Adding a level of ninja. Took Telling Blow as a feat and 11 skill points. Saves, BAB and ability scores do not change. Sneak Attack dice increase bny one, and ki pool doesn't change.

Indeed, I had wondered about your vanishing. As much as one does about about a ninja.

Technology hates me, and that combined with foster care really put a crimp in things. but a new lap top helps, and the excitement of Dan's Gen Con game (which I renamed from 'to sand!' to 'suck it, Ravenna') reminded me how nuch I missed this game.

Fair warning, though. I love Imuri, so I'm coming back hard.

A few questions now that I understand ninja a little better:

Did we agree on a time requirement for Ancestral Relic? Imuri has roleplayed kata, meditation and flashback scenes. Is it acceptible for his katana to have grown?

I haven't seen Ultimate Race Guide errata. If ny favorite class is ninja, may I use the rogue option to buy 1/6 a ninka trick?

Bethany didn't mention her missing stuff. Imuri plans to imperiously donate some of it to the party. We never talked about whether she needs it back or you intended it to be loot. Am I free to make decisions about that or will that frustrate you since you probably didn't mean for me to kidnap her?

Because I have the ancestral arms for Half-Elf which is fun :) gives my poor Tauthan more weapons he can use lol.

It was agrred we'd trade off the more cavalier-esque features of the samurai in exchange for a more 3.5 model. So we agreed on the growing ancesteal sword idea (your daisho changes as you do), and that the 4th level feat would by family-appropriate and not always Mounted Archery.

If that's still true, I'm likely just gonna add keen to gaki buredo.

There is a mountless samurai archetype available in pathfinder. The sword saint.

So for all you with samurai class levels (that don't want to play the cavalier model), that means your daisho has a potential value of 18k. Cracking open my Ultimate equipment book for a +1 equivalent.

Think I might just go with +2. Or vanishing (MIC, 45) as long as I'm not stunned after teleporting. Seems like a great ninja weapon.

Actually, the srd site has an ability for a +1 bonus that lets you use your Dex modifier for damage. Is that okay?

It's in the Pathfinder Society Field Guide, I believe.

So, I didn't know about the Mounted Archer trade-off thing...I've got it in my build. Do we have a list of "appropriate feats" or should I just choose something? Steven - what did you choose for Imuri, for example?

Also, with this ancestral sword stuff - is there anywhere this is all in one place so I can read it? This sporadic mentioning of things with abbreviations and shorthand is not my strong point - I don't know the rules nearly as well as all of you, and I've never played a Samurai before.

Imuri chose Combat Expertise, since it's the gateway for so many shady fighting styles. Azami should choose a feat apprporiate for her style or dojo. Really, it becomes like a ranger feat. Maybe Mounted Archery is great for a certain build, but Shoto samurai are far from cavaliers.

The Ancestral Relic is best presented in Exalted Deeds. However, in the original version it was a class feature and not something you spent/sacrificed treasure on. I think sword-levels-when-you-do is easiest, and waiting for downtime to meditate or sell loot or whatever sucks even more in pbo.

Ancestral Relic is a feat listed at the top I believe.

This has some feats and other material related to the book, I own the book and it was a 3.5 book released to bring in the paragons of good and its direct opposite was the Book of Vile Darkness.

And people think i'm manipulative. >.>

Maybe I should start kidnapping people too, then I can be cool like the Spider clan. :)

Sadly I have heard winged elf is too chewy and is best it were tossed aside, although the black blade is a curiosity. It shall be a great addition to the Museum of the Empire. :)

Yea, but this winged elf has a wife who's bow is so deadly even a Ghaddar ran away...unfortunately the half-elf who was there decided to cuddle with a barbed devil and then take a nap... ;)

Don't forget the blackblade has one hell of a terrifying creature attached to it. So I wouldn't be to quick to try and pick it up. Besides your just mad that I'm also taller and more intimidating than even Chu....I should totally get an intimidation bonus for having a 20 foot wingspan....

Wei is currently pestering Azami while indiscreetly watching Kyras, Sera and *ahem* some random samurai talking off to the side. He gets easily distracted in the city. When you spend most of your time meditating in a pond, having people to talk to is a novelty.
