I do have a few questions how do I make a character sheet? Where do I roll stats and the like? I'm sure I'll have more questions, but this will do for now.

Reread my original post in the thread, all the instructions for character creation are contained therein. Create an alias in your account page using your character's name, and edit your alias' profile with the character's information.

I have a couple of quick questions.

The concept I have rolling around in my brain right now is for someone who has very recently begun to spontaneously develop psionic powers (psion telepath). I thought it might be fun to try a psionic class as I doubt I'll have many chances to play one. So, first, I just wanted to confirm that psionics is fine, as you stated in your original post. Then, I wanted to know if there was magic/psionics transparency.

I'm going to touch up Parlee's backstory a bit, now that I have the Guide to Korvosa. Since we now know more about the Acadamae, I want to avoid any obvious continuity errors.

Psionics are fine and dandy - love 'em. :) There will be psionic/magic transparency (not the way I prefer to run it, but for ease of use, that's how it will be).

I also had one question -- I went character background option and it mentioned being entitled to a certain item . . .in my case I took a scroll of identify. Then I bought everything else with less than half gold actually, but if you figure in the cost of the scroll it equals max gold for a cleric.

Did I do this right? If not, please set me straight and I will fix tonight when I futher revise.

OOH OOH! Just had a great idea, gonna move History to Arcana and set up an eventual multi-classing thing . . can't wait to post background. If this character doesn't get picked, someone must open another CotCT campaign!

Well, I'm still hoping to get my character sheet up by the cutoff tomorrow. But it's been a crazy weekend, so I don't know if it will happen. Just have to see.

2 questions.

1) what weapon group proficiency(s) would a psion get.

2) I'm wanting to make a halfling sailor, so I was wondering if I could sub / add in some simple maritime weapons (gaff hook, belaying pin) to my weapons. I guess I would just treat a gaff hook as a dagger with piercing only. This is totally a flavor thing.

A problem with my electric company has forced me to use all day today and most of tomorrow on solving it, so I won't have time to finish up my character (half done) by the deadline tonight. So I think that means I'm out of the "race" for a spot.

That works for me. :) Belaying pin I would treat as a club.

Certainly sounds like an interesting idea. I'm curious to see how you would weave them into the storyline.

I'd probably be interested in guesting as a PC minion (or even a minion of Doom, a.k.a. GM Lilith).

Feel free to whatever you want with Mirrana, just know that I may recycle her into another campaign.

Lilith, for Dunzeltoff, I just wanted to make sure he was "good to go" with you so far, before I added in his skill points, just to keep things clear enough to decipher where he got all his points from... Also, I'd be happy to take an explicit "Character Background", probably something between Racial Minority/Gambler/Guild Official if that makes sense, but I'm not really sure how the details work... (how much starting gold? is the listed equipment a bonus, or subtracted from standard gold? how to deal with Background skills being in/out of class skills, etc... It might just be easier to not bother with those rules for this character... Max gold for a cleric @ 1st is 200 gp, right? Would a character like Dunzeltoff get any sort of 'house discount' on relevent items for being (at least formerly) in good standing with a Dwarven trading house?)

Anyhow, maybe once we can all post in-character here, we might start figuring out how our characters know each other, unless Lilith has specific plans for that...???

Gevtodt, there is a few minor changes to be made. The weight of your chain shirt needs to be changed, and you're 51 gp in debt to the Southern Shore Garrison for your equipment. ;)

Hide and Move Silently need to be reduced by -2 due to Armor Check penalty.
Knowledge (History) should be +4, as well as Knowledge (Nobility & Royalty).

I know I'm just an alternate, but I'd definitely be up for those Alpha rules =) Wanting to try out the Snake Style for a monk or perhaps a wizard with an enhanced item (I really dig the cheap enchantment rules on them, it makes a lot of sense) =)

Well after reading through the Alpha, I say let's give it a try. At the very least it would be entertaining. At the most, we could providde feedback on how the rules held up in game.

I've looked the rules over. I think it would be okay. I'm assuming that characters can be reconfigured to better make use of the new rules, if desired, and that characters whose classes will come out in later installments will be able to retrofit at that time (I'll stick with my same concept. Being a non-specialist actually works out for me, mechanically speaking.)
I'll start a retrofit on Jericho. (grumble... have to do the work by hand since there's no Heroforge for this new set-up... at least not yet. It may be time for me to dust off my Excel skills and have a look at modding the current version of Heroforge to the Pathfinder RPG Alpha.)
