Success:
The blade came down with a loud crunch, and came back up covered in sickening black goo. But one beetle was down, at least.

Failure:
After the first few swings it was plain that the beetle was much too fast for those kind of heavy strikes, and Rel was only managing to exhaust himself further.

Without a word Leman made a mad dash for the pit. He hit the other side with room to spare and turned tword them, holding up his Magnetic Winch. Don't worry about it Center. I got it covered.
Is the tunnel made of metal? Or is there anything metal around? If so I'll explain how, if we can work together, I can pull the statue into the pit. If not I'd like to use it like a rope by hooking one side to the statue and then holding the other to help them across.
