:)
I'm in the process of finishing up a couple freelance projects, so that's been taking the bulk of my time and I don't really want to start S&S until I can clear up a little of that (which I hope to actually do by the end of this week -- I finished the bulk of the work on Project 1 today, and hope to have Project 2 finished tomorrow).
I also need to reread the first section of the module at least once more, as that's one that I think will take a lot of work.
And finally, I still need character concepts from Bombadil and Painlord, I think.

Hektir asked me about build details; they'll be the same for this game, which you can find in the first post of the discussion thread.
My standard rules: 25-point buy, average wealth to start, 2 traits (though we'll have to wait on those until we know what they are, obviously), anything from the PRD is fine. I'll consider non-PRD stuff ion a case by case basis. I prefer core races, but I'll consider stuff from ARG based on your story (but I don't really want a party of 1 human, 1 gripple, a catfolk, a suli and a wayang).
Ayep.
I have my yahoo and will be brushing it up this weekend. It will be mostly CORE (that is, core rulebook and traits, & Sk&Sh player's guide). But there is a small chance I will go with an unchained version of a Core rulebook class.
My race will be one of the 'normal' ones.
Yar, me be ready to set sail this weekend if need be.

I'm currently rereading the S&S adventure. If you guys want to send me slightly more detailed write-ups of your characters (builds, appearance, back story/motivations, etc.), we'll be that much closer to starting. :)
Sent. My yahoo is a Core Rulebook + S&S players guide + traits build. Race is a standard one too.
/me spits.

Silly Hektir and his CRB elitism!
I've sent my CRB race + APG trait + Player's Guide trait + UM class + UC archetype + UE inventory along as well! I used the ARG for all the race references while building him though. =P
All kidding aside, like I'd said before I really do like to incorporate the Core Rulebook into all my characters, either as their race or their class. Sometimes, a character concept comes together and it just so happens all the parts are scattered throughout the whole of the hardcover line. That's how it was for me in this case, and I really like what I came up with. I hope you goobers all wind up liking him too!

Mott, just an FYI, after mulling over my S&S dude, I reconsidered his non-campaign trait and his starting feat. No huge changes, just ones that I think fit my character more thematically now: getting him access to a class skill he didn't have before and developing his ability to concentrate at the cost of having Dodge.
Hopefully his super crappy AC won't get him killed before he starts to really shine. =)

I'm sure the questionable choices of his shipmates will get him killed MUCH earlier than that, Mal!
+1 if you meant to imply that my shoddy Core build will get him killed. That's a yes.
+1 more if you meant that the Pirates choices in Shanghai'ing yahoos like my yahoo are going to get Mal's yahoo killed. Again, the answer is likely 'yes'.
+1 if you meant both meanings.

Of all the days to get knocked around in the office... o.O
Dude, your new office is about to be the S.S. WhipWelt where you'll be lucky to have time to complain about the poor hygiene of your fellow shanghaied.
Better toughen up. This won't be a snowy walk frolic like you're enjoying now.

The craziness of Lollapalooza 2015 has descended like drug-induced haze over here in Illinois. I will be largely off-grid in downtown Chitown, losing hearing to Paul McCartney and Metallica. GMPC as necessary :)

Actually, this upcoming hardcover holds 0 interest for me, alas. Even if it did, I don't think I'd be breaking down doors to get my hands on it asap. I've been disappointed by a seemingly increasing amount of errors that have slipped by editting since Ultimate Combat and I've decided to wait for 2nd printings.
I violated my own rule with the ACG when it was released so that I'd have it available for my guys up at our annual cabin retreat and that was a near total bust, sadly. The base classes seemed largely fine, but the archetypes were riddled with issues. My players were so collectively disappointed they voluntarily ignored it as a resource during character creation. =(

Dude! Just had lunch with Pems @ GenCon. He's much taller in real life. It was good to meet him in real life and he's a nice guy. Funny as all piddlespot.
I refused to promise to not eat Flash.

Just because Hodge Podge is an author I might check out Occult Adventures, but I wasn't excited by the description of the book and will have to flip through it at the game shoppe before considering a purchase. I do like the idea of an Occult sourcebook for game building, but it seemed like more of a Psionic Handbook.
Lucky GenConners!
Hektir the Tracksmage
Didn't realize you were at GenCon too, Pain.
Ayep. I didn't tell anyone so I could waylay people like Pems. I've found and met a slew of PbP people that didn't know I was coming...and a lot of non-PbP people too.
But I'm not GMing 8 or 9 slots (unlike *some* halflings) and so I have time to screw around and keep my posts up. Also, I have time to snark.

I think what I like about it (and I guess maybe psionics/psychic magic in general, though I haven't played it that much) is I feel like it lets you do a little more of the "accidental adventurer" kind of character, which is a trope I really enjoy.
With some of the other classes, thanks to it feels more like you already have to start out as if not an adventurer, someone who's already got some talents. I feel like some of these classes, I can have it make more sense that I have powers because the spirit chose me or some such rather than I've been studying wizardry and now am going out to adventure.

So it has been brought to my attention that this module may not be peoples' favorite part of the AP. It is a bit dungeon crawly, though I'll admit I hadn't picked up that feeling from any of you.
If you'd like, though, I can try to trim it down and get us on to the next couple chapters, which I think are pretty awesome.
I have absolutely no strong feelings either way on the topic, so it's 100 percent up to you guys.
Quinn Kestrel
Yea, the sandbox dungeon where you can reach the end before the middle is funky, but I trust Mott to guide things in the right direction. I don't think I've ever ran a Paizo AP true to what was published, there's always something that gets modified or changed. The first module of GiantSlayer is the worst for that, I made significant changes to every step of it.
Hektir the Tracksmage
I don't feel like Hektir knows what we're really looking for, nor what it looks like. He is enjoying stuff so far, but it's very confusing at the same time.
I trust you Motte to adjust (or not) as necessary. It does seem like every room has a fight and nothing makes sense yet, but maybe we just need to bungle and prod until something happens that makes sense.
Malavarius King
I arrived at the office today to find that Paizo is now blocked =(
This rather hampers my access and ability to post, sadly. I have a pseudo workaround in mind (tethering tablet to phone), but I'll still be stuck at just one or two brief windows during my breaks as far as business-hour posting is concerned.
Also, using my phone for this blows! My giant gorilla thumbs were never made for such precision!
