Hey guys!
Sorry, I got unexpectedly grabbed and repositioned across the water. My apologies for just dropping off the face of the earth. It sometimes happens.
I just read through all of this and am delighted to see it is still going and still maintaining hilarious tone.
Wanted to drop by and apologize for bailing in the first week without even saying 'bye'. It's NOT because I wasn't enjoying things.
Anyhow, have fun!!!

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Hey! Glad to hear you're alive and well! If you'd ever like to join back in, just let me know.
James

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Good timing! Sure, go ahead and roll initiative and in true goblin fashion, Ank-hore can wander up from whatever mayhem he was previously involved in. I'll put you in this round if you go ahead and post in the next day.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Ouch. I hope she's feeling better!
It's okay, we're dealing with the suicide of my predecessor at work, so it's been an odd week. I may be slow to post, but I promise next week will be back to normal.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Aww, poor kid. It's the worst when your kid is sick or injured. It's a special feeling of helplessness.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Well, it's not exactly Pathfinder standard, but I'm allowing you to use a Hero Point to essentially dictate the result of an action without rolling dice. Namely, you can say what happens, provided it can happen within a round.

Crang |

Our Mysterious Benefactor has offered us a chance to advance the campaign: I figure this might allow us to create a new set of opportunities, some ideas:
1. Goblin Island: We have settled an island, we wake in the morning to pteradon-egg sandwiches and rut with our wives, raiding merchant vessles and are perfectly happy, except for a longing for elf-flesh and more axes.
2. The Fleet: We have 3 or 4 boats and an army of goblins, orcs and other races.
3. Into The Volcano: We have found a treasure map to the island of dragon-y death. We refused to look at the words though, so all we saw is the big picture of a mound of diamonds!
4. For Zogmugot!: We have established a temple to zogmugot and draw goblins to use from all around.
5. Hmmm... that didn't go well: We have been captured by the elf, the dwarf and the shiny man. Because we were all very, very drunk after seizing a ship full of rum. We can't escape until we've figured out how to steal the elf... even as the gallows are being built.
6. A Whole New World: We have a big trauma when we try to group-hug a dryad as she disappears into her tree, now we're all in the first-world, rocking the fey-creature template and surrounded by singing tree, bubblegum flowers and grass so sharp it strips flesh.
Any other ideas?

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Heh, all those sound fun.
The reason for the jump is that I want you to enjoy the fruits of pirating, but I also want to introduce a linked series of adventures featuring little bits that I've introduced thus far. However, I need you a bit higher level and instead of running 17 pirate raids that all seem the same, I figured I'd let you write your two year hiatus, leveling your character or changing them as you see fit and go from there.

What if we had some Pteradon Riders as well, it might be cool to have a couple on each ship to attack from above.
2. The Fleet: We have 3 or 4 boats and an army of goblins, orcs and other races.
No problem or suggestion here.
3. Into The Volcano: We have found a treasure map to the island of dragon-y death. We refused to look at the words though, so all we saw is the big picture of a mound of diamonds!
Sounds Good Diamonds no reading check.
4. For Zogmugot!: We have established a temple to zogmugot and draw goblins to use from all around.
Sounds good set it up in a cove that will collect flotsom and where we can drown sacrifices to The Lady of the Last Breath.
5. Hmmm... that didn't go well: We have been captured by the elf, the dwarf and the shiny man. Because we were all very, very drunk after seizing a ship full of rum. We can't escape until we've figured out how to steal the elf... even as the gallows are being built.
I am not to keen on stealing the elf isn't the elf the one you wanted as your concubine. I am for revenge and the act of Drowning the Elf, Dwarf and the Shining Man to The Lady.
6. A Whole New World: We have a big trauma when we try to group-hug a dryad as she disappears into her tree, now we're all in the first-world, rocking the fey-creature template and surrounded by singing tree, bubblegum flowers and grass so sharp it strips flesh.
Nope Ank-hore hate bubblegum flowers
7. We could move from the Shackles Pirating up the coast towards other civilized areas and nations stopping the evils of reading and horses everywhere.
8. Having had a vision from the Lady Last Breath guiding Goblin Craftsman to create a Submarine.
Will think of more after the Rum Takes effect.

Splurg |

Our Mysterious Benefactor has offered us a chance to advance the campaign: I figure this might allow us to create a new set of opportunities, some ideas:
1. Goblin Island: We have settled an island, we wake in the morning to pteradon-egg sandwiches and rut with our wives, raiding merchant vessles and are perfectly happy, except for a longing for elf-flesh and more axes. "I like the pteradon fleet idea"
2. The Fleet: We have 3 or 4 boats and an army of goblins, orcs and other races. "We also need a human or elf to lord over if it's a ratty one..."
3. Into The Volcano: We have found a treasure map to the island of dragon-y death. We refused to look at the words though, so all we saw is the big picture of a mound of diamonds! I like it
4. For Zogmugot!: We have established a temple to zogmugot and draw goblins to use from all around. Preferrably in a temple to a goodly god who is none too happy... maybe a return of the group of heroes that tried to stop us before
5. Hmmm... that didn't go well: We have been captured by the elf, the dwarf and the shiny man. Because we were all very, very drunk after seizing a ship full of rum. We can't escape until we've figured out how to steal the elf... even as the gallows are being built. Somewhat in line with what I saw before this will give Whosi another chance at his elf woman
6. A Whole New World: We have a big trauma when we try to group-hug a dryad as she disappears into her tree, now we're all in the first-world, rocking the fey-creature template and surrounded by singing tree, bubblegum flowers and grass so sharp it strips flesh. I love the carnage chaos that this would bringAny other ideas?
Splurg will spend his time raising his baby pteradon and Spots of course. While studying any animal he finds to learn to turn into them.... and continue dreaming about having a goblin kingdom to call his own.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Honestly, any of the scenarios would work. When I plot out adventures in my head, I generally only have a starting point and an ending point. And in this case, just about any starting point will do. So, please pick the one that you guys like the best and we'll go from there.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Okay, so the volcano gets a nod of approval with a dash of The Heroes. Okay, let me go ahead and write up a Time Passes post. Go ahead and level up to 7th level and we'll start there.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Do you have a list of stuff to be ID'd? I'll go ahead and tell you what it is. As for other gear, each of you give me a wishlist of something you'd like that costs 7,000 gp or less. I'll give you the go/no go on each.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Alright, here we go!
-Potion = Cure Moderate Wounds potion

Crang |

A combat-trained dire-bat costs about 450gp.
Would it be possible to drop 800gp for a trained pteradon mount?
+1 greataxe 2320
+1 furious greataxe 8320
+2 agile breastplate 4550
gloves of swimming and climbing 6250
heward's handy haversack 2000

cloak of resistance +2 4000
boots of striding and springing 5500

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Trained pteranodons are easily found. Unfortunately, Splurg's baby turns out not be a pteranodon, but a yrthak. Given its age, it's a relatively young specimen after two years, only large size, but still very trainable.
Also, Crang, is that your list of things you own or things you want?

Crang |

OMB, they're things I want.
In terms of what he has, Crang is currently rocking...
Amulet of NA +1
Belt of Giant Strength +2
Armoured Coat +2
Pteradon-skull hat with a ruby in one eye socket
I still have the +1 Ghost-Touch Studded Leather on my sheet but I think I've given it to Whosi.

Our Mysterious Benefactor |

Okay, I'll ponder and put up the next chapter on Monday. I'm thinking it will be a bit long...
