Also, Fethril I missed one of your posts:
The reason for season 5/6 is because I didn't want to do 7 as it's newer, and 8 is current so there's not a lot to offer. Also a number of people got all the season 6 stuffs through Humble Bundle. So there's that reason also. I keep playing a lot of 0/1/2 stuff, and then the newest stuff because people want it, but I've only minimally played season 5 and 6.

I still have a question that was skipped over in the shuffle. There is a scenario in season 6 on your list that has a link from a (lower tier) season 4 scenario. Is there a specific reason to stay with only seasons 5 & 6? I don't want to open up everything, I was just wondering about opening up things if there is a reference to an earlier adventure.

ScorchedOne |

And the reason I missed it is because when you posted it, I was probably writing my post, then you posted your question, and I didn't read back over the posts before that until now when I was totally thread checking.
I mean I'm not 100% against some variance like that, I just wanted some semblance of order. I can toss in some season 4 if they specifically link.
EDIT: I looked into what you mean, and I would be okay with running the scenario that is impacted by 6-07 prior to running 6-07. I have already played the season 4 scenario mentioned, but not run it.
EDIT the Second: I would also be up for running The Confirmation as a first mission, because a) it is probably my favorite or at least in my top three, b) it's evergreen, and c) the rewards on the chronicle sheet are AMAZAH. (Which isn't much of a spoiler, it contains some good not-fully-charged wands.)

ScorchedOne |

That would all depend on how I end up running this. If we have a bard and someone else that can cast CLW, we're pretty set for shifts. If we're in core, I have no problem with you running both, but if we're not in core, I'd need to run the season 4 adventure or I would have to expanded narrative / GM Star / Gencon Tier 1+ Boon it. And I'm trying to save those.

ScorchedOne |

Correct, Raltus. A Core character can play core, but as soon as he/she plays a standard scenario they cease being core (though all their previous experience still counts). A standard character cannot play core.
Core was introduced as a way for people who have played scenarios to play them again without the need for GM replay stars or other things, plus Core is more challenging.

Hi guys! I will be very interested in playing a PFS campaign. I never had the chance to try it and we just finished our tabletop game of Reign of Winter where I was mastering so I got my hands full of time for a project like this. Moreover I am French and we don't have a lot of PFS opportunity in here. But my English is still far from perfect so I would completely understand if you don't have any spot left. Core or not I don't care, but it's been years since I want to try to be part of the PFS experience!

ScorchedOne |

Standard:
Sapiens
Tundran
Core:
Aura, played by Vrog Skyreaver
Awenydd83
Fethril Support, played by Tri-shadow
Sahara Hawkseye, played by Grizzly
Trawets71
Ralthus
Either:
G-Unit
Spazmodeus
GeraintElberion
Angreywiggles
Lornis
I'm currently showing 13. Have I double listed someone, and by I, I mean the list I stole from Vrog?

Lornis |

Lornis, your English seems fine to me. I mean there's a bit there, but nothing that would personally distract me from the narrative (which is the only reason I'd be concerned). Assuming there is room I'll be taking those I can. We'll put you down under either/or.
Very nice of you! Understanding is easy but it is another thing to be able to write and create a rich narrative that don't ruin the game and I am willing to do my best (and to improve myself during the play!) So in case there is a spot for me:
If we go Core I could see myself as a Sorcerer/Dragon Disciple, a Monk (yes I really like the Core Monk), a Priest or a Ranger. Playing a full caster and/or a secondary frontliner.
If we go Standard... So many possibilities! Unchained Monk/Living Monolith or Cavalier as a frontliner, Psychic or Arcanist as a fullcaster, and Mesmerist or Ninja as a skill monkey.

Lornis |

Sounds good I'll wait to see what others in the standard group are thinking. Prefer to play 3/4 bab classes, that gives me a lot of options.
Also, If we have too many players I can sit out to let our French friend into the game.
No way man! It's my fault if I posted too late we will see what everybody decide and if there is still room for me in the end.

Spazmodeus |

Yeah, no sweat. Worst case, someone doesn't play. Pretty much have a core group though, and the others we can shift to standard as they're available. Looks like a good group, we should start working on characters, methinks.
Standard's fine for me. But that opens up a lot more options...probably go monk.

Sorry this week kind of went to hell and I forgot about this thread since its not on my Campaign tab. As for Awenydd/Devildoc, you can call me anything except late to dinner.. that's just a low blow and an unforgivable lie LMAO!
I can play just about anything. I would have to roll up a new character for this thing.. but that should just take a little time that I haven't had this past week. As for class, I can go any direction we need and have fun with it. You mentioned needing a bard.. I can do that pretty easily, even though they are a bit squishy without some of the better options available in standard!
What kind of rotation are you thinking of, ScorchedOne? Round robin changing GM's after each scenario or something more complex?
Just as a note, both of my jobs have me working nights (Central time zone, USA), so my posting is probably going to be out of sync with everyone else. During the week, it will either be early afternoon or about 3 am (before and after work) and over the weekend, it will be exclusively overnight posts (Work 3rd shift at a computer, can post in between work stuff)

G-unit |

Okay so that leaves:
Sapiens – Arcanist, Alchemist, Bloodrager, Kineticist, Monk(Unchained), Skald, Witch
Tundran – Flexible
G-Unit – Flexible
Spazmodeus – Monk?
GeraintElberion - bard/swashbuckler.
Angreywiggles - toolbox support caster
Backup
Lornis – backup (Unchained Monk/Living Monolith or Cavalier , Psychic or Arcanist, and Mesmerist or Ninja)
I'll have an alias and a solid choice put together by tomorrow night eastern USA time.
@Sapiens I crossed Monk (Unchained) off your list because Spazmodeus expressed a desire to run one.

I was leaning toward alchemist but it looks like we need some divine casting help as well as some front-line help. Paladin, Warpriest, Inquisitor, or Naturefang Druid. Any ideas or suggestions?

G-unit |

Not to be too picky but you also lack a rogue. Just saying, trap finding is a thing.
Good point.
If Angrywiggles makes a divine toolbox support caster and Sapiens goes with a bloodrager I could jump in the rogue roll with an investigator or something (or Nature Fang druid gets slayer talents at 4th level).
Wiggles what do you think?

@ScorchedOne: GM, is this recruitment over or can we still submit a PC? I was under the impression that this wasn't a first-come game and was waiting to see if you'd be running core or standard... now that I noticed that your table will be the one running standard I came here to express my interest but by G-unit's post it appears you are already settled on the players even before PCs are submitted.

ScorchedOne |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

It was not originally a first-come prospect, but when those persons expressing interest more than a few days before closing fit into it so nicely, it seemed the most straightforward option.
EDIT: And my statement was not to say that a trapfinder is necessary, I mean my half-orc cleric was my best trapfinder ever (He found ALL the traps! So what if it was by triggering?), but I just wanted to point out something that wasn't previously mentioned.
