;;)
There's a homebrew game where I use an oracle. Really love them, especially 'cause I like playing insane/weird characters.
I'm going to look up the Cha to AC thingy; might give a nice opportunity to make a non-squishy caster. I love playing pure casters, and I love barging into rooms. Those don't always work well together.
I'm glad you like the scenario! It's my first time GMing, and I really enjoy it too :)

Okay, here is one theory on how we could split loot at the end of the adventure (easier), or do it per encounter (a rather unusual way, but it's an option).
First, I tally up the total amount of valuable stuff via PRD:
1) Masterwork Thief Tools: 100gp each. So 10 sets is 1000gp value.
2) 3 flasks alchemist fire: 20gp each, so 60gp
3) Acid flask 10gp
4) Footprint book 50gp
5) Adamantine weapon blanch 100gp
6) Marked cards 1gp
7) Average loaded dice: 10gp each, so 20gp total.
8) Mary's steel Lamellar armor: 150gp
9) Evan's item: 150gp
10) Vitarri's item: 100gp
Total GP value: 1,641gp. Divided by 4 is 410gp (rounded). From that amount, deduct what you "claimed". So for me I'd claim the steel lamellar armor and I'd like to claim the adamantine weapon blanch, so it would be 160gp (410-250) of unclaimed loot. If I assume Evan claims a masterwork thief tool set, marked cards and loaded dice his total is 149gp (410-150-100-1-10) of unclaimed loot. By comparison, if Muchiko didn't claim anything, so she would get 410gp of all unclaimed loot.
This should keep it somewhat closer to fairness (since the market value of 410gp per character is the same), but I'm open to other options (this is just the option we use in my table game). Obviously, the difference is what you decide to keep versus sell, since selling is a 50% penalty. Hence it's always best to claim something that you can or might use. If people want to claim the same item, whomever has claimed the least amount (in terms of gp value) gets priority.
The worst thing with any roleplaying game is fighting over loot. So, if anyone wants to do it differently, please post.
====================================
For me, I'm claiming the Steel Lamellar armor (150gp) and I'd like to claim the adamantine weapon blanch (100gp) since it can be applied to 10 arrows. Clearly if Muchiko or Vitarri would prefer the blanch, they would get preference since their claimed total would be less.

No, Muchiko would rather fight head-on when it comes down to it. Sadly she's the only one not to find anything....dang you dice generator... :P
But she would like the footprints book and 2 flasks of alchemist fire. Which worths 190gp thusfar. Leaves 220 rounded to still get... :)

Vattari has no real use for a comp longbow it would be better with Muchiko.
If you want to use it for now Muchiko then by all means do so, besides I am armed with Javelins and Vittari doesn't want to waste time buying arrows. ;)
I would prefer to worry about the loot at the end and for now disperse the gear where it makes sense. Thieves tools with rogues. armor with frontliners, what weapons are more useful and what not. Then what consumables are left at the end won't matter and we can worry about the overall split when the tasks are done. ;)
I will kick out my spreadsheet and tally up the gear and such. It will take me about a day to find time but I should have it done by tomorrow at the latest.
We could just say what gear we don't plan on carrying is back at the Chapter house when we pass through if possible after this task. The other tasks are clumped together so yeah... That'll be harder to do.
Back when I played at a table my old Dm used to make us roll initiative and whoever got highest got to pick one item first and then the next person etc until it was back to the first person. Then if someone selected something you wanted, which happened on purpose, then you could barter for it and in essence but it off of them with your portion of the gold. Which most of the time was cheaper then buying from a shop.
It would take too long in pop unless we had msn messenger or something and just crushed it in a half hour but yeah...
