We never figured out who carries the magic longspear, in case it becomes relevant. I think it makes most sense for Quzman to hang on to it, since he has the strength to benefit from using a 2H weapon if he ever needs to use it. Ty already has his axe.

Jace, I was looking at doing a Haste for the team (Dumah has two memorized right now), but the team's spread has made it so that at any given point, half the team would be missed by it. If we end up coalescing some more next round, he'll try it again.
Nice catch. Here we again see Dumah's 19 INT vs Jameena's 8. :-)

Just dotting this here thread. Loving what I am seeing so far in the actual PBP. I have made it to page 43 (I was sad when Jarva died)
I hope you dont mind me posting here... (zips off to lurk again)
No problem, glad you're enjoying it. There have been many "wow" and "emotional moments" in this game!

SH, we just try to fill like everyone else. Lucendar goes to the regular haunts and posts an opening in the group thread. We get responses and builds and the group takes an informal vote, then he extends an offer. We had a bunch of turnover after Brebork disappeared, but Jace has stepped right in and solidified things nicely.
I suggest you keep watching the thread, because I am feeling older by the day and could kick it at any time!

What, the archer dyin? And you guys post requests where, here? Or in the Gamers Connection forum? 0_0
I don't think the archer is gonna go *nods* That greataxe is too dangerous!

Thank you, Stomphoof. We do our best to entertain. And I hope you will return the favor, since I see you'll run Crypt of the Everflame. I'll lurk for sure.
Oh dear >.>
Yes well...I am not sure about this. I got inspired by Lucendar, Kilcoyne, and Aubrey (the DMs) to run my own game but...i am rather nervous >.>

Eli needs it! What about Dumah? I went through that whole fight with a 16 AC! I just about had a heart attack when Jameena started goading the fiend to leave combat with the Ty, Quzman and Eli to come next to Dumah. :) I don't know what's going to happen with Haleen and her debt, but if Dumah has any cash he's going to have to buff his defenses, amongst other things. He currently has craft arms and armor, and I'm planning on craft wondrous next at 7th level.

No need to worry. If the spell had worked, the baddie would have attacked only Jameena - and moved itself conveniently into a flank between her and Quzman. Fortunately, it made no difference either way, since it went down before it would have even reacted to the spell.

You compel an enemy to come and fight you. On its turn, the target moves its speed toward you, avoiding any other dangers along its path (including any movement that would provoke attacks of opportunity). The target may do nothing but move on its turn. If the target ends its move adjacent to you, you can make an attack of opportunity against the target.
I can't be 100% sure how our esteemed GM would choose to interpret the effects of the spell, since there was really no way the fiend could move without provoking an AoO from either Quzman or Ty unless he just took a 5ft step towards me. But in any event, I figure he moves to the closest point where he is adjacent to me, which is I11, 15 ft away from Dumah.

This should be interesting. I'm sure the gnolls will enjoy watching Eli and Jameena duel about who gets to fight them.
It's about time you learn, Eli. There's a new Tank in town, and she's not going to be happy standing in the back row with her first aid kit ready.

Jameena needs to learn that just because a new person shows up, doesn't mean Eli is going to change his ways.
Looks like there is going to be some tension amongst the Sand Stalkers for a bit. Should make for an interesting story. :)

This bickering back an forth between Jameena and Eli reminds me of Han and Leia on the Death Star - and we all know how THAT went. Very interesting indeed. :-D
For Jameena, her primary motivation is not personal glory. She simply feels so strongly because she cares for the rest of the Sand Stalkers, and wants to protect them by placing herself between them and the enemy.
I think it speaks volumes about the stubborness and pride of both characters that they would rather face a hall full of gnolls than hide behind the other. Good stuff.

Fortunately, it does not seem like it will be a problem to find volunteers willing to stand between Dumah and danger.
The problem you guys seem to have is deciding who is going to be NOT on the front line :P
Which is hilarious to me for some reason.

Lucendar, does Dumah think they could retreat back through the portal to rest if they need to? Is there a space between the portal and the lava lake that is cool enough to rest at without going back to the salamanders?
You could retreat if you have enough force missiles, but the only place cool enough was the pit in the western portion of the salamander caves.

I apologize in advance if I once again come across as trying to dictate the actions of other players or the GM - truly NOT the intent. But I'm getting very confused and frustrated watching Dumah die of poison while Quzman is carrying not only a vial of antitoxin but also a potion of Delay poison.
I tried to hint this in character several rounds ago. And when that didn't seem to work, I dropped a note for Lucendar in a spoiler to be aware of this when he took Quzmans action while he was away.
Now it is probably too late anyway, unless we somehow come across a scroll of neutralize poison or lesser restoration.
I'm not pointing fingers - I'm simply very confused about why these resources are not being used to at least try and save Dumah.
