"Right, so it's a standard trick-collecting wands trump game. Except the King of Wands is the Hungry Ogre, and when he's drawn, you either are eaten, killed, and out of the game, or else you can sacrifice one of the tricks you've collected to reshuffle him back into the deck. Sacrificed tricks are out of the game. Come to the end of the deck, the discard pile gets reshuffled and made the new deck, and the Ogre is shuffled back into it. Winner is the last player not eaten by the ogre. It can take a while to eat up all the tricks, but clearly they're doing some serious exploring up there, so we have plenty of time, I'm sure."

Derp. I'd forgotten about the mirror images. That last roll was actually a confirming roll for the natural 20.

But with that in mind I'd rather use my swift to try to pop another image. If that's okay:

Tanith misses badly, but manages to destroy two more of the seven images. Five remain.

Round 2: Actions

Standard Action: Total Defence: +4 to AC this round
No Action: 5' step back to my original spot
Move Action: Yank the seal out of the pillar!

Carina steps out from behind Farrukh and makes a grab for the seal in the floor, being mindful of the demon's sharp evil sword.

AC should be 34 with DEX Mutagen, Shield, Shield Other, Total Defence & Farrukh's bonus active.

Not if your eyes are closed. You don't get Dodge bonuses to AC if your eyes are closed unless you have Blind-Fight. Ninja'd.

Farrukh, whether or not you can get Sneak Attack while blinded is a bit questionable (as in, actually wrong), but we'll let it ride as an added benefit of Blind-Fight. In this case, it doesn't matter, since I can't tell how you're getting Sneak Attack against the demon regardless.

Farrukh's newly-holy weapon cuts into the beast, but he's still encountering heavy resistance. On the last hit, though, he cleaves through several of the demon's eyes and hears a roar of pain.

The column begins to descend, but it starts just as slow going down as it started going up. The demon takes one last swipe at Farrukh as the brazen Tanith catches its gaze dead-on.

Tanith, make another Fortitude save, DC 18, or be paralyzed for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds.

The column descends rapidly beneath the floor and reenters the Rising Path. The others see that Tanith and Carina are both injured. Farrukh collapses as the column is about halfway down, bleeding heavily from his wounds.

Eben looks aghast. "How the hell did it get down here? Thought for sure it would have been sea serpent bait." He sighs, then gestures at the assembled group. "Well, I believe in all of us." Then he bounces for the main pillar.
Casting good hope on the group. Using an AP to save the slot.
Acrobatics+good hope+trampoline pillar: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 + 10 = 31
"Incoming!" he calls out as he soars onto the ungainly mass of adventurers and crowd-surfs his way onto the pillar. "Ow! Okay, who has the seal? And are you anywhere near the socket, because this is uncomfortable! Rodrigo, call your elemental back up here with us too, and cast haste once we start moving up..."

Good hope lasts 80 rounds, cat's grace on Astraden lasts 73 rounds, Mirror image lasts 72 rounds, cat's grace on me lasts 71 rounds.

Battle at the Rift, The Isle of Last Resort

The elemental doesn't seem to understand the command, no matter how clearly Rodrigo pantomimes it out. It can't fit on the pillar.

Anybody have condition removal stuff for Sickened?

The sickness is a fear effect.

"Thanks, Eben," Astraden calls as the bard jumps away. As Carina fits the seal back into its divot, she straps on her shield, releases a healing burst, and splits off a double. Saying, "Verhanel beran gortsaduli ir mejk’y," she pulls a golden rapier from her sheath, then withdraws the actual, metal rapier as the golden one floats above her head. Jammed between her friends, she has to be careful not to jab one of them with either weapon.

I've got the rallying shield but that won't help retroactively . . . otherwise, ask Tanith. Casting copycat [2/6], then spiritual weapon as we rise.
Channel positive energy (healing) to bring everyone up to full, hopefully: 6d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2, 5, 1, 6) = 19 [1/6]

Sorry, I only prep one remove fear a day and I didn't think to preserve it with an AP.

Liberty's Edge

Male Underpowered Warrior 1

Right, if we start getting pounded with that condition I'll spend the APs, but it only keeps sickened off for a single round so it'll have to be once we start fighting.

Eben, do you have a spell slot to spare for Heroism? That makes me immune to Fear effects (which should remove the Sickened for the duration. And remove the possibility of the paralyzed/Unconscious results as well).

One for Tanith would be worthwhile as well.

You're thinking of greater heroism. Normal heroism doesn't help with fear.
