Just wanted to do a head count really quick.
Just to let you guys know, tomorrow will begin the processes of that court case I mentioned.
You speak of wars was I March into a personal one. Huzzah to glory!
And finally, I apologize for not posting today (yesterday as it may be), my 8 hour shift turned into a 12.

GM Leviathan |

I take it that game is that good?
I just picked up the new elder scrolls for ps4, it really didn't get that much hype, but I'm hoping it's decent.

Lord "Inkwell" Rook |

Oh, also, USA! USA! USA!

Something I just thought of... If I remember correctly, Eutropia's mother is not mentioned in Golarion canon. For outer game, does she have a mother? Is she alive? Does the Empire have an Empress?

GM Leviathan |

The "Empress" is dead for all intents and purposes. And the Emperor has been unable to produce. Children with other paramours....
Who knows why that is.

Lord "Inkwell" Rook |

So… how many Senate votes does our group currently control? Lord Rook is one—I’m assuming his eldest son, currently holding a lesser title, is also a member of the Unbearded, and since he’s in Oppara right now, he can also vote if allowed to. I’ve been assuming Doctor Janus, for his lifetime of medical aid to Taldor’s richest, has received one of those honorary titles (a la the PFS Taldan titles) that isn’t hereditary and comes with no land, but that would also let him grow a beard and vote.
Kyra’s not in a great position, since the members of her family with votes don’t like her that much. I’m not sure if Lexarius or Argos are high-ranking enough to be an honorary senator.
Gabrielle’s parents may or may not be supportive of what we’re up to right now, but as they live far from the capital Gerard might be able to vote on their behalf—and he’d certainly support Eutropia’s bill, as it takes the pressure off of him to marry and bear his family heirs when his sister is allowed to do it for him, so I’m assuming that either Gerard has his own vote or that of his parents (is he your cohort? I can’t tell)
Assuming Nev Atropa is an only child, her parents would support Eutropia’s bill, but I’m also not sure of this from backstory, etc.
And Lord Jeggare, technically being a Taldan lord, gets to vote as well (but seriously needs to get started on that beard if he wants to look like a local nobleman! I look forward to a new, bearded character portrait in 3-6 months of game time, unless the Jeggare bloodline lacks the ability to grow facial hair).
So that’s potentially 4-7 votes on our side, before any blackmail or persuasion—and likely at least 5 votes we can control on any future issue. (More once Constantine gets his act together and is granted his own title by royal decree). Assuming the Taldan Senate is similar to the Roman one, we can expect 500-1000 senators, of whom only a few hundred bother to vote on all but the most vital issues—so we effectively control 2% of the legislature, which isn’t too bad.

On the question of Lady Gabrielle's cohort, I gave the slot to a friend of mine who likes the game but is too busy to commit to a full-time PC. I haven't heard from him lately, though, so if that doesn't change, her cohort slot is then open. Gerard could fill it, but Gabrielle does kinda want to undermine his inheritance, so that would be funky.

Lord "Inkwell" Rook |

I dunno—it looks like Gerard might be just the sort of guy who wants to have the wealth and prestige of nobility without any of the responsibilities. Letting Gabrielle serve as his heir-apparent and estate manager would free him from all the negative parts of nobility.

![]() |

That's true. Gerard just wants to lead expeditions to the far corners of the world and kick ass in the Worldwound. Gabrielle is after the title, and would love it if her parents would name her the heir-apparent. I can see him possibly being okay with that. Their parents, not so much.

GM Leviathan |

Rook, what was your last knowledge for the widows?
I'm on phone at work because computer has been on Fritz, and it's difficult to back track.

Valignatir |

GM Leviathan |

Assumption correct.
Rook, based on that previous perception, you can tell that particular agent was of Ustalav descent.

So, between gathering troops for Mendev, shaming Qadira into helping, supporting the inheritance bill, finding out what the Queen of Cheliax is up to, and uncovering an assassination put, we have a lot to do!

Also, what's up with your computer, GM, if you don't mind my asking?

GM Leviathan |

It's a 10 year old Acer that I've been jury-rigging back together for the last 8 years. Lol!
The seat for the RAM just had a clip snap off, so moving it in the wrong way without being super delicate unseats the memory. Secondarily to that, the HDD is missing its mounting bolts, so it's a multitude of issues, and the resolution is ultimately getting a new computer.
IT is my preferred professional field.

GM Leviathan |

I had a hell of a day today. It was the first day dealing with the case worker.

![]() |

I wonder if there's an NPC interaction that could spawn out of this.
What are you kicking around for a new computer?

GM Leviathan |

Working on paying off done debt before I think about that. I'm probably a few weeks out. I've got to stay fairly compartmental with my thoughts right now given the amount of stress I've got. All I know is, I'm going to be duct taping a temp repair while I slowly build to enough funds to purchase a new one.

Ser Constantine Rook |

I had a decent post for yesterday night..but it ended up getting lost. I saved it, but its saved on a different PC and I don't have access to it atm. Will post later.

GM Leviathan |

I lul'd a bit at you commando!
I'm going to be posting shortly, hopefully my soon-dead phone will pull through.

![]() |

Whoa, I got GM-ninja-ed there! Lady Gabrielle intends to get out of the room ASAP, right when she hears the commotion at the front door start. Can she get out in time?

GM Leviathan |

No time, they've secured the entrance within seconds... They're good. Most of the house servants are on the ground with hands behind their heads.
Though, it's obvious now that they don't care what was happening in the room.
More tomorrow! Phone dying!
Muahahahaha!

GM Leviathan |

Scratch... You've got 2 rounds.

![]() |

sallgood, man. Posting Lady Gabrielle's two rounds...

Lord "Inkwell" Rook |

@Val: The problem with casting Forbiddance against anyone not LN is that it doesn't tend to do much against the law.
Lord Rook could probably disarm at least half the guns in this room—but I don't think it's worth it, since he's probably got the least reason to worry of anyone here.

GM Leviathan |

Sorry, I get over zealous when shit goes down lol.
Your cohorts got the basics for the intrusion, though the servants are scared shitless as they were the first to respond, and being that this was a protected meeting, I assumed they'd act aggressively initially. Anyone making a DC 12 spot can see both of the intruders are in city guard uniforms.
Again... Sorry sorry sorry.
Phone still dying though.

It's OK. 12th-level PCs can get really jumpy! I know Lady Gabrielle would rather not be identified at this point, so I figure she'll casually slip out before she can get spotted, with the hope that she can help some others before it's too late.

GM Leviathan |

I'll do a head count next time I arm, deploy, and drop a bomb.

Lady Kyra Rubicon |

Right, I forgot about that (which was why I was about to review the spells on the room until the GM interrupted me).
That would have been double awkward.
Can you tell me what kind of distance the palace is from Val's villa?
In feet? It's a little important. (Kyra is going to suggest using Dimension Door).

GM Leviathan |

500 yards. 10 minutes by carriage because of traffic, about that by off.

About this... anyone I designate gets +8 Initiative at the start of combat, so, a LOT jumpy.
Of course, Lord Rook is going to recognize exactly just who barged in, and may use his peace-enforcement spells to make sure nobody gets too jumpy.
