Cyclones, or hurricanes if you like, are bad news. We get a fair few in northern Queensland. A this one sounds like a bruiser, slow moving and intense. I hope the people involved are safe.

When you get a chance can you make a ring of strength sapping or up grade the belt of strength?

I am back and it was a glorious time.
Ansguard the cursed, a dwarf warrior and jeweler turned mercenary as he was outcasted by his clan due to his gigantism traveled to the island to compete for glory and gold. While the mercenerys were divided, Ansguard was unmatched in the day of battles in team battles.
In the final fight he was paid to battle with the forces of darkness against the forces of order, freedom and war and fought them hard so that while the banner of darkness fell, it fell only after taking down the banner of order and freedom. Fighting outmatched at least 2 to one, 5 to one in warriors, we still managed to make them pay for their deeds.
Ansguard slew about 4 enemy warriors by himself and wounded half a dozen, before falling, holding the banner of freedom.
If I had known that I had to kill the moron holding it and not only need to touch it, I would have taken freedom out of the game. So a comrade of mine did it.
Larping for 4 days, mainly in rain.

Kaos, I will get on that, after I finish Ulfgards request.
I have been trying to get everyone in kind of an order.

I understand and thank you it a real boost to have you doing these things. And no rush just some cool stuff to have maybe. Honestly a ring of invisibility for Leira would probably be more important then what I was asking for.
Leira
Ah! Yes, a ring of invisibility would be great! It's not urgent, though, I can manage with my spells for now.

This sounds like an incredible time. Was it like a GenCon tournament?

Something like this, but with a little bit less people.

I currently cannot do rings. I already used 2 feats on a feat starved class for the 2 that I do have.
Can I suggest someone else does rings, and or wands ?
Ulfgard Strongfist
We have a VERY strong orc faction in germany.
Although they have some very strong problems with hot summer days. But it absolutely AWESOME to play with them. We had an orc yelling at two night goblins in our mercenery camp. The guy was BIG and even bigger thanks to the costume. The goblins stole from me so it came to a three way yelling between orcs goblins and the dwarf, but we were in the middle of a major ritual so we couldn´t attack without endangering it.
Anga Runedaughter
When you get 45 degrees with 90% humidity, then it's hot.
:D
But those costumes look great.
GM Mazra
This is totally off topic.
A while back I heard of a Kickstarter for Pathfinder PC game. Then I forgot about it. You all maybe all aware of this. I may be behind a bit.
Well, last weekend I downloaded Pathfinder:Kingmaker game off Steam. And this weekend I became the Baron of my lands. Wow! What fun. It has the same engine and game play as Baldur's Gate. It may be the most true PC representation of the table top game that I have ever played. And it is Pathfinder. It is the first game to get resting in the wild or in a dungeon absolutely right.
Have you played it?
Ulfgard Strongfist
OH YES.
Till chapter four when suddenly Amiri was gone, although I never used her and I needed her for continuing with the plot.
So back to step one.
But I am a bad boy.
Hagrim was quickly changed to a druid, Amiri was changed to an inquisitor and I added a priest NPC with an animal companion, so at times I went with 4 animal companions. Guess what 4 animal companions do to most enemies!!!

Sorry I have been lagging. I got moved to days from nights, and I have been going about as many different directions as a one legged man at a butt kicking contest.
Hoping for things to slow down a hair, so I can catch up on everything else. :(
Anga Runedaughter
So, mules are large? I would have thought medium, perhaps using the pony stats since I haven't found any similar. They are smaller than horses.
Not arguing with GM decision here. That stands. Just interested.

Rant: I still believe that the Dwarf bonus against Giants should only be applicable to Melee. I don't see how a Dwarf in a Chariot gets any better bonus than a Halfling in a Chariot when rocks are thrown at it. I like rules that make sense. The Dwarf bonus for Melee makes sense. For Range attacks it does not.
Rant over!

I agree a hill giant firing a bow trying to hit a dwarf should have just as hard or easy time of it as a enlarged elf shooting a bow at a dwarf. Perhaps the intended purpose should be that not just melee weapons but any traditionally giant used weapon. Would get the AC bonus because they were trained to avoid such things.
Anga Runedaughter
Yes, the AC bonus vs rocks is appropriate, as giants do use them a lot

I have been finding the posting spotty myself. I have been saving my posts and trying several times sometimes before they work
Leira
I want to profit this random day to give thanks for all the effort you put to run this campaign Mazra. It's always a refreshing moment of the day to sit back at the computer, go into Leira's pants, and explore the many dungeons slaying some evil Giants :)
Also, I want to thank everybody because for the last months I noticed everyone is posting more consistently and the game is running more smoothly at a pace I enjoy much more.
Thanks all for the company and the lovely hours of gaming!

Agreed. But I do have to apologize about my attendance.
Things are a little busy for me right now.

Sidebar:
It has been a long time since I have had a Paladin in a party. In fact, I cannot recall ever having a Paladin in a party since I moved to playing Pathfinder. I am thinking that has to be ten years now. The one ability, to me, that makes a Paladin extremely useful, in addition to their many other abilities, is the ability for the Paladin to Detect Evil at will. That can be such a useful ability.
Anga Runedaughter
An inquisitor is even better. They can detect good, evil, chaos and law
GM Mazra
I forgot about the Inquisitor. I had an Inquisitor in another campaign. Haskyll, Ulfgard and Kaos had other characters in that campaign as well. That player really didn't play the Inquisitor to its fullest.
Paladins are better fighters, but Inquisitors do bring greater spell power. This is a good thought. The Inquisitor is an interesting class for sure. I admit I would like to play one in a campaign some day. I have had fun with Droja. She is my first Oracle.
Haskyll Stonereaver
We got a good mix.
I have had people say clerics are bland, but the versitility that a good cleric has, in my opinion makes them a solid class.
Leira
Clerics are one of the most complete classes there are. Even with only the Core you can build a great combat cleric, or a great casting cleric, or a great blasting cleric, or a great support cleric. I think people mostly complain because many GMs push the challenge to the point that the cleric cannot stop healing, and healing is not fun if its all you do in all combats, or because they don't have enough expertise to specialize the cleric into something and end into land of no one.
Plus clerics are thematic. You have a deity, and domains, its just so easy to make your character stand out. Have I said I just love clerics? :D
Haskyll Stonereaver
1 person marked this as a favorite.
I've played clerics since AD&D.
I prefer to play them as a combat medic. . .
ah that is only a flesh wound, get back in there, and take on the black knight. :)
honestly though, I try to play as a solid scrapper, with magic support as I don't like being buttonholed into just healing.
Can I do it, yes, shades of AD&D where healing had to be prepared for. :)
I much prefer the spontanious healing that comes out of pathfinder.
Kaos Axe Hands
|
I agree the spontaneous casting for clerics has really opened up the possibilities for them in Pathfinder
GM Mazra
Clerics have always been my favorite class. Being the Healer never bothered me. I believe the Pathfinder Clerics are one of the more well rounded classes. And I truly had an awesome time playing a Cleric of Cayden Calien. He was in their fighting with the rest as long as he was sober. Well, even when he wasn't. ;)
Ulfgard Strongfist
My second character was a cleric, thats over 20 years ago.
The cleric for a god of hunting in all its forms. Yes that also includes women.
Half a year later I checked how many clerics we had slain and how many were from my god.
It were around 80%. So... I had to change my god.
Anga Runedaughter
I like inquisitors. They are very effective in combat, with their teamwork feats and ability to use them by themselves, and the bane ability at 5th level. The judgements definitely give a lot of flexibility, and the skill base is good. Lots of good abilities. Tracks as good as a ranger
Haskyll Stonereaver
The only real complaint about the cleric class, is how skill starved they are. :(
But I do like the class, and agree that it is one of the best all around classes.
Before they came out with the warpriest, I usually took a level of fighter, for the proficiencies, then stuck with cleric for the rest.
My method of creating a militant cleric. :)
Ulfgard Strongfist
Haskyll actually you need only 2 or sometimes even one feat for a melee battle cleric.
Heavy armor prof and power attack. You usually have enough choice of good weaons, either through your god or race.
I mean you get two handed sword, longsword, warhammer, rapier, falchion, or gleve from your good and that are already some of the best weapons.
Haskyll Stonereaver
Ulfgard, I know that all to well. I usually try to go for deities that have a decent martial weapon. but sometimes beggers cannot be choosers.
:)
