"Durgen! Are you well? Where did you come from?"
"And did you bury your weapon into the masked man's skull?"
"We want some licks on him too."
How did you escspe friend?
"I found myself on a featureless landscape. I started walking in whatever direction and then the imp came. I made a deal with him that involved getting all of you safely away from the university. So now I get to wear this amulet for 6 months" You see an amulet around his neck with some sort of symbol on it.
"So what happened to Sunset?" Durgen shows concern for his only remaining companion that left with him in Sandpoint.
"She was harmed by some jewelry she found at the academy, and drank some sort of potion."
"She's feeling some better now, but it will be a while before she gets her strength back," Agia tells the dwarf. "Uh... do you know what that amulet is? It's not magical, which is a relief. But that symbol..ugh. Can you remove it?"
Sunset groans where ever she is lying and slolwy opens her eyes,
"Okay..who stood on my hand?" She asks, holding up th bandaged limb. She also smiles if she see Eladi, giving her a 'Teo thumbs up' gesture.
"See kid? Told you we'd get you out." She settles back a little more contentedly.
"I'm glad you are ok, Sunset. I feared none of you would make it"
Sunset nods to Durgen from her sick bed.
"Aye, this whole thing has taken it's toll...in'it?" She sighs, gingerly folding her hands across her chest and seeming to lose her self in gazing at the ceiling in reflection for a moment.
"It has, and I'd like to know whats going on."
Well, after you dissappeared I sent missive to my peers in the order. They have no real knowledge of the items you speak off, but with what happend to the mages, I have been given leave to remain with you until we find evidence of that mages whereabouts. They feel he presents a threat to the populace at large so I am to locate him as I am able and bring him to justice.
"I would go a lot further than the Sanos forest to settle with him. Are we all up for this?"
Sunset settles back amongst her pillows and blankets, looking at Durgen.
"I in't in a fit state to do much of anything at the moment. The Wizard and his tricks have done quite a number on me." She wriggles over on the bed and pats the space beside her, motioning for Eladi to come sit.
"Still...there's things, simple things, what need doing here...I think I can manage doing that while I'm on the mend." She says looking at the girl who's been as effected as much as any of them by the mad schemes of the Wizard they all seek answers from.
"What are we going to do when... if... we find him? He took Durgen to another plane. What can we do against that kind of power? Turn tail and run? Die?" Agia says glumly, "We need something effective against him."
Sunset frowns, absently lifting a stray lock of straw coloured hair from her face,
I'll tell you what I in't going t'do. I'm not giving up. I didn't against that fur monster and I wasn't when that Wizard had us all like fish in a barrel." She grins ruefully at herself...all propped up on pillows and blankets.
"Of course, I kind of know when I've been dealt a broadside and when I'm listing near t'skuppers..." She chuckles.
"So..I am going to get better, rest, recuperate and then make that fekker rue th' day he even thought of crossing my path!" And Sunset grins warmly at her friends,
"That's of course if'n you lot don't hunt the fekker down and do it all before I can get there." She waits for their responses.
"I don't know if I believe a gnome, but... I guess it's the best lead we have. Thank you, Eladi."
Agia checks on Sunset. "You are regaining strength but it may take some time. I can help some, but not much. We can go see this Mr. Graystone while you heal."
Sunset smiles, "That's the spirit! And while you're off doing that, I'll see to young Eladi here getting some proper education and stuff." She grins at the girl, though there's possibly a glint of mischief in Sunset's eye even as she does so.
It is a starting point at least
"What about that ring?"
"The one on Eladi or the one that, uh, Sunset was wearing?" Agia asks uncomfortably, glancing guiltily at Sunset's mutilated hand.
The figure walks purposefully through the city streets, oft looking at buildings and seeming to compare land marks with some map or idea in her head.
At 4' 2' her wide shoulders support both her chain armor and the huge hammer which lays across them. Over her back rests a steel shield, with perhaps a sheathed sword beneath.
Eventually she comes to an Inn and looks up at it signs and designs, shifting the great hammer from her shoulders to a 'vertical' grip, before walking resolutely in. She does not pause at the threshold, nor seem to care about patrons glances in her direction as she walks up to the bar and puts some coin down to gain the attention of said person behind the edifice.
Upon receiving directions the Dwarven lass follows the directions given and stops outside a certain room's door. Deftly, gently resting the hammer upon the floor she reaches out and knock upon the wooden portal..................
Even Sunset winces at Agia's glance, "Aye, somthing else I've a quarrel with a certain Wizard about..." She grumbles....Then she glances at the knocking coming from the door to the groups chambers, Sunset's 'good' hand slipping under the pillows upon which she rests.
"Now..who could that be...?" She wonders out loud.
Agia glances around the room. "Expecting anybody?" she says softly to the room in general, quietly retrieving her trident from where it is leaning in the corner.
Aden lays a hand on his new sword but does not draw.
Hashar shakes his head at the jumpy group and moves over to the door, gripping the door knob in heavy armored gaunlet he opens the door and says in a gruff voice, "What you want?"
"We have the best butler," Agia chuckles, still ready with her trident.
Xochti looks up.....
Deftly stepping back and...
Steps back, lifting her hammer even as she reaches across her back for her shield.
He let's out a laugh, "Aww that's cute, you wanna play little one?"
The Dwarf narrows her eyes only slightly,
The great hammer still held at the ready, though she is currently only holding the three foot long haft one handed, She manages to bring the shield from her back, hand and arm flexing as she works the plate into position upon her arm.
She semi-crouches at the ready, though she does not yet reply.
Agia sighs. "If you're selling Dwarf Scout Cookies, I will buy a box."
Her eyes flicker to the woman who speaks,
And her stance shifts ever so slightly.
"I was given directions to here..." She says simply, her guard still up and wary of the Half-Orc.
