Hovering far above, Altha had to make a choice as she watched Agia fall then Kellog take a nasty charge from the chief. They were so close together... She could potentially just dive bomb them. She hovered a second or two before turning herself down to charge the Chief, screaming wildly before kicking the hat into a stronger setting as she stuck her feet out, aiming for the chief's neck as she let loose an onslaught, light flashing before her. Even if she couldn't connect, maybe landing on his head might do something.

I'm not really sure what all I can do in the same turn. I'm hoping she can dive and, once in range, attack with onslaught. If not, hoping to hit the chief's head hard enough to take out that last point of damage.

Onslaught, Physical. 4 Damage if it hits.

Here's hoping something of that is possible. If it's not, I'd like her to move downward far enough to get at the edge of onslaught's range and use onslaught.

An Resilient Nano who Wears a Sheen of Ice.

Agia hit the ground hard, pure animal instinct causing her to curl into a ball to shield her organs against the constant hail of blows. Despite her earlier bravado, now that the moment was upon her she found herself unwilling to die. Bleeding out on the ground, defeated and pathetic, there was simply no glory to be found. "Not like this. Not like this...". She drifted on the edge of consciousness, praying furiously not to the wind and sky that guided her people but to the cruel goddess of cold and frost that they cowered from in the night. "Lady of the Wall, deliver me from these monsters and I am yours!"

She sobbed, realizing that this cruel world had finally broken even her faith. Still, as her thoughts turned dark and her basic impulses fought for survival the cracks which marred her sheen of ice from the constant barrage began to seal themselves almost as fast as they were created.

Initiating full defense by curling up into a ball and concentrating on ice armour. Since Resonance field allows Agia to defend with Intellect, not Speed, I think this counts as a purely mental action. It'll negate the tiredness penalty on defense for the next round, at least. As I lack an attack esotery, I don't think there's much else to do.

A Honorable Glaive who Defends the Weak

Not sure if I have to activate the Bracelet once it's on Dreithik or not, given his condition so here is the complete intention of my actions and let them take as long as they take

Standing above Dreithik's body Kellog grabs his hand to activate the bracelet He at least has his mind together so perhaps he can manipulate the bubble He thinks. Then he moves toward Agia, the vision of Joyelle in his head blurring with Agia. He screams his rage toward the face of the leader Abhuman.

taunt leader(spending intellect effort -3 Int): 1d20 - 3 + 3 ⇒ (9) - 3 + 3 = 9

I am certain this will probably not happen next round which is why he is spending effort again, I'm also staging the next turn in any case b/c chaos happens I will edit if I get a chance
Standing above Agia he swings his sword at the leader
attack the leader(spending might effort -2 Might, only 4 damage): 1d20 - 3 + 3 ⇒ (20) - 3 + 3 = 20

A Honorable Glaive who Defends the Weak

If that 20 comes around and we are using optional rule to trade effect for damage

crit effect:

In a blood haze imagining Agia as Joyelle, Kellog leaps from where he crouches near her body heaving his sword in to the small of the beasts belly, carried away by his adrenaline and his strength his blow cleaves the beast straight up to his skull and rips the monsters head from his shoulder.

A rain of blood covers Kellog as the horned bloody head flies and lands with a thump amidst those that followed him.

There is silence for a moment and all that is heard his the rough breathing of the former simple man.

one can hope ;)

Altha landed hard in the sands, sending up a plume of drit and sand as she rolled, limbs flailing like a ragdoll. When she finally finished tumbling, she was so dizzy, she just sort of sat there, arrows broken and bleeding heavily in the sands as her hat continued to whizz and fizzle. Idly, she stared up at the sky and wondered at her poor decisions in life.

Breathing heavily, she was just glad that the majority of projectiles had pegged her limbs rather then her torso, so she wasn't likely to digest herself alive or drown in her own fluids. She could vaguely hear the mighty scream and wet, wrenching sounds of the Margr chief's head being severed and smiled at that - perhaps Kellog was mightier then he'd first seemed. Perhaps he might scare the rest off before they all died on the sands...

Panting, she looked around and focused her gaze on the nearest Margr, wondering if she could perhaps help the Glaive out before she entirely lost consciousness. She groaned, yelling obscene curses in the hopes of distracting the Margrs long enough to give Kellog an opening.

Distracting Margrs at V45 and W44.

Well, good luck Kellog! xD; I feel like this is the last few moments of a hard fought WoW Raid when the last few party members are within 2% of the boss' death lol

Dang, turns went fast. Let me catch up!

Tired, bleeding, confused and relieved, Dreithik collapsed in the floating bubble and thought, with all his mind power left, upwards, hoping that he still has enough power to move it.

Not bad at all. Dreithik can't talk, but I'm thanking you Kellog!

An Resilient Nano who Wears a Sheen of Ice.

Kellog's careful blow had ensured that the heavy body of the margr chieftain missed Agia as it fell upon sand. Still, she found herself less than a foot away from the ragged tatters of his neck as the final beats of his heart soaked the sand between them with blood.

Mustering what little strength she had left, she spat on the corpse in derision. "That's... *wheeze* ...what you get... ....you slime". Utterly disconnected, she was almost amused to see that the bloody sputum had contained a few of her own teeth.

She uncurled slightly to look at those of her attackers that hadn't fled, every part of the tiny movement utterly excruciating. One of them was fully goatfaced, while the other could have almost passed for a hairy human if not for the horns, hooves, and a prominently undersized brainpan. The expressions on their faces lingered somewhere between rage and terror.

Just then, possibly due to a combination of sleep deprivation and a likely concussion, Agia suddenly realized that these goat-men with their mismatched bodies looked unbelievably funny. She had spent so long fearing and hating margr that she'd never stopped to think about how ridiculous they looked!

At first she merely giggled but soon she was laughing uproariously, unable to stop herself despite every moment of it being a new agony. She laughed and laughed, tears running down her face and freezing to what was left of her armour, her mirth interrupted by the occaisional coughing fit as she hacked up more blood.

Unintentional intimidation of the surrounding margrs through utterly unhinged laughter and derision towards the chief. Difficulty should possibly be increased due to Agia currently being utterly helpless right now. It's also possible that it's just not intimidating at all, but it seems like appropriate roleplay anyway. :)

Kellog blinks off the blood from his eyes and continues to stand over Agia's body, the mad giggling allows him to see Agia for who she is.

Hearing the crash of Altha's numenera he thinks
Truth! I can't be in two places at once and all of this is because of my brash approach

He takes more defensive stance above Agia and stand's against the remaining Abhumans.

I may have made a mistake but...

You don't spend effort if you roll a natural 20.

How did you spend your intellect pool?

The goatmen retreated.

The goatment retreated.

Altha blinked a few times as she took in the sight of Kellog standing firm and the rest of the lackeys running away and laughed. It was the sound of a victory one hadn't expected and she hollered after them – or tried to at any rate. The effort was too much and she started coughing and curled up in pain. Damn, she thought. She'd expected to die here in this blasted wasteland of a desert... but nope, she was just bleeding out on the sands with a spent flying hat on the cusp of passing out. Not bad, considering.

She wearily raised a hand and pointed a finger at Kellog, “Next time, you take point, you bad ass.” Altha flopped onto her back and stared up at the sky, “Anybody have bandages? Or some healing cyphers?”

The nano fell quiet for several moments as the adrenaline began to fade and exhaustion set in, “Their tents might have something in them... I think you're the only one that can walk right now.” The arm she'd lifted up flopped over and fell heavily in the sand. “I'm also too damn tired.”

Then she remembered Dreithik and flailed a bit, wincing painfully, as she looked over at the bubble, shouting, “You alive in there?”

Holy crap! We lived! XDD Awesome! Does this mean I can roll the remaining recovery rolls for Altha? That takes us through 11 hours, though, if I understand correctly, and into another day?

Agia heard Altha but was slow to reply, and at first it seemed the girl with the corpse blue limbs laying sprawled out in a pool of blood had not survived after all. Then she had another coughing fit, which at least meant she was still breathing even if it indicated more troubles down the line.

Finally, she replied "If those priests are in there they should know how to help but since it's margr's that got 'em I wouldn't hold my breath. I wouldn't eat any stew I found, either. I have heard they sometimes keep those they take alive, though. Only way those savages know how to keep meat fresh."

"As for bandages, I've an odd stretch of fabric that grows over time in my satchel, by now there should be enough to make a few wound-wraps if someone can grab it."

...

Pulling out the tip of a bone knife that had broken off in her arm, Agia began doing what she could to staunch her bleeding from where she sat. She passed her hands from wound to wound, freezing the flesh until the syrupy blood stopped flowing. They would heal slow that way, but there'd be plenty of time to worry about that if she managed to not bleed out on the spot.

Finally satisfied with the very basic first aid, she cast her gaze back at the downed chieftain. "Anybody up for a cookout? The man-bits are no good but the goat-bits on Margr ain't no different than mutton. My clan would always have a big meal after we drove off some Margr. Elders say tha cooked blood in the meat replaces tha blood you lost, though I dunno how that's supposed to work."

"At any rate, we've got time. I don't think we're in any shape to travel anywhere tonight."

Agreed that we should do the eleven hour recovery though probably only after those tents have been checked. Since sleep still isn't an option Agia intends to kindle a fire and have a barbeque, so Dreithik should speak up if thinks he can get any useful info out of what's left of the chief. :)

Agia wrote:

Altha eventually sat up and dragged herself over to where Agia was sitting, the variety of arrow wounds in her limbs evident. Her legs were like pincushions at this point. "You said your pack?" She was moving very slowly as she found the aforementioned fabric and used a cast off shard of weaponry to slice a few compresses. With a smile of gratitude, the Nano set the fabric back, "You said they taste good cooked? Where are you from that you eat abhumans?"

The thought of consuming the goat bits intrigued rather than repulsed her and she looked at the chieftan's head. "I wonder if we can make the horns into drinking horns... Could saw them off and sell them, maybe."

Wearily, she began prying the arrow tips out of her, cursing like a sailor every time she had to dig deep. At least they weren't broad head.... the Margr apparently like to wound their prey rather then kill outright. Altha shuddered.

When she was done, a half dozen arrow heads lay beside her as she pressed the borrowed fabric to the wounds. It was going to be an absolute blast to walk tomorrow...

"Remind me not to anger you," She said to Agia at length, with a laugh, "Well fought."

The system allows for going from debilitated to hale in a fairly simple manner.

Use heal to recover 2 points difficulty 2 (6) and put those two points on the two pools that currently are at 0 and voila, you're hale. Very precarious but hale is hale.

Having a fist aid kit gives you an asset as well as being trained so maybe someone should learn some first aid.

I'll let Dreithik and Kellog post and then move you guys to the tents.

This was it guys; well done so now we're in wrap up mode but I don't want to hurry since this is good for character bonding and development.

The only caveat is that we have another PC just chomping at the bit to start playing with us so we won't take too long.

NEXT UP...

Coming up next is Devil's Spine, which is a significantly longer adventure arc. It will probably take close to a year to finish.

So I said I would ask this so I will. Will you be joining us with the same PCs or make new ones?

Please let me know as soon as possible so I can start working on the hook and beginning of the campaign.

Thoughts?

"The heart of Matheunis, in the shadow of the Wall. The margr would steal our umlan, so we'd make up the difference in margr meat. Margr breed like flies and eat just about anything, so even during a famine there'd be plenty around. Getting the meat's the hard part."

Altha Kein wrote:

Agia shrugged. "It's not a side of me I like very much, but the anger gets the job done. You didn't do half bad yourself. That flying around was some trick."

fabian wrote:

I had somehow missed that there was a healing action you could take. Since my post for the day describes a healing action, I guess I might as well roll for it, if I'm allowed to make one while debilitated (which I would suggest we allow for now to avoid just having Kellog patch us up for a few actions.

Intellect roll to heal 2 points of damage (target 6), Tired.
1d20 - 3 ⇒ (10) - 3 = 7
1 point to might, 1 point to speed

Regarding The Devil's Spine, I'd like to stick with Agia. However, I would like to know your opinion on how often Agia's overheat weakness will come up. While it was a lot of fun to roleplay her heatstroke for this mission, I could see it wearing thin for everyone over the course of a longer campaign. On the other hand, if it never comes up at all that isn't terribly interesting either. If you think it will never be relevant or will almost always be relevant, I'd consider a different descriptor, like Resilient. I'd be keeping her backstory, just framing her crunch a bit differently.

Well, there are no deserts nor do I think there are places that are extremely hot so I don't see your penalty coming into play. You could still roleplay the fact that some areas will be hot and Agia could experience mild discomfort but that's about it.

That being said, you could swap out descriptors as long as the flavor remains the same.

So Agia and Altha are in. I know Balanders is in (anxiously waiting).

Dreithik? Kellog? Are you guys coming along as well.
------------------

BTW: everyone will start out being Tier 1.5 meaning Tier 1 and 8 XPs to spend however you like.

I plan to distribute enough XPs so that you should all be Tier 4 by the end of the campaign, that is unless you spend your XPs in something other than leveling up, which is totally fine.

I'm recapping the turn right now and see the great job you are all doing regarding posting and involving other PCs in your posts. That way the PCs can 'answer' and also involve you or another PC back.

This way, the turn gets written into a nice chapter with very good PC interaction and development.

Action 2

Agia shook her head at the cooked meat and torn robes. "Well, there goes our payday, Dreithik. Poor bastards. Let's see if they had something to fix the temple after all."

Sifting through the piles of detritus and offal, she accidentally shook loose a green bean-shaped packet. Immediately recognizing it as some sort of explosive cypher, she dove and managed to catch it before it hit the ground. Examining it closer, it seemed to be filled with some kind of caustic fluid. Not the kind of thing any of them needed to be covered in right now. She gingerly placed it in her pocket to keep it safe for the moment.

Fed up with searching, she brought out the figurine from the temple. "Well? If your doohickey's around it'd be nice if you pointed it out." After a few moments of silence, she put it away and sat down in disgust.

From where she sat, she could see a faint glow coming from under a pile of rotting furs. Knocking them aside, she revealed a whole version of the broken cylinder from the faceted dome. It had a few glowing spots on it, and it seems the Margr had covered it up when they were getting ready for the night.

"Looky here! Slot this drakka into the temple and I bet we'll all be able to finally rest!" In her excitement, she stumbled and almost fell over. "Tomorrow, though. Sleep or no sleep we'll need a break before we go back there.

I took the detonation cypher since Agia doesn't do much damage so an attack cypher seems well suited to round her out.

It occurs to me that being skilled in Numenera might make it easier to operate the Lightning Rods. If so, Agia could take that instead, since she's the only nano in the group who has to be in immediate range to attack anyways. She'd happily swap the detonator for it if that was the case. However, if being skilled in numenera doesn't make a difference it might be better if it goes to someone who can take the hits while they try to get it working.

...

As the party prepared to rest for the night, Agia borrowed some coals from the dying fires of the margr and combined it with some rags and braids of desert grass to make kindle her own cooking fire away from the worst of the stink. Carving up the chieftain's goat leg, she twisted strips of meat around some of the crooked arrowshafts that were left from the battle and speared them in the nearby ground to cook in the heat. The meat didn't smell much better than the camp until it really got cooking, but soon it indeed didn't look much different than normal goat meat. Agia licked her lips, after days of boat food and travel rations fresh meat would be a treat.

Once she'd had her fill, she sat back, nursed her wounds and waited for morning, eager to put this whole debacle behind her.

When she saw the interior, Altha groaned, “All that fuss for dead meat eh? I guess that paycheque you promised isn't coming through then... hm? She'd be lying if she said she wasn't disappointed. The butchered priests were, well, gross, but there was nothing she could do about it now. She couldn't talk to the dead.

“Hey! They've got some cool stuff in here!” They'd fashioned a sort of pair of crutches for her to wobble about on and she was making good use of it, riffling through the junk. A headband fell out from under a bunch of rotted fabric, clunking on the ground. It looked fashionable and compact, and hard to guess at what the function might be so she took it for further inspection later.

"Altha, you say you are good with machines. Do you think you will be able to repair the thing?"

“Assuming nothing else tries to eat me alive, I should be able to do something of use, yes. The temple had a port, really, and I imagine this won't be too difficult to reintegrate into the systems. If nothing else I can try to get it talking and see if the old boy has any advice.” She grinned, pleased to be of service – the tinkering was her forte, not this fighting stuff.

She wandered over to sit near the fire Agia had started, her crutches splayed out beside her and took out the head band curiously. There was fabric similar to the hat she wore... which probably meant it hid mechanisms too small for the eye or used invisible means of communicating with the world. Experimentally, she put the headband on for a heartbeat or two to see if it had anything special to offer.

Her hat sat in her lap, bent and damaged from her fall. She could salvage the parts, maybe... which lead her to thinking of repairs and spun into a few candle marks of tinkering as she used the shreds of her trousers and the material covering her hat to fashion a strap for the goggles. It turned out pretty exemplary and she grinned as she set them on her head. “Sensory array deployed!” She said to no one in particular.

When the goat was ready – and it smelled like actual, normal meat! - Altha hungrily helped herself to a portion. It was surprisingly tasty, not at all what she'd expected. “This isn't half bad Agia!” She said around a mouthful of meat, “I'll have to remember this. What's Metheunis like? I haven't been that far south before... s'that why you've got the frosty thing going on?” The nano tore another chunk out of her skewer.

With a fully belly and an aching body, Altha eventually took to tending her wounds as best she could before just laying in the sand and staring at the stars between what few moments of sleep she could get.

I took the headband because I feel it fits Altha's character the most. She's more of an intellectual then a warrior so having something that improves her knowledge suits her well, especially in combo with the goggles. If anybody disagrees, just let me know!

Additionally, I'm assuming the flying hat is spent and inoperable now? It's hard to tell when it comes to things like that.

Recover 3 & 4/4: 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2, 1) + 2 = 5

GROSS recovery roll :( 2 to Might, 2 to Speed, and 1 to Intellect.

Considering that I still have 0 in speed, and the only rests I have available are the longer ones, am I actually able to go one with them to the Margr camp?

Edit: Nevermind, if Altha is in the same shape, so it seems fine.

Yes, one heal check per 28 hours with the number of points healed equal to the task difficulty. See post #567 above.

I'd like to move this along today if possible...

Game on!

Female Human An Empathic Nano who Talks to Machines

I've been looking at options for the Tier 1.5 reset we're doing and I'd like to keep the Intellect Edge and spend the other 4XP on the Aggression Esotery.

I do have a question, though, are we rolling from this scenario straight into the next and preserving the character connections? If we are, then I'll just build the new esotery into Altha's personal development.

"Well, there goes our payday, Dreithik."

He looked solemnly to the burnt bits. "...Damnit. Our only hope is fixing that machine now.. Maybe the town'll pay us for that.." I should probably try and find out what these people knew of fixing that thing, but I may not be able to in this shape...

When he joined the rest at the fire, he cringed as he sat down and spoke up. "I.. may not have been useful in the fight if not an absolute burden.. but I do have a power that might be able to help us.. if it would be permitted..." He looked around anxiously, awaiting a reply.

Female Human An Empathic Nano who Talks to Machines

Altha looked up when Dreithik spoke, tilting her head as she sewed, "Oh? Sure, what can you do?" When she thought about it, the Nano actually didn't know what the other did... he certainly wasn't much of a fighter! Maybe his talent lay elsewhere.

She leaned over, looking over his clothing for tools or other indicators of a talent, "What can you do? I'd like to see!"

Just going to assume people are like "Wowie, you can actually DO something? what ever could it be?!" and continue

He stared into the fire, choking on his words. "...I.. can try and talk to the Priests.. as they are now. Can probably ask them a question.. If I were to do this, what should I be asking?"

Yes, we're going straight into the new scenario. Magic. :)

But we'll have to work together (all of us) to make it plausible why the group bonds together and travels to the Uxphon in the Black Riage, which is pretty far away from where you currently are.

Start thinking and posting your thoughts.

Game on!

If I go talk to the Priests, they could mention somethin about going to the black raige?

Female Human An Empathic Nano who Talks to Machines

"Ask them where they got the replacement. Or why the original was damaged." Altha chimed in, unsure of how one might actually talk to the priests... "After all the trouble we've been through, I don't want the stupid dome starting up again."

Charmonde, near Uxphon, has those interesting barrier generators. Perhaps one of the Priests has linked the kind of tech found there and in the dome?

Turn 043 is up.

Read the OOC.

Questions, comments, and/or suggestions?

Game on!

I'll let the others think over my proposition. I can ask up to 2 questions comfortably.

Er.. I'm not too crazy about the accidental teleportation thing but how about if 'god' sends you a message?

Do we have at least one PC gullible and scared enough to answer?

Female Human An Empathic Nano who Talks to Machines

I didn't mean teleportation, actually, more like matching the type and components or something. Agia seemed rather spiritual and/or superstitious... and Altha talks to Machines, if it comes across as a voice of the machine, she'd listen and strike up a conversation. :3

I'd even be up for her empathy and talks to machines aspects combining with her relative difficult with mental defenses to result in the 'god' of the machine speaking through her somehow.

Tough Glaive who Performs Feats of Strength

Balanders could be trying to get jobs with merchants/nobles in Uxphon - maybe he goes on a mission/scavenging run and activates some sort of device that is networked across the world and the party interprets the ping as a sign

edit - other parties could receive the ping as well as future hooks for antagonistic encounters

Female Human An Empathic Nano who Talks to Machines

When they finally stumbled into the cool interior of the temple, Altha sighed hugely and draped herself across one of the boxes that had been abandoned there, glad for the relative coldness of the metal. She set her hat beside her with a sigh – the item hadn't worked despite her attempts to fix it... whatever had powered it just wasn't working anymore. Altha patted the cypher specimen and decided she would leave it at the location as a mark of her presence. Someday, maybe, someone would come to know that she'd been here and done something good.

One could hope.

She chuckled as she set it carefully on a pile of other things before turning to address the group, “So. If I recall correctly, this will work if we just slot that component into that port.” Altha gestured at the consoles, “I can take care of that if you like? We can also drop anything we don't need here too, I think, sort of a peace offering for whatever this station is relaying information to.”

Altha wandered over to the consoles, observing them for a moment just to confirm the gadget they'd found was, in fact, the gadget they needed. She also checked for any particulars regarding the actual interfacing of the two devices, pouring over the console and the cylinder.

Machine Affinity Check (Trained): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Checking to see how to properly interface the components and verify the cylinder fits the dome.

edit - Oou, I like Balander's suggestion and it ties in well with the 'god' aspect too.

A Honorable Glaive who Defends the Weak

Kellog looks up at Dreithik with a furrowed brow, "You can talk? to them, guidance on the cylinder perhaps, but mostly how to find Priests for Redstone, Numenera is plentiful and they were the best prepared to help Redstone defend against it"

I figure this can feed Kellog and the party a quest to head up the Black Riage or elsewhere to find Aeon Priests to settle in Redstone and at least get us moving in the direction of the next adventure

---
At the dome when the cylinder is replaced Kellog contemplates his prior sacrifice, remembering the recent conflict and picks up the crystal detonation, Gemma had far more forethought than I.

----

After returning home Kellog discussed his travels letting his folk know that he was reluctant to leave his new-found companions to their lonesome given the dangers that are out in the wastes. He also stated that someone from Redstone should be there to petition the Priests on behalf of the town. The priests and travelers were always most interested in the mines in the village.

He made no actual commitment to return and Joyelle was most understanding.

I'll develop these a little more and write them out but here's what I am thinking for starting the new adventure:

Balanders: waits in Uxphon and is seeking a way to investigate what happened to his pal, still owned by his former owner Baron Tychronus

A rival noble will hire the party and Balanders and suggest a course of investigations.

Agia: something will activate inside the temple marking a location near Uxphon. Agia believes this is the god and goes to this place (whether out of fear, respect, whatever is up to Agia).

Altha: helps interpret the message from god that Agia received and is very intrigued as well so she tags along.

Kellog: tasked to find new Aeon Priests for Redstone decides to tag along as well since he hasn't been outside of his home town. He's told that he's bound to find some priests along the way.

Dreithik: bonded to group and will also get a message but from a dead priest (once he talks to them).

We can expand on these but what do you all think?

Tough Glaive who Performs Feats of Strength

Works for me - I'm thinking that I probably only earn my freedom from the gladiator pits just days before the party arrives in Uxphon, so I am still a bit confused about what all is going on. Also the disappearance of Modou could be a fresh wound, or something that hasn't happened yet and that I discover while I am with the party. Perhaps the noble that hires us can reveal that he had a hand in my release as well - he wants me to serve a higher purpose than entertainment/ sees a way to make money from my strength - kinda thing. Let me know what y'all think and I will write up some more fluffy bits - if you guys haven't looked yet I wrote a bit of a backstory for my character to explain how I got to Uxphon (in my profile)

Female Human An Empathic Nano who Talks to Machines

That also works for me!

A Honorable Glaive who Defends the Weak

Works for me.
BTW I'm spending 4xp on Might Edge (making it 2) Goad would be nice to have for free
