Lisbet slips into line with Olive, her shield is held straight in front of her as if to lock with brothers and sisters to each side. Using her height to advantage she swings her heavy blade down over top of her round shield, driving towards the hideous looking devil spawn. The blade bites, but not as deeply as she had hoped. With a grunt she yanks the yard of steel free and returns to her guard. "Keep them bottled up so they can only hit us one at a time!"

Shackleton's wolverine will materialise in the north of the chamber, viciously tearing into the nearby devil. Provided it can fit into that square north or northeast of Olive. If it's possible to move before I complete the casting I could also summon it down the hallway to the rear.
Shackleton, his magics useless against the devil's resistances, begins to bark at his wolverine in common. "That's the spirit! Give it the ol' one-two!" he shouts, shadow-boxing as he does so.

Lisbet's and Philgor's blows slice into the nearest lemure, damaging it badly and making it easy prey for Olive to destroy, its body beginning to melt away almost instantly.
As the second steps up, the newly appeared wolverine tears into it, its claws seeming to tear through it unnaturally, and rips it to shreds before it has a chance to react.
The third devil steps up, swiping ineffectively at the wolverine.
Behind you, Vegazi sets up a read guard, seeming unwilling to push past the bottleneck in the hallway.
The wolverine turns to savage the next fiend, but without the divine spark behind it it's claws cannot penetrate the fiends rubbery hide.
Shackleton, knowing a cornered beast is more dangerous, flings a pebble at his summoned servant, but only succeeds in sending it echoing down the quiet hallway. improvised ranged attack into melee:1d20 + 6 - 8 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 8 = 10Damage:1d3 ⇒ 1

Philgor and Lisbet's blows rock the devil as the multiple roars rawrs echo through the catacombs.
The wounded devil claws back but isn't able to do more than scrape Lisbet's armor before you're able to put it down. It has few enough hp that I'm going to call the fight; not worth doing another round.
Among the lemure's remains you find a glass vial filled with liquid, a flask with more liquid, a beautiful brooch worth 300 gp, and 122 gp, 66 sp, and 83 cp
You can also see there's one more chamber behind you, but ahead it stretches farther than you can see.
"Olive," the half-elf asks, "Can you scout the passage behind us so nothing comes up behind us?" Lyra points her arrow down the other (right?) passage, guarding the point the devils came from.
"Is anyone able to see if these things will aid us in finishing this strange night?" Lyra asks, referring to the items while she keeps watch.

Yes, Shackleton.
Ornate stone sarcophagi line the floors of this wide chamber. In the center of the crypt, four sarcophagi surround a large iron brazier. Passages lead from the western side of the chamber, and a collapsed tunnel to the south appears to be unfinished.
Near the rubble of the collapse, you see a woman searching, alongside a flaming hound, both of which turn as they hear your entrance.

"It be'a hellhound! Keep a' distance b'tween each other!" Lisbet gives the order to her shield brothers and then begins chanting arcane words as her haunts begin to become semi-visible, yanking her hair and her belongings as if trying their best to stop her!
Lisbet begins intoning a prayer as her companions creep into the room.
Argus -- having been relieved by another guard above and raced to catch up -- shoots a bolt that catches the hellhound in the shoulder, immolating in its flame. Lyra fires an arrow of her own, which deflects off the tiefling woman's armor. Shackleton's ray of frost also hits, but seems to have almost no effect on her the cold barely touching her form.
Philgor and Olive take up defensive stances as Vegazi moves to the far end of the room, peppering her sister with an arrow.
"No, she is another sister. She hunts me, I think," the half-orc answers Lyra.
The hellhound lopes forward, breathing out a cone of fire that catches Olive. 9 fire damage; DC 14 Reflex for half
Behind it, Ogash pulls out a small ball of golden twine; she growls a word in a strange tongue and the twine suddenly begins to unroll, one end snaking toward Argus. Need a DC 13 Reflex save or...
If the save fails:
At the twine’s touch, all of the bindings of any containers Argus is carrying (packs, pouches, sheaths, quivers, and so on) come undone and all their contents are swept up in a whirlwind, performing a madcap dance around the target’s head. Anyone can grab an item as it spins by succeeding at a steal combat maneuver (Pathfinder RPG Advanced Player’s Guide 322) against a CMD of 12. In addition, the spinning objects obstruct the target’s sight; other creatures gain concealment against attacks made by the target. The equipment moves with the victim, whirling around her head for 3 rounds before falling to the ground.
A poltergeist knot affects laces and buckles only on exterior containers—bottles in a pouch or a bag of caltrops in a backpack, for example, are swept into the whirlwind but don’t spill their contents.
Gritting her teeth, Ogash lets out a primal roar, seeming to become more bestial as she does. She's raging.

Today I learned that the Core Rulebook wagon is cheaper than any of the three wagon options in Ultimate Equipment.
If we have six bodies, weighing 200lbs each when you include gear, that's 1,200 lbs, plus Argus's supplies and mule feed and whatnot. A 'light' wagon won't carry that. A 'medium' wagon could carry that, and the requirement of two mules/horses (i.e. Large-sized beasts of burden) implies he has a medium wagon, but a medium wagon costs more than twice what Argus paid.
And the Core Rulebook, 35 gp wagon has no firm weight or volume limits.

I'm leaving Monday for a trip to see my wife at med school in the Caribbean. I'll be posting tomorrow, but then I don't expect to have access until late Thursday/Friday.
I'm going to strongly suggest that Philgor make a break for it. A Tiny imp shouldn't be too hard to Overrun and get some breathing space. (Since since they have no reach, there's no need to worry about their AoOs.)
Shackleton's go-to against high AC opponents like these would be his produce flame SLA, but them being devils and all that's not an option. Until 2d6 sneak attack and finesse training next level. Drawing them out into the hall where we outnumber them is probably a good call.

Philgor would not run in this situation. He knows you guys are on the way and he still has a lot of health left. I think they are after something I have and I am not about to let them get away with it until I find out what it is.
You wouldn't be fleeing from a fight though, you'd be forcing your way out of a tight corner with a 6-second action and tactically regrouping with your unit. I think it's best we use our numbers to our advantage rather than let them have the edge in tight quarters.
Maybe for an animal, but isn't a giant ant Vermin?
(One thing to note, though, is that summoned creatures attack 'to the best of its ability.' It could decide to bull rush on its own, if its limited intelligence thinks that is the best course of action.)

Sorry, guys, I was going to have Ingrid channel but she doesn't have Selective Channeling, and I thought you all would rather NOT have her heal the devils too.
ETA: Lyra, note the one gaav threatens you if you use your bow.
Yeah. We've had some bad luck - Philgor just hasn't been able to hit, and he's the guy who should just be able to push through DR. Shackleton has had some bad luck with tumbling into tactical positions.
On top of that, we have a bunch of characters who aren't well suited to fighting devils - Argus's bombs only do fire damage*, and while he has some holy water now it isn't going to be enough to end the fight on its own. Lyra's summons are nature's ally, not monster, so they can't be Celestial and get an aligned smite. Ingrid is a LN cleric of a LN deity, so even if she had align weapon it's kind of weird.
*:
And he doesn't have the knowledge skills to know what would be helpful. It's kind of metagaming that he grabbed burst jars and thunderstones instead of trying liquid ice first. And even if he did have Knowledge(Planes), Shocking Bomb isn't a discovery I'd want to be stuck with forever, and bottled lightning doesn't get any benefit from his class Throw Anything.
And we haven't had a chance to rest and reset our choice to be more effective. Assuming we survive this, we can (consulting at the Iomedaean temple if no one in the party has the right Knowledge) kit out - backup silver weapons and holy water. Argus can make Silver weapon blanch, bottled lightning, and fill his pellet grenades with silver pellets. Ingrid can prepare or buy scrolls of align weapon (is it weird that a LN cleric of a LN deity can infuse a sword with pure Good? Yes. Will I put that aside to not just die? Also yes.)
But for right now, we need to push through.

Good points.
Also (re: taking shocking bomb), keep in mind that we're not doing a Cheliax AP or Second Darkness or what have you. While this adventure may be a bit more devil heavy, the next ones may not be.
I didn't know much about Daughters of Fury - since we're set next to Belkezen I kind of figured we'd see orcs before devils.
But, yeah. If I knew we'd be facing 15 levels of Devils, I'd have Argus take Shock Bomb at level 4 without hesitation - getting damage through is important.
As is, I'd be torn between the other damage type variants (Frost Bomb and Acid Bomb have better rider effects, as well as being easier for me to reconcile with real chemistry), or something generally more useful like Infusion, which would allow Argus to pass out buffs and cures.
Argus's to-do list if we live through this:
Break out the healing kit and stitch up some wounds (I have the feeling Ingrid's magic won't be enough.)
Brew fresh extracts
Brew a replacement potion of cure light wounds
Examine the potion of cure moderate wounds in his formula alembic so that he knows that extract when he gets a new spell level
Start work on anti-devil items (bottled lightning, silver weapon blanch, transforming fuse grenades into silver pellet grenades...)
Likewise. Shackleton's at a bit of an awkward spot before gaining dex to damage and his second sneak attack die next level. I also haven't got shocking grasp prepared, as I'd intended to fill my slots with utility spells and rely on my racial produce flame, but again... fire.
Another alchemical item Argus will make up a bunch of - Tanglefoot bags. They can make devils that fly with wings (like, i dunno, gaavs and imps) crash.
So, today's lesson in how the Core Rulebook Craft rules are broken: Argus has a +13 Craft check to create alchemical items. His lab gives him another +2. If he drinks an extract of crafter's fortune beforehand, he gets another +5, for a total of +20. Not bad for 3rd level.
That means he gets a 30 when taking 10. A tanglefoot bag has a DC of 25. So taking 10, he makes a progress of 750 sp a week. His Swift Alchemy class feature doubles this, to 1500 sp a week. So in a week of work, he can complete three tanglefoot bags. Three.
A magical crafter could have converted 3,500 gp of components into a 7,000 gp item in that time. For a +5 DC, he could have done twice that. But Argus gets to spend a week turning 50 gp of components into 150 gp of items.
So I don't know how much prep time we're going to have, but Argus can't supply the arsenal of Bottled Lightning and such that I was thinking of.

I'll ask again, if you're going to drop the game, please let me/us know. I promise I/we won't be mad.
Also -- and more importantly -- let me know if there's something you're not enjoying. I know we're off to a bit of a rough start with dicebot making these fights a bit more tedious than I think they're meant to be but the idea is we should all be having fun. If that's not happening, let's see what we can do to rectify that.
Would the 'fight fire with fire' technique apply here?
For instance, would Argus stand any chance of success blowing the fire out with a burst jar implosion?

You already have a minute or two while Argus and Philgor get their armor from 'donned hastily' to merely 'donned'. Means reduce person will probably wear off, but those are the breaks. I'd get Olive. We could definitely use the heavy firepower.

What Ross said re: timing...
Also, FWIW, the holy water was left on top of the bar. You can deduce someone left it in their flight from the inn, along with the other items (the silver raven, the cold iron dagger and the sack of powder). Of course, it still means someone was in the inn with all of that, but it's not like it was an anti-undead/devil shotgun under the counter. :)
(Though with the proximity to Ustalav and Belkzen, maybe it should have been.)
