BACKGROUND
Born in Magnimar, Finn grew up among the brisk trade and constant bustling of the Bazaar of Sails. When he came of age, he joined the crew of a Korvosan trading vessel with his childhood friend Oli. The two worked aboard ship learning seamanship. Finn spent much timeu in the galley, learning the trade of ship's cook, and doing a fair job of it. He found he had a way with words, and often accompanied the ship's master on trade forays into the various cities of Golarion, learning the skills of barter and diplomacy. And then, quite recently, he suddenly realized he had the ability to influence the attitudes of others. Just by concentrating, he could make others see his point of view, and regard him favorably. His sway with the captain increased considerably and his career was on the rise. But then, on a stop in Korvosa, it all came crashing down. On shore leave, after too many pints of strong Janderhoff ale, Oli wandered off. Hours later, coming out of his stupor and worried for his friend, Finn stumbled through the streets and alleys of Old Korvosa, calling out his name. But when he found Oli, it was too late. His friend lay in a puddle, his vacant eyes staring skyward, glazed over with the telltale signs of opiate overdose. Finn was heartbroken and enraged at the same time and never returned to his ship. He's spent the last weeks using his charms and silk tongue to track down the drug dealer responsible for his best friend's death. And now he has a name. Gaedran Lamm.
