That was an awesome fight. The lead in with the gnolls and Unchosen, to the charge from the beast himself to nearly cut two in two was fearsome to behold. It was nice to have the group in a position to truly unload like that once things started moving.
Great game still. Extremely challenging fights, and good interplay/action going on.

Well said and thanks, this game is a blast. And it's good to the see the PCs kick ass once in awhile. Though to do it on the big baddie that has been built up over 4500 posts.....like I said, you really let loose all that hatred you had for him!
Scary thought to see how powerful this group can get, as your tactics continue to mesh!

I'm thinking I screwed up, moving him into melee. If I would have waited and let you come to the king, he would have gotten an AoO on the first combatant and both Quzman and Jameena would only have gotten 1 attack not a full-round's worth. And then on his turn, the King would have gotten his full-round. But he would have been pelted by Tyronel's arrows and Dumah's spells. I had to play his personality, which says he is arrogant and overconfident, so he moved on in.
Sorry, just the DM in me, trying to see where I went wrong....LOL! Obviously, hindsight is 20/20.

Is it just me or do Quzman's critical confirmation and all of Tyronel's attacks not appear in the posts. I only see them when I respond. Its a nasty error that most people haven't noticed much yet, as its quite subtle.
Thanks for the tech support, AK. You a lurker in my PbP or just following JaceDK?

And DM, always, and I mean always, in my group, the big baddie goes down easier than some random group of mooks do. I've no way to explain it, but it is commonplace in my games. The only thing that might alter that is a random crit by it here or there.
And I appreciate you not running us through the huge dungeon that I remember this part of the story being. Nothing hurts a PbP more than a huge dungeon, IMHO, as no one does anything other than the rogue making perception and check for traps rolls for days at a time, it seems.

That's why I always take the Trapfinder rogue talent when I play a rogue. It helps do away with that sort of thing. If I reach the point where I'm ready to run a Pathfinder game by PbP, I'll probably give it to any rogue for free.

Like I said, you guys have spoiled me with those excellent 9-10 dramatic round combats in the past, so of course, I assumed that would be the case here. But no problem with how it turned out.
Oh and of course, the way the module is written, it would suck for PbP to run it that way, both for you and me. This way, I kept the shortcut listed as an add-on adventure with heavy modifications and the main fights without having to bore you with all the room searching and exploring. Trust me, I have done a lot of modifications, as probably AK can attest to from playing in another LoF PbP, to the module to fit my tastes.

Jameena Al'Qadr |

Speaking of the achievement Feats, I'm going to track Jameena's confirmed crits, just I case I want to take Relentless Butcher down the line - the name and fluff don't really match, but the mechanics seem like a nice option for scimitar-wielder.
By my quick audit of all Jameena's posts, she's actually only confirmed 1 or 2 at this point (not counting the ones vs Onyx, who was immune), so there is a way to go to reach the 50 I need. I'm going to put the count at 2 for now, and keep track from here on out.

Jameena Al'Qadr |

I'm looking ahead on how to advance Jameena to be more effective in and out of combat and how to best complement the rest of the party.
Obvious Feat choice for next level is Enforcer, letting me take advantage of my CHA score, my intimidate ranks and my Merciful Blade trait to give baddies I hit the Shaken condition.
Other than that, I have no real plans. When she's not smiting, her damage output is a bit low for the level of opposition we are facing, so I think it best to focus on applying hampering conditions, and putting myself in between the baddies and Dumah/Ty (and Eli, if I can get him to see reason), using swift LoH's (and Hero's Defiance) to keep me on my feet.
Another obvious way to go is to take some of the Critical feats, since I'll never wield anything other than a scimitar.
And we could also consider some of the teamwork Feats. A good choice here could be:
Outflank (Combat, Teamwork) - Better flank to-hit bonus and, more importantly, a crit provokes AoO from your flanking buddy. With both Jameena, Eli and Quzman wielding high-threat weapons, this should see a lot of use.

You, probably are not going to get Eli to see reason, :) He has taken his gambling risk it all personality to the extreme upon being "choosen" to wield the ancient weapon Tempest. I am working him to the Duelist Class, which is why I am taking some levels as a fighter (one handed alternate). I would consider the Outflank feat for him and this group, it fits his style of getting behind the enemy across from Quzman/Jemeena and taking advantage of the sneak attack damage.

A week from today I am attending a week long conference out of town that I get class credit for. I am not sure what kind of internet access I will have. I am hoping I will get to post at night but won't know for sure until I get there. I am OK with being NPC'd by the DM while I am gone if need be, or if you want to work out something in the story to have my character "exit" for the week I am cool with that too.

Very tempting. CotCT has long been on my list of AP's I'd like to try.
I already passed on applying for Alex Kilcoyne's Sargava game, because I'm in so many games already, but....
I think I'll give the Players Guide a read and see if a concept too good to pass on presents itself.

I am sorry for the long absence guys. RL has taken a serious turn for the worse in several ways here recently. Between a series of seeming never ending tasks and stress, I've had very little time (or inclination when I've had the time) to try and get updated or follow the story.
I am hoping things are settling down to a dull roar at home, as most of the major crisis have been dealt with. However, I do hate to drag the game down, and I know 10 days is way to long to be away, especially without being able to give warning.
I can bow out for a replacement if the group would prefer, and I can definitely understand for the story to proceed it takes a team. I will try and catch up and update if appropriate the IC thread this afternoon.
Sincerely,
Snigg
