Just FYI Daniel, I switched out my skill in the “local ties trait” from engineering to disable device so that I can disable technological traps, as we lost our trap finder a bit ago. Zimdoz has less knowledge engineering, but I think Alldur can get those checks.

To our new recruits - as the main party are now back in town it seems a good point to introduce yourselves into the narrative here. I would say easiest intro would be that you have heard about the problems in Torch and have to come to town to see if you can help, exact details I will leave up to you.

Hello! Thanks for inviting me to play with y'all :D I will spend some time today reviewing the gameplay and discussion threads before posting in the gameplay thread.

In the mean time, which character would the original participants prefer to have join them? As posted in the recruitment thread, I have a healing/buffing cleric of Milani and a ranger (either melee or ranged) that could hit the map. I would truly be happy to play either and I don't want to step on anyone's toes!

EDIT: So I see several characters have come and gone since the start of this game. What roles skillwise need to be covered at this point? I see that Aldur has Engineering/Technologist covered and Zimdoz has Disable Device/Technologist covered.

Cleric is always good to have, but with wands and everything we might be able to make due without. Whichever is more fun for you, is my opinion.

As for how you join - our former Arcanist and I are looking after Khonnir if you want to be recruited by Alldur or Grezzag. Khonnir is needing a healer if we can find one, but he may have “plot delirium” ;).

EDIT: Zimdoz, what does (and will) your character do in combat? If I did bring the ranger and took an archery focus, would that be too close to your character concept (or otherwise irritating for any reason) for you?

Scout, ranged attacker. I will likely multiclass gunslinger but I’m not sure of the archetype yet.

And no, archery is fine. I may just focus on scatter weapons, since they’re interesting and I’ve noticed a bit underused. There’s not a ton of overlap as if I do, I’ll be a ranged that hangs out nearish the front.

On the right side is the share of gear everyone has. I'm flagging all of Khonnir's stuff as essentially "borrowed" for a bit. Otherwise, each PC (including Poshment and Vivianne) gets cash as specified in N12-N16. This accounts for the 1000 gp that you both got from starting at level 2, and puts us all at the same amount of treasure going back into the ruin!

I'll make a sheet summing my purchases so Daniel can keep track of it. Feel free to copy that if you want for your own tracking.

Unless anyone objects, I'll take the scrolls of identify and shield. I want the others, but I don't think Alldur would take Khonnir's scrolls without permission to copy into his spell book. I can also take the wand of magic missle for the time being and offer to compensate Khnnir for it's use.

@Poshment, make sure you only add 329.86 in cash if you don’t want any of the stuff we are selling. You came in with 1k, so this makes every PC have the same amount of resources.

Haven’t bought the wand or done my masterwork transformation yet in the gameplay thread! Distribution has just been, first come first served on any physical items we find but the share as gold ends up getting equalized as if we sold everything.

Except for “group” stuff which I always figure is just for anyone to use, and sits in a bag held by someone strong or spread out.

I've got the clw listed in my inventory and will track the charges for it. If somebody else prefers to have it or prefers somebody else to have it, I've got to problem handing it over!

The way I prefer being the wandjockey is for people to just roll out of combat healing when they need it. Then I just count the charges used and mark them off. If multiple people are injured though, I'll most likely be channeling.

Does that work for everyone? I can do it another way if people want!

I think we’re assuming all of Khonnir’s stuff is just borrowed, and as we’re planning on returning it, it wouldn’t be fair to ding you for your share. Maybe just leave it as group and we’ll write in another column that you’re carrying it.
