Hi All. I'll be running the above titled game and the following information:

Quote:

Character Building

CRB Races only shall we?
20 Point buy
2 traits, drawbacks allowed
Maximum Gold allowed for class.
Hitpoints Full at 1st level, Half +1 for subsequent or rolled (Take higher)

If I missed out anything else I'm sorry, do highlight and we can talk it out.

I have two players already and I'm looking for say maybe 4 more? However I do not make the choice alone. My two players also have a say.

Rcruitment will close on the 14th of April and I might close this earlier if I see submissions I really really like.

Notes: I'm a GM in training. :P

Hummm, nightdeath as a DM sounds promising. I will try to find a cool concept for this module.

Is there any relevant information to be known to create a character? Like the equivalent of player's guide for the APs?

Any information on what classes the two players have in mind?

May I ask about the number of posts that is acceptable for you?

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

I've got a recently designed Dwarven Ranger that I'll re-stat and put up later tonight. This seems like a fun module.

Sound like a good opportunity to play that reach cleric I've been meaning to make.

Sovereign Court

I'm looking at a post a day since I know that most people like myself are guilty of being in more than one campaign at a time. My weekends will be slower since I work on weekends as well.

I forgive you if you suddenly charge into combat with your flimsy wizard swinging your dagger like an enlarged pouncing barbarian with an enormous greatsword because you mixed them up. We'll lol and move on.

Currently there's a ranger and a Paladin. It's fine to play any other class so don't be too hung up on party balance. If there's a need be I'll drown you in Healing potions, quite a way to go don't you think? It'll be something to tell your friends.
"My Character X died in a vat of healing potions......"

Not really a player's guide per say I can say that there will be dragons?
Scaled folk and the normal menagerie of monsters?
Reach and Range weapons are good but sometimes closing in is a good idea.
Mounts are a bad idea, creative mount usage have my support.
This group is going to be focused a little more on RP perhaps and between the players I should think, I'm just the onlooker. :)

Adventure Summary:
In The Dragon’s Demand, the PCs are hired by the Baroness of Belhaim to investigate the collapse of a tower at the edge of town, and soon learn of a possible conspiracy between a tribe of kobolds and the town’s eccentric wizard. Investigation of the kobold lair confirms the connection, but also suggests the kobolds’ true master is a being far greater than the wizard. When the wizard’s manor is put up for sale, the kobolds’ master, a dragon named Aeteperax, interrupts the estate auction. He demands an outrageous ransom in addition to several rare and expensive books from the wizard’s estate, giving the town a short deadline for delivering his demands. The PCs must travel to an abandoned monastery and slay the dragon before the beast razes Belhaim to the ground!

OK. So much for the Dwarven Ranger :-). I'll work up a roguish character of some sort.

Dotting for interest - I'll have a character up in the next 48 hours - fluff and all.

Sovereign Court

Putting together a Vudrani Warpriest of Irori :-)

I'd like to play with this guy. More to come

Very interested. Haven't read or played this module yet. I'm thinking bard or magus. Will have something posted shortly.

EDIT: My apologies - I just noticed this was invite only. Sorry for barging in uninvited!

Shadow Lodge

I am interested. Am an experienced GM, and can offer assistance if needed in answering questions about gameplay. I am running two games online here, but would like to participate in one as a player instead of a GM. I can roll up any character you need to fill a vacant spot. Looks like a wizard or sorcerer might fit the bill...

Birch33 here, as promised. I've created an alias and done most of the fluff - including a story as to why she's ended up in the region of the Verduran Forest.

I haven't focussed on spending or languages too much - I can revise these if I'm successful. The character is a rogue that aspires to be a Lion Blade of Taldor.

Happy to help the group along however I can (I GM on the boards as well as play) but it's fair to say I focus on the role rather than the roll - whichever hat I'm wearing. Hopefully my submission is evidence of that.

Grand Lodge

At this moment, the party consists of a human archery-based paladin and a ranger of some kind.

I'd be interested. I rolled up a barb who's basically just Conan with the serial numbers filed off, which might be a good fit for a module. Or I can play something else. I'll wait and see how the party's shaping up, then roll a character that fills a needed role in Hero Lab. Doesn't take long, especially for first-level characters.

I'll be working most likely on a dwarven inquisitor of Desna...

Clearer picture now. He had a run-in with the conglomerate spirit of a mortuary cyclone at a young age that kinda made him who he is.

Fully developed character.

Spoiler:

As a kid, everyone knew Irathes was off. He is the younger half-elven son of a Mauxi tailor, who has since gotten married to a local shoemaker and had a third soon with him. So not only was he a half-elf in a culture where that sort of thing isn't exactly smiled upon, but also the middle child. This predicament caused him to seek solitude, often walking out to the nearby necropolis. The older he grew the more he realized he could feel a bond with the recently deceased that he couldn't explain, and no one wanted to talk with him about.

That was until a recently scorned witch, kicked out of her coven, created a mortuary cyclone as a byproduct of a failed attempt to raise everyone from a family crypt to destroy the coven.

The cyclone killed the witch and started toward Pashow, where Irathes lived. He saw it on his way home from the necropolis and stood in its path, not knowing what else to do except keep it from destroying his family.

He spoke to it in a language he'd heard in his dreams, and convinced it that it's vengeance had been taken when it killed the witch. From that point on, the spirit of the cyclone formed a relationship with Irathes, teaching him Necril and how to use magic to defend himself.

The scorned witch's coven saw the event, and thereafter welcomed him into their fold, training him in the ways of the witch, while the spirit, now contained in a spell poppet, focused his attention on the undead.

Ok I'm making the list and seeing if anybody else is going to submit a char in the next few days.

Hello, assemblage and personalities, and allow me to introduce myself. I am Erynion Orvir, inasmuch as you may call me such, and I am a collector of curiosities, nicknacks, and experiences, shall we say. Belhaim, is it? Taldor? It has been a few scant decades since I've travelled through such, yet even then did not rove northerly to the verdant Verduran. Perhaps we might travel hence, together?

This character has been kicking around for a while, and I've submitted him to a few PBP recruitment threads in the past. This post gives a nice peek into his head, and the post immediately after lists his non-core aspects. I can tweak him a little bit to fit into the campaign/character-build requirements.

nightdeath, it looks like you're a pretty prolific PFS gm. Do you plan on sending out chronicles for campaign-mode for this?

Sovereign Court

I'm a GM in training. :P
PFS Chronicles are well depending on table.

Let's see what I have so far. In no particlar order.

Klodd Rockhopper - Dwarf Rogue (Knife Master) 1
Viana - Human Rogue 1

Wait, this is PFS? I was under the impression it wasn't since you're allowing drawbacks...

Doesn't change my character or anything, I'd just like to know.

Dragon's Demands is a mini AP so it's still like a homebrew of sorts.

Erynion Orvir was querying on whether CS would be given. Whether I give it out depends on the table since some wants it, some never heard of CS and some simply don't care.

Here's the crunch.

Crunch:
Grent
Male Human (Kellid) Barbarian 1
CG Medium humanoid (human)
Init +2; Senses Perception +6
--------------------
Defense
--------------------
AC 14, touch 12, flat-footed 12 (+2 armor, +2 Dex)

--------------------

--------------------
Statistics
--------------------
Str 17, Dex 14, Con 15, Int 10, Wis 11, Cha 10
Base Atk +1; CMB +4; CMD 16
Feats Alertness, Defiant Luck
Traits hard to kill, savage
Skills Acrobatics +6 (+10 jump), Climb +7, Intimidate +4, Perception +6, Ride +6, Sense Motive +2, Survival +4 (+5 to get along in the wild)
Languages Common, Hallit
SQ fast movement, tireless rage
Other Gear leather armor, greatsword, 90 gp
--------------------
Special Abilities
--------------------
Defiant Luck (1/day) Reroll a natural 1 on a save, or force a reroll of a critical hit confirmation roll.
Fast Movement +10 (Ex) +10 feet to speed, unless heavily loaded.
Hard to Kill When dying, your penalty to stabilize is only 1/2 your negative Hp.
Rage (6 rounds/day) (Ex) +4 Str, +4 Con, +2 to Will saves, -2 to AC when enraged.
Savage +1 to Survival checks to get along in the wild.

My fluff might be considered a little deficient at present, but I think it gives a good sense of the character I'm going for. Let me know if you're looking for more.

Fluff:
Grent cares little for your "civilization," and tales of past glories can burn in the Worldwound. It is battle where Grent shines, not talk. The past is unimportant when every day might be the day of your death.

Grent has heard tales of a dragon in the Verduran Forest. Grent would test his mettle against this beast, and get paid for it. That is all you need know of Grent.

What can I say, the guy's Kellid. XD

I'm looking at 6. I could take up to 7 but I've found 6 is a good number.
I already have 2. So there are 4 slots left to fill.

I am pulling out, good luck everyone.

I should finally have time to finish up Klodd's background tonight. On a business trip, and time keeps being squeezed out... :-)

I want to join, maybe? I have a blank character I could make into an Alchemist.

Sovereign Court

Submission is still open.

Hi. I'm looking for someone. He's an elf with a strange mask, perhaps you've seen him? I didn't find him in Varisia, but his latest letter is from this town, so he must be here, right?

This is a character I rolled up for a recent attempt at a PbP for Rise of the Runelord. It wasn't accepted so I figured I could try again. She is hunting down another character in this thread. A cleric of Findeladlara, she believes all people should be one community, but as an elf of Mordant Spire she's still isn't to the point of accepting humans, dwarfs and others as "people" in the classical sense.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have this mod and I have read it through a couple times, but I haven't gm'd or played it yet. I remember a the basic outline, and some of the secrets. On my honor as an Eagle Scout I will do my best not to give anything away, or push the party toward any action based on my out of character knowledge.

Oh, one other thing. She has a strong interest in making friends with a dragon before she returns home. Not that it will come up...

I'm interested in playing a half-orc character, as it's the single core race I've never dipped my toes into playing before (and I have an active PC of every other race on the boards right now!)

I want to be a full BAB class with Handle Animal, and begin the game with two warhounds. The Huntmaster Cavalier, Ranger, and Mad Dog Barbarian all give me a scaling companion, but I'm happy to run straight fighter as well and just retire them to tracking duties instead. Right now I'm leaning toward the Cavalier archetype, HERE. Is that okay with you, nightdeath?

I've experimented with a couple of builds and backgrounds for him, as I'm just tossing him at different recruitment threads waiting for the right game. Essentially his background would be a sad tale of drifting from town to town, turning him into a jaded drunk with only love in his heart for his pet hounds (after all, who else but a dog could love a face like his?). Plenty of room for character development if he's placed into a party who aren't total jerk-bags, so that should be enough to build off on for a module of this size.

Sovereign Court

Alright I like what I see so far.

I'm going through the submissions so far and for the rest of you I hope you finish them by this sunday as I'll post the results by then.

I'm not accepting anymore submissions other than those already listed above.

Pathfinder Lost Omens Subscriber

I'm kind of stretched for time in creating a background for Klodd at the moment. I'm going to tie him into the caravan guard role, but am looking for something unique to distance himself from the "normal" guard role. I probably won't have much time to work on this till Sunday, but I am interested in playing, and like the character.

Sovereign Court

Erynion Orvir - Elf Archivist Bard 1
Adonnenniel Orvir - Cleric of Findeladlara*
Irathes - Half Elf Witch Gravewalker 1

I'll see you in the Discussion Thread. We can get this game started Asap.

To the rest, thank you for your submissions but for party balance somewhat I have chosen the above 4.
